Unwanted Guests!

In Malibu, Logan got stuck with sharing a room with Soifon again. Naturally, he insisted on sleeping in the chair, but that resulted in their first post-relationship argument. Soifon feared that more, even worse arguments were to come, so she took a breather and went outside on the balcony while letting Logan have the chair. "What am I doing here?" she asked herself. "If Logan and I are just going to fight, then I shouldn't have come. I'm still scared of what he and Stark have planned." She then regained her scowl and clenched her fist. "No! I'm the Squad 2 Captain! I don't take orders from anyone but the Head Captain and Lady Yoruichi! Despite all of his power, Logan's a simple human! He's no Ichigo Kurosaki! I was actually able to hit Thor once and he didn't get a scratch on him! That right there makes me better than him!"

She then remembered what she came there for. "But then again, I am here to get him back. If he sleeps in the chair, then I'll sleep in the bed for tonight." Soifon did get a devious little smirk on her face. "It doesn't mean that I can't give him a little show, though." Before she went back in, a Hell Butterfly popped right in her face. Since it did, Soifon figured out that it was Rangiku that sent the message. "What is it, Lieutenant Matsumoto?" she asked tiredly.

"Captain Soifon, this is some news you might want to hear. It turns out that there are several souls unaccounted for, including Charlie Nash and Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America. Other unaccounted souls include James Howlett, Victor Creed, and James Barnes. It's likely that Aizen only affected Charlie Nash, but you might want to look for their souls as well."

"That information could help us, but Logan's been unable to pick up Lieutenant Nash's soul. If Aizen and Bison were working together to make sure we didn't get that one, then we were in deeper trouble than I thought. He most assuredly would've been able to pick up Barnes, Howlett, Creed, and Rogers' souls as well. Something interfered with each of them. Maybe Logan or Stark might have some answers." Soifon looked inside at the Assassin, who was lying on the chair in deep thoughts. "Now where was I…oh yes!" she said with a grin on her face.

Once the Squad 2 Captain opened the door and leaned in the frame, Logan looked up at her. He took a deep breath and about got up, but she Flash Stepped in front of him and pushed him back in the chair. "Soifon, I'm sorry for arguing with you over a simple chair. I-I just thought you'd be more comfortable with the bed," he said before she put her hands on his shoulder and straddled him. Before he could say anything, Soifon put her finger on his lips and shushed him.

"I know. You were only being a gentleman and I like that. I've always loved that about you. However, what's the point in having an extremely soft and fluffy bed if you don't get to share it with the one you love? That's what I was trying to get in your thick skull," she said, lightly tapping on his head. "Now, it's a good thing that Stark's not here and he doesn't have any cameras in this bedroom. Only you get to see the show." Logan was about to ask until she shushed him again and gave him a flirty wink. He realized that she was about to perform a striptease just for him.

The next day, the outside of the museum was packed. There were a ton of fans lined up to either get a picture with a Captain America cutout or an autograph from Tony or Thor. Some even stood by a cutout of Bucky. It was an hour until the exhibit officially opened, which meant that the charity event started. Pepper stood at the platform wearing a yellow plaid version of her business suit. "Okay, ladies and gentlemen, are you ready to get this started?!" she asked, speaking through the microphone. Everyone cheered as the charity event was about to take place. Soifon and Logan were on opposite sides of the platform that Pepper moved to the front of. The Assassin was in a pair of white and blue swimming trunks and a red t-shirt while Soifon was wearing her outfit that she arrived in. She grew nervous when she heard the murmuring about her Chinese appearance. "Uh…well, um…" Pepper began until Tony took the microphone from her.

He began by clearing his throat. "Now listen, folks," he said. "I believe that Captain America had taught us the virtues of America. Among these is Freedom. While our government is a real pain in the rear end when it comes to our laws, they can't take away anyone's freedom to cosplay at an event dedicated to an all-American hero like Captain America. If he saw anyone who was of Chinese descent embracing either the virtues of our nation or the colors of our flags, he would be proud of them. So how about you cheer Miss Shaolin Feng on, okay?!" At Tony's words, the audience slowly began to clap and cheer Soifon on.

