Hi all! Sorry for the long wait. I've been quite busy and stressed out lately... Anyway, I am so happy (and I hope, so do you!) to find out that the original Cardcaptor Sakura Manga sequel isn't really just a joke but it's legit! After 20 years since it's started, we now finally have something to look forward to! How cool is that! It feels nostalgic and sweet all of a sudden, thanks to CLAMP for giving this fan service to all this story's followers, right?

Cheers to you all! Here's the new chapter. Special thanks to my bff, insom_aa_niac for the proofreading. :)

[Remastered] I Fell in Love with the Rain

ONE: Blank Canvass

"It's amazing, isn't it?

"It's too high, and it's too wide—your field of vision will give up searching for its end. How pleasing that it is to see the shades of an uninterrupted gradient blue it gives each time.

"It's calm, it's limitless… like it speaks to you to do something and toss in some color. It can be another seamless stretch of azure with wispy, ethereal whites, fiery tangerines or a murky blanket of gloom.

"But overall, it is like a blank, clean canvass, and you're the abstract painter who instinctively moves to where the tip of your brush brings you.

"The next day, it's gone, it's pale, but it is as if it tells you to try something new."

"Kinomoto-san, kindly read the last part of the paragraph, please."

"So, yesterday's artwork is different from today and tomorrow. Just as how we have to deal with the condition of what we should feel about life, about ourselves and for the people we care about at the end of each day.

"Unprejudiced, don't you think?"

"Kinomoto Sakura-san?"

"Listen, S-Sakura… I… I love you."

"Ki-no-mo-to—"

"I love you so much that I don't want to lose—"

"—SA-KU-RA."

The cause of class distraction: she was caught blankly staring at the emptiness of the sky, pondering over something between what had been a random memory from childhood and of what had been making her head pound for about two weeks –wherein both were caused by the same person. The thought behind those words lingered within the deepest of the recesses of her mind, so much that she herself couldn't gauge enough that unexplainable feeling. And by the looks of what was in front of her at the moment, sixteen-year-old Sakura felt like she had just appended the urge to melt further in humiliation.

"I-I'm—S-Sorry! I j-just—" she said in embarrassment, as she abruptly stood up from her chair. Almost all of her classmates' eyes were locked on her— as if accusing her of doing the very last thing that anyone could ever think of in a high-tensioned class discussion. An awkward sound of silence was heard, and after a while, the school bell rang just in time to cap off probably the most bewildering day of her sophomore high school life.

That same bell did save her from an untimely scene and from letting her embarrassment progress further.

Everyone broke off staring at her as noise started to build up in the entire room. Some could be heard whispering about what to do after class, while a few were seen putting away their notebooks back inside their bags.

Sakura was still there… still in a dazed, slightly trembling position.

"Okay, listen up, everyone," Mr. Harada shouted. Everyone literally stopped from what they were doing as they looked back upfront to where their literature teacher—who's probably in his early 30's— was. He folded back his own book and spoke again. "Two days from now, we will have a graded recitation on this topic. Students who will get lower marks on this activity will do a two-hundred-word essay of the same subject. Does everybody understand?"

Many let out a sigh. Others were just timid and bored and responded plainly.

"Class dismissed." Students had stood up, bowed and started to leave one by one while some who circled up in groups were still planning their after-class club activities and others.

"Ms. Kinomoto?" Mr. Harada said as he slowly removed his glasses and looked at her, standing in her place like a dead branch. "Please see me in the teacher's office in 10 minutes."

Sakura agreed by nodding inaudibly.

The teacher left the classroom quietly, along with a few students who wanted to catch up with him to ask some questions. As they fled the room and their voices started to fade away, it was only that time Sakura let out a big sigh. She was putting her books back in her bag and was also set to follow where the teacher was when a pair of warm hands held her tenderly that made her stop. Surprised, she turned around and faced the owner of those hands, and all she saw was a totally worried expression.

"S-Something wrong?" her best friend asked with much concern etched on her pretty face and laced upon her melodic voice.

It took about a while before Sakura spoke back.

"Nah, as if you don't know me, Tomoyo."

"But—"

"I'm okay. I just spaced out a while ago. Aiyaa… What did I just do?" doing a faint laugh, Sakura shyly said while scratching the back of her head. "It's nothing to worry about, okay?" Sakura confidently said as she tapped Tomoyo on both shoulders.

"I insist that you guys"—she quickly side glanced another person standing behind Tomoyo "—go home soon. I can do this!"

