He hadn't been able to sleep, tossing and turning because he was sure that Alucard was up to nothing good, but he hadn't seen the monster for a few days. Stuck in a cabin with what was supposedly a dragon. Laelkae was an odd duck for certain but she took care of him, making sure he ate and drank plenty and that he wasn't too bored at any given time.
But this was a prison just as surely as the Auction house had been. He was still waiting on pins and needles for the next step of this, whatever this was and it didn't help that Alucard came and went as he pleased. Laelkae said he'd only been here nine days but it felt like more, it felt like he'd been here weeks. Maybe she was lying to him? Maybe they were doing something to him, she was a witch after all. She said that only applied to humans, but how could she really be a dragon?
The sunlight felt warm against his skin as he lounged in the breakfast nook. Coffee gently steaming on the table, next to a plate of bacon, poached eggs, Grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, sliced and fried Black pudding.
Not his normal fair, but Laelkae ate this normally. Maybe she was British then? This was way too much for him, he normally had caffè latte with bread or rolls, butter, and jam. Maybe he should just tell her why he wasn't finishing his meals because he ate light all day and she cooked mostly British food as far as he could tell.
"I'm sure he'd like this sight." He blinked and looked up, Laelkae smiled softly at him. Who would like what sight? "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about." She tilted her head; "Alucard. I would think he'd appreciate your beauty in the morning light."
He didn't want to like that but a warmth blossomed in his chest at the thought that Alucard would think him beautiful. The beast would just eat him in the end, taking all his hopes and dreams with the last of his blood.
"How long am I going to stay here? How long will I live?" She frowned as she sat across from him. "Enrico, Alucard didn't save your life just to kill you. He saved your life for Anderson's sake, your priest asked Alucard for help. To save your life not take it." He didn't believe that for one second. Alexander Anderson would rather he chose the route of no sin and after what had happened to him, he wasn't sure he would be able to go back to the church even if he did somehow get out of this mess.
If he didn't return what would he do though? He didn't know all that much outside of being a Bishop, Maybe he could learn to do something new but it would be hard for him, with nothing but the clothes on his back, but people worse off then he managed to climb back up.
He shuttered and laelkae frowned at him; "You're conflicted and I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through. I've never been a slave to anything, I've always had my free will... But, Alucard. He'd understand feeling trapped and frightened about what was coming next." He wasn't a slave, he was simply trapped with dangerous monsters. There also was no way he would talk to the thrice-damned vampire about anything of a personal or emotional matter, there simply wasn't anything he trusted Alucard with.
His keeper's eyes roamed his face and she sighed; "Seriously, you need someone to talk to. Someone who might be able to at least allow you to get it all out. There are bound to be things that happened while you were at the Auction House. Things talking to Alucard might be able to begin the healing process. Lord knows I just can't help." and she swept off. He let out a shaky breath he knew he'd been holding but couldn't help the reaction. He was under a great deal of stress still, not knowing how much longer one had to live was very stressful after all.
She had a point though, she couldn't help him, but her devotion to Alucard only made him uneasy, why would he believe her about Alucard? So the vampire had purchased him to 'save him' but what if he changed his mind because he could, both Alucard and Laelkae were the only ones who knew he was here in this quaint little cabin.
What if Alucard chose to defile and eat him instead as the vampires in the auction house had said he'd be treated? Alucard had never shown mercy before as far as he knew.