Tony gave the mic back to Pepper. "Um…well thank you, Mr. Stark, for those thoughtful words. That was Tony Stark everybody! Now, let's get to this little fundraiser! These dunk tanks are designed for our two participants to…well, get dunked in. Normally, they would have to throw some balls until both buttons on each tank are hit. However, instead of balls, they'll be throwing knives at the buttons. It makes for great chemistry since they can trust each other. We were planning to have Hawkeye in Miss Feng's place, but after a little scuffle with Deadpool that our other participant Logan Washburn here ended in his and Hawkeye's favor, the Agile Archer has suffered a bit of a concussion. In his place, we have Logan's ex-girlfriend Miss Shaolin Feng! Also, the charities that the proceeds are going to are the 'Howard Stark Memorial Hospital' and the 'American Red Cross', with an additional charity that Logan's doing for the ALS Foundation."

After the announcement, everyone looked and saw a bucket over Logan's head. Soifon was too concerned about that to notice one above her own head. However, she knew that this was for charity, so she decided not to call him on it. She got her kunai ready while Logan got some Trick Knives. When Pepper fired a pistol, they threw the knives, hitting each other's buttons with precision and dropping each other in their tanks. Logan resurfaced and hit a third button to his immediate left. The bucket tipped over and ice water fell on him. The audience, Pepper, Tony, Soifon, and Thor saw that he had survived and cheered out in applause, with Soifon and Tony breathing a sigh of relief. The Squad 2 Captain then noticed a fourth button—right to Logan's immediate right. "Um, Logan, what's that fourth button for?" she asked, getting the attention and murmuring of the audience members.

Pepper glared at Tony and Thor when she saw them smirk. "This one isn't for charity, Soifon!" he exclaimed. "This is just payback!" He slammed the button with his right fist, making a bucket full of ice water fall on her as well. When she emerged, they glared at each other, her reason being that she knew that he was up to something devious while he glared at her to predict her next move. They then smirked, and then laughed, making the audience cheer again.

A while later, the two participants had gotten their picture taken by Peter Parker, a photographer for the Daily Bugle who wore glasses, a brown jacket, blue jeans, a light blue shirt, and a camera around his neck. Now they were drying off. It was a good thing that Soifon's outfit was waterproof or Logan would have to pay for a new one. "Well, well, aren't you just the object of every girl's wet dream," said a familiar voice. Logan turned and frowned for a good reason. Before him was Crimson Viper, the CIA agent he and Chun-Li had to deal with during the tournament. As usual, she was wearing her business pants and jacket with a white shirt and yellow shades. Also as usual, she had her tie in her cleavage.

"First, my ex shows up last night, then we nearly get killed by Thor, and now I've got to deal with you, Maya. Don't you have a daughter you need to get back to? Oh wait. You must be on CIA duty again," he said harshly.

"I guess the only women you'd get along with are the Interpol Officer and the Delta Red soldier with that attitude. I'm actually here because Lauren wanted to come here." Logan and Soifon's attention was brought to a girl that was standing beside Viper. Logan could definitely see a resemblance between them. "Lauren, I'd like you to meet my good friend Logan Washburn."

"It's nice to meet you. Whatever your ex-girlfriend did, I'm sorry. I bet she deserved that bucket of ice water falling on her," she said, glaring at Soifon. The Squad 2 Captain lost her respect for the girl after that remark. "But now that you and she aren't together anymore, maybe you can marry my mom. I'm sure she would be glad for that."

Before Soifon could shoot her mouth off, Logan placed an arm in front of her. "I'm sorry, Lauren, but I'm already in a relationship. I can't just leave her for your mother. Besides, she's not too crazy about her."

"Oh."

"It's alright, sweetie," Maya said, patting the shoulder of her clearly saddened daughter before turning to Logan. "I understand. If you and Little Miss Delta Red break up, the offer still stands." After the mother-daughter duo left, Logan and Soifon took a deep breath.

"Thank God. I almost lost it there," she said. "Thanks for holding me back. I was about to do something I would've regretted later."

"I know. But when something ticks you off and you're about to do something like that, it's usually best to take a breather. Why do you think I went to Metropolis when you and I got into an argument that one time?"

"I thought it was to spy on Luthor. I didn't realize it was a breather."

"I wanted to get out before we started an argument that even Yoruichi couldn't break up. If it was to spy on Luthor, I would've brought you with me. We fight a lot, but believe me when I say that I still care about you, Soifon. That's why I'm more careful with what I say when I'm around you. Are you dried off yet?"

