First glance I've had at this story in years, I think. All came from a dream, and who knows this could turn out to be as good as Bohemian Rhapsody. Although I know Ryan Stiles could look at this and say 'this is a weird fuckin' looking thing, isn't it?' Regardless, going to continue...kind of.
They'd all been fighting a half naked old guy with a six pack and a Dumbledore beard, but his strength and the trident he used certainly fended them all off. Caroline and her boyfriend or fiance, whatever; Klaus. This odd klutzy guy who was basically like him in a suit with a stupid haircut and his best friends Rory and Amy who seemed to be married. And him, the ordinary mortal person who hadn't ever traveled through time, wasn't as much of a genius as the Doctor person, and didn't have any special power. All he was trying to do was get back to his best friends. Scott, Kira, Liam, Derek, Lydia. Lydia who had finally become his girlfriend. And Malia...Malia. Malia the were-coyote who was dead. And it was his fault.
Stiles found land after swimming what seemed like hours, dripping with the dark water and shivering in the cold air. He looked around everywhere he could see, and nothing. No arguing voices, no sounds besides the lapping of water on the shore. The Zeppelins had stopped, the lights had gone out. Both good and bad; bad for the vision and good for their protection.
How the hell had they ended up fighting an immortal god of the sea? Poseidon never came to Beacon Hills, Mystic Falls or wherever the British people came from. They'd all been thrown into that specific place together. The Doctor and his friends probably wanted to go on an adventure as they were all still so excited even when the old guy showed up and started swinging the sharp trident at their heads. Caroline and her boyfriend-fiance had been thrown there, like he was, only their situation involved a witch and magic family problems. He couldn't hear a lot of their worried conversation over dodging that damn trident and running. Him? Stiles ended up there because there was a frickin' wormhole, in the forest. He had been the only person there, and was planning on being able to text or call Scott on the other side. But the stupid point B had no cell reception. So they all had to band together, hurriedly get to know each other, and fight an immortal and apparently invincible god of the frickin' sea that was determined to kill them all.
Klaus had lunged at the guy with his mouth wide open, his face all distorted with bulging black veins. Caroline tried the same thing, except also she tried to break the guy's neck. Poseidon was way too strong for both of them though, all he had to do was throw them off. The Doctor pointed a light-up thing at him, read it like there was something to read on the side when there wasn't anything and hid behind things with his friends. Oh yeah, there were big rocks around, enough to protect them but not for long. He lumped in with the Doctor and learned the guy's name. And was very grateful that bowtie guy was going to send him back to where he came from. An alternate dimension where he ruled part of the world, namely England. During the period of time when the saying 'the sun never sets on the British empire' was still current. Which scared them all more.