Tomoyo shrugged with slight hesitation. "Alright, then. Let me know what Sensei will say, okay?"

"Sure. See you!" Ending on that scene, Sakura quickly left the room.

After a minute or two, Tomoyo –while holding a bag on her right hand, reached for the window and ogled the same sky Sakura was looking at during class.

"It looks normal to me... I guess?" She mumbled softly. "I wonder what's up with Sakura…"

Tomoyo's face might be drawn with curiosity, nevertheless, she was determined to believe that her best friend was the same, albeit absent-minded, person she knew. She lightly chuckled to herself at the mere thought of it. Least to her knowledge, Sakura's smiles were the perfect concealment of her realest sentiments. Certain things would never go back to what they were. No one, not probably even Tomoyo, noticed that she was actually faking all of them…

…except for a pair of brown eyes, that constantly noticed Sakura's every single move, every single word, even her throbbing, despaired reveries.

"But I do hope she's really fine, right?"

"…"

"Li-kun?"

"Thank you, and if you'll excuse me."

Feeling like there was a heater on her cheeks as her face was plastered with a wide smile, Sakura slowly closed the sliding door of the Teachers' Office. Standing with her bag glued on her shoulders, she remained motionless staring at it for a long time. Her sweet, happy looking face was slowly starting to change into a more baffled, serious one.

Mr. Harada didn't scold her nor gave her a torturing homework. Despite the remarkable stern character of that teacher, she was just given a straightforward, yet gentle advice –much to her surprise. She might have been thankful for that side Mr. Harada had shown her, but it did not completely erase the feelings that dissolved her mind into shambles.

Now walking at the hallway silently, gawking on her foot, she didn't even hear nor sense somebody who would actually…

!##Pow!#!

…bump into her accidentally.

"Hnngghh…"

"Oooofff! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry Idon'tknowwhyI'mnotlooking I'mssostupid!" she shrieked in a quick panic, holding her aching head. Damn! She said to herself. Damn! She said it again. Why do I have to apologize for my stupidity twice in a row?!

Too late.

The guy ended up holding his breath and removed something from his eyes that might be awfully damaged.

When she lifted her head, her eyes widened, for she couldn't quite believe seeing this person wearing the same trademark an old friend of hers used to wear.

"Oh my…"

"E-Eh?!"

"Look how beautiful you've grown now."

"..."

"Is… that you? …K-Kinomoto Sakura?"

Rumbling in disbelief, Sakura let out that signature shocked expression.

"HOOOOOOEEEEEEE!"

"Bonjour…"

"It's been a while…"

"Are you kidding me? Four years isn't a while for me," cracked Sakura, as she locked eyes with the person in front of her.

"Thank you." He referred to the waitress who had just delivered their tea. He let out a laugh. "So… how are you now?" He asked.

Eriol Hiiragizawa.

He hadn't change the least, maybe except for his height, voice and now an even brighter face, not like the ones he was always putting on: those unpredictable ones. On the other hand, he still had that charm that every girl way back in the day had swoon over for being a gentleman and possessing a very calm and composed demeanor.

For Sakura, she saw Eriol as someone worth-calling a prince. But giving them the chance to know each other's likes and dislikes, as time went by, she merely thought of him as an ordinary boy, like any other guys but with extraordinary behavior, depending on the situation. He could be a mischievous guy, an all-out listener to your problems, a reliable go-to guy, but he could go back to being silly and charming fellow.

"W-Well..." Sakura paused for a while. "I am contemplating on whether to attend the cram class Touya-nii used to go to after school—"

"Heh…"

Eriol laughed even more, much to her surprise. "I wasn't wrong, Sakura-chan." You're still the same."

"W-What do you mean?"

"I was asking how you are feeling right now, not about the cram school or whatever," he said calmly, letting his face feel the steam that was rising up from his teacup. "You always tend to state the obvious things very objectively and hide the innermost thoughts that concern you the most."

"I-I…" Sakura was startled; she was starting to feel the heat on her cheeks again. "You're starting to sound very scary, Eriol."

"I do? Why not try to tell me something about it?"

"W-What exactly do you l-like me to tell you?"

"Well?" Eriol paused, locked his eyes on hers, as he slowly put down his half-empty cup. "Anything that you like. Better yet, I'd be glad if I'll get to hear all that's inside 'there'." He said, as he pointed at Sakura's chest.

"E-Eriol…"

Still gazing at Sakura's confused eyes, he leaned closer to the table and spoke softly.

"I really missed you… you know…"