"Y-Yeah," she answered while blushing. After that, they went inside with 5 minutes to spare.

Soon, the exhibit was open for everyone to see. The main attraction was a statue of Captain America that everyone, including Logan, was admiring. It disappointed him that neither Guile nor Charlie would be around to see it, but he knew that Guile was busy and Charlie was dead. He didn't know that his soul was unaccounted for since Soifon hadn't revealed that info to him yet. He also knew Peter was excited since the reporter was taking photos of everything Captain America (except Soifon's outfit since he figured Logan was still protective of her) with a smile on his face. Peter's date was a young blonde woman wearing blue jeans, a pink sweater, and a pair of wire frame glasses. She was just as excited about the exhibit as he was. "So, Logan," said Tony, who came out of nowhere. "How are you enjoying the exhibit?"

"I think it's awesome. Captain America would be proud. Hey, is this opening in other museums across the country?" Logan asked.

"Given time, it will. Captain America wasn't just a hero to you, Peter Parker, or any kid your age. My dad often told good stories about him to me. As you saw in the photos at the hospital, Captain America and Howard Stark were very close friends. I envy him in the fact that he actually got to meet him in person. What about you, Miss Feng?"

"I'm enjoying the tour just fine, Mr. Stark," Soifon answered.

"While Soifon and I were drying ourselves off, we ran into a woman who was trying to get me to help her raise her daughter that was only 12 years younger than me. That almost ruined our day," Logan said.

"Does this woman have a name?"

"Her name's Maya, and while I do have a little more respect for her now than I did when I was 16, she's still a pain in the neck. That's her over there with her daughter." Tony looked to where Logan was indicating and saw Crimson Viper with Lauren.

"Now I don't see how you could pass that up, especially when you were sixteen."

"Part of my school district's sport was fighting. She put a quarantine on it and threatened my friends. That's why I dislike her. Eight years later, during the preliminary rounds of the tournament, Chun-Li fought her and won. For the sake of staying civil, I tried to be a little nicer to her today, but I'm barely holding the reigns."

"Oh, so she's FBI, is that it?"

"Actually, she's CIA. Even Lauren knows about Maya's job, and while I do feel sorry for her, I'm still not going to be her stepfather. Maybe more of an uncle or something since Maya, or Crimson Viper as she's called, is six years older than I am." Suddenly, a crash came down on the window caused by another familiar face in a mask. "Vega!" Logan gritted through his teeth. Balrog and several other beings followed. One of the beings was a man wearing a green garb and silver metal armor, including a mask. There was another who was in red with purple accents, including a metal helmet.

"Magneto and Doctor Doom? There's a good combination," Tony said sarcastically.

"Tony, you better suit up."

"That's a bad move kid. If I suit up, Magneto has a better chance of controlling me since Iron Man is all metal. He's a mutant with the ability to control metal objects. That helmet of his also prevents him from being controlled by telepaths. You'd be better off fighting him in hand-to-hand combat if you can get to him."

"That's just great. I've got to knock someone else out first, though." He Flash Stepped off to find his target, leaving Tony confused until Soifon clarified it.

"He has an intense rivalry with Vega that grew more intense as time went on. While they respect each other, they outright hate one another, more Logan than Vega," she said, making Tony understand Logan's specific target.

The Assassins met up in the middle of the floor glaring at each other. "Going somewhere, Vega?" Logan asked.

"I didn't expect you of all people to be here. I suggest you step out of the way, boy."

"Aw, and after I've tried my damnedest to help Decapre."

"Much appreciated," Vega said before attacking his rival. As Vega was about to strike Logan with his claw, the Assassin grabbed his wrist and tossed him back. Vega charged again, but was slammed by Thor. The hit sent the Shadaloo assailant to the other side of the room and knocked him out.

"I figured thou could use some help," Thor said.

"Next time, stay out of it," said Logan. The statement, combined with Logan's glare surprised Thor. The two of them saw that Doctor Doom was emitting electricity from his hands and firing them towards the duo, but he got webbed in the face. They saw an acrobatic figure wearing a red-and-blue full-body outfit with spider webs on the red parts and a black spider on the front. "Isn't that Spider-Man?"

