So this chapter is weird but i went with it. the kids are eighteen if you were curious.

"So." i said after hearing them explain what was going on, "were in the 24th century i can deal with that. but...we lost world war two?"

"I have told you that seven times." the girl who i had been told was a an alien called a vulcan said typing on what i thought was a notebook but was something called a pad that they stored information on.

"It's still hard to believe." addie said grimacing.

"I mean," robert said "the one thousand year reich only lasted about twenty years. It's hard to believe."

"Well deal with it." the male twin said who was still glaring at me.

"Now be nice." his sister said. She seemed to be nicer than him. "Those kids just woke up in a world they know nothing about. Give them a break."

"You've forgotten who their parents are." he told her.

"Do all twins argue this much?" i asked absentmindedly.

"You've never met a twin?" the brother asked unbelievingly. "With a father like yours..

"Well every time they've been screaming because me or my father was cutting them open with a scalpel." i said imagining the same thing happening to him. "It was a much easier time."

"See he said looking at his sister "she's obviously not right in the head."

"I'm right here you know." i grumbled.

"Now be nice." the cardassian girl said glaring at him. "Would you judge me because of my species?"

"No torian." he muttered. "But this is different. Our ancestors died at the hands of the nazis."

"And mine died at the hands of the federation," she said "much more recently may i add." she added with contempt.

"Interesting, are cardassians not as respected as other species?" addie asked.

"Yes." everyone said at once.

"But more importantly." isaac asked "can we get out of here and go somewhere? I'm getting claustrophobic."

"Yes lets leave." the andorian man said grabbing up his bag.

As we walked out of the underground lab we were surprised that we were still in auschwitz. A cleaner less foreboding auschwitz but still the place that i grew up. The four of us looked at each other "how?" we all asked at once.

"After the end of world war two auschwitz was turned into a museum. Preserved exactly as it was." the vulcan explained.

"Funny." i said "i remember it more bloody, there being a lot more screaming and having less informational plaques."

"i concur." isaac said.

"Yes." robert said looking around.

"I don't see how or why anyone would keep this place." i said gloomily "i mean it's obvius no one wants to think about the holocaust."

"This is the first time we've agreed." the male twin said looking disgruntled.

"Now lewis." his sister said "i think she was just being a pessimist."

"Really leona i thought she was being serious." he said surprised.

"No," i said "i'm actually glad they didn't knock down my childhood home."

"You grew up here?" the andorian man asked.

"What you think i grew up alone in berlin." i said sarcastically. I fell shaking onto a bench trying to sort out memories that i felt like happened yesterday but were really hundreds of years ago.

"You okay?" addie asked concernedly.

"Yes," i said with a shaky laugh. "Just...memories."

"Are you done?" lewis asked annoyedly. His sister swatted him on the shoulder. "What?" he asked, "we should be going. Starfleet will wonder where we are."

"Your being a jerk." she said angrily.

"What?" he asked idiotically.

"I will talk to you later." she said.

Isaac arched an eyebrow "are you sure that your his sister not his mom?" he asked smirking.

"Sometimes i feel like both." she laughed.

So that was fun. Next chapter, starfleet academy.