"At your service," Spider-Man said. Logan saw that all of the civilians were leaving except for Viper and Lauren, the former of which was ready to fight. Doctor Doom shot some lightning at them, but the Assassin got them out of the way while Soifon and Tony kept fighting off their share of henchmen. They were back-to-back with Thor and Spider-Man.

"I do not understand. One minute, Logan is docile and friendly, and the next, he takes issue with me knocking out an opponent for him," Thor said.

"Well it turns out that Logan hates that guy. The two of them were rivals since the tournament, so I understand why he was upset about you dealing with Vega," explained Tony.

"I see."

"Grrr. Maya, I want you to take Lauren and get out of here!" Logan exclaimed as Doom kept pelting him with electric blasts.

"No way! I'm staying here to help deal with them! You are talking to an agent of the CIA!"

"Yeah, I know! But you priorities mixed up! You're a mother first and an agent second! Now you and Lauren get out of here before you get yourselves killed!" Too shocked to argue, Viper nodded and took her daughter out of the museum. They got out just in time as two metal slabs sandwiched Logan between themselves. They looked and saw Magneto using his power to hold the Assassin in place. Doctor Doom then shocked the metal, which shocked Logan due to the metal conducting the electricity. This prevented the Assassin from using his 'Shoryuken' to bust out.

Soifon was going to act, but Spider-Man beat her to it. He slammed Doom again and then switched his target to Magneto. Before he could web the Master of Magnetism, however, Doom grabbed him by the head, slammed him on the beams, and tossed him into a vault that was a mystery even to Tony. Despite his initial reservations due to Magneto's powers, Tony decided to suit up anyway. Once he was in the armor, he fired some sonic blasts at the two villains, which freed Logan. Now he was angry. Before he could do something, though, a shield was thrown into the air. It caught both Doctor Doom and Magneto off guard and hit them on the head.

Logan got a good look at the shield and saw that it was circular with a red-white-and-blue color scheme. He and the others followed the trajectory of the shield and saw that it returned to its original owner, who wore a blue suit with a white star on the chest, white wings on the sides of the head, and an 'A' on the forehead. His biceps were white, his gloves and boots were red, and the middle of the suit was a red and white striped pattern. This was the man of the hour himself: Captain America! Iron Man saw that he was carrying an unconscious Spiderman on his shoulder as well. "Well what do you know? He's here after all," Balrog said, catching Logan's attention.

"We must retreat," Magneto said, ticking off Doom.

"Why when he's in our near grasp?"

"Because, Victor, we aren't properly equipped to deal with Captain America." With that, Magneto used his power and grabbed Doctor Doom and headed out with the rest of the conscious troops.

Logan stumbled and rejoined the others, to Soifon's concern. "Logan, are you alright?" she asked.

"I'm fine, Soifon. It's just a couple of bruises, that's all," he said, trying to play it off like it was a minor injury. He turned to Captain America, who was humored at the words. "You picked a good time to come to our aid, Captain. Thanks."

"Don't thank me, son. You would've done the same thing if you weren't sandwiched by the mutant in red," the Super Soldier said, surprising Logan with the fact that he knew a mutant when he saw one.

"Well, there's one of the unaccounted souls," Soifon whispered. Logan happened to have heard it, as seen by the look he gave her. She took him to speak with him in private. "I got a report from Lieutenant Matsumoto about at least 5 souls that have been unaccounted for, including your friend Charlie Nash. Until now, one of them was Captain America."

"And you didn't tell me this why?"

"I didn't tell you until now because I thought you were getting sick and tired of getting involved in Soul Society's business." She saw that he had his hands on his sides and shaking his head.

"I will admit that you guys tend to get on my nerves, some more than others. This even includes Byakuya Kuchiki. But you guys are my friends. If there's something I need to know, then let me in on it. If this list includes Charlie, I especially need to know then. That way, I can let Guile know of the progress there." He saw that Soifon's expression was downcast. "Who are the other unaccounted souls that Rangiku listed off?" he asked.

"Their names are James Howlett, Victor Creed, and James Barnes." Logan had a smile on his face when he heard 'James Barnes'. "What's so funny?"

"If you can carry me, I'd like to show you something." Soifon was surprised at the statement. "I still have a small amount of trust in you." The Squad 2 Captain smiled back and acted as a human crutch, walking him to a picture he was indicating at. It showed a young man wearing a blue western outfit with red gloves, a red scarf, and a brown belt with a Silver Star buckle. "This, Soifon, is James Barnes. His nickname was 'Bucky' and he was Captain America's sidekick. As a matter of fact, Bucky is the first sidekick, long before Dick Grayson was even born."

"Wow…I never knew that Captain America had a sidekick. Did he get frozen like the Captain did?"

"I don't know," Logan said wearily. This alarmed Soifon, so she tried to hold him up. He passed out on the floor.

"Logan!" she exclaimed, alarming the heroes as well. "We've got to do something for him!"

"Don't worry. I know where to take him. I was going to introduce you to a couple of new patients anyways, so it's pretty convenient. Hawkeye's probably woken up by now as well," said Iron Man. Thor looked and saw that Vega was still there and just now waking up. The God of Thunder grabbed him by the arm and glared at him.

"Can I help you, Goldilocks?" Vega asked.

"I do not eat from the porridge of bears or sleep in their beds. Thou art coming with us!"

After getting Logan on a bed in the hospital, the remaining crew members looked at the X-rays. They saw that there were miraculously no bones broken from Magneto's attack. Soifon chalked the stumbling to strained and bruised muscle while Tony attributed to the lack of broken bones the amount of milk he drinks. Still, it didn't mean that there was a lack of concern from either one of them. "Now that we have him situated, he should pull through. How are you doing, Clint?" Tony asked as he saw Hawkeye getting out of bed.

"Good. Sorry I wasn't there for the charity event."

"That's alright. An old friend of Logan's took your place there. Speaking of Logan, he could really use the other Logan's healing factor right about now."

"What happened?"

"Doctor Doom and Magneto happened. They sandwiched him in-between two metal plates and shocked him to near death. Luckily, Doom made the mistake of sending Spider-Man into a vault and thawing out Captain America here. Another good thing is that Logan came out of it with just bruises, pulled muscles, and a few cramps."

"I can see where Wolverine's healing ability would come in handy," Hawkeye said. "So who are those two over there?"

Soifon was still too worried about Logan to see where Hawkeye was pointing at, so despite the fact that their relationship was over thanks to her slapping him and ending it, she kissed him on the cheek. She felt that she didn't have the right to kiss him on the lips anymore, so that was the best she could do. "I don't know, Clint. I haven't seen them before," said Tony. Logan stirred, barely awake, and sat up. "Welcome back to the land of the living, kid."

"T-Thanks," he said while struggling. "Apparently, Spirit Sense kicks in even when I'm unconscious. I'm picking up two Spirit Signatures coming from the guy there."

"Lie down and rest. You had a hard day," said Soifon. The Assassin had to comply since he was under care right now. "We can talk when you're all rested up. I hate to do it, but I'll call Chun-Li and Cammy and tell them what happened." Logan nodded and went back to sleep.

"I wonder what he meant by 'two Spirit Signatures'," Hawkeye said.

"I have a better question: where the hell is Thor?" asked Tony, who got a smirk from Captain America.

"He's interrogating the prisoner he picked up." Just then, Thor came into the room looking a little frustrated. "What'd you get from him?"

"I'm afraid I couldn't get anything from that cur. He won't divulge the location of Doctor Doom and Magneto, nor would he let me know who they were working with. I've been at it for the two-and-a-half hours that Logan's been unconscious."

"Well Soifon called his girlfriend and her best friend over. Until they get here, she's on guard duty for him while he's asleep. We should call it a night. Vega can spend his in jail where he belongs." Once Soifon got back, she informed them that Chun-Li and Cammy were on their way, leaving out the part where Chun-Li shouted at her. Now she sat in a chair by Logan's bed and watched over him, making sure no harm was to come to the Assassin.

CHAPTER 2 END

I've been writing some long chapters lately. If you read 'Digimon Tamers: A Different Story', you'll find that Chapter 22 is my longest document ever. I don't think I can do that again unless it's another copy-and-paste job. Just so you know, Soifon's going to be OOC like she was in my other fics with Logan in them (I'm obviously not talking about Wolverine here).

So Captain America has been freed from the ice he has been placed in, carrying Spider-Man and rescuing Logan from Doctor Doom and Magneto. What will happen next? Stay tuned.
