Takes place between Chapters 52 and 53

Anna POV

"What's your New Year's resolution?" Bucky asked me, raising his hand and twirling me smoothly before catching me tight.

There was a little get together down in the bunker, but Bucky and I, like some other couples, had opted for some alone time. Falsworth was taking Kiku to a nice restaurant, then to a dance club he knew she'd like. Some of the radio men, assistants and runners had mustered up the courage to ask a few of the pretty secretaries out for the night. Some, like Peter, had girls back home. Howard thought it was ridiculous that they couldn't kiss their sweethearts at midnight, and arranged for several dozen long distance phone calls to different places in the US.

Bucky and I opted to stay in our apartment, drink some nice wine Bucky won from Howard in a game of poker and listen to some good music and 'dance our way into the New Year,' as Bucky put it; I was more than happy to listen to Glenn Miller all night and dance with my man.

We had quite a collection of music now; everyone with a record player shared and traded them. I thought I had a nice selection for us to dance tonight, but Bucky went and got only Glenn Miller. The great conductor's plane had disappeared not too long ago, and Bucky had been bothering Phillips for weeks to take just a few days to help look for the guy. Phillips kept saying no.

"I don't know." I told Bucky honestly. "I've never been very good about keeping them."

"Me neither, but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna make them." Bucky countered.

"Alright…" I trailed off, thinking. "I resolve to dance with you every day." I told him. Just as the words left my mouth, Bucky dipped me low and grinned.

"Now that's a resolution." Bucky said, pulling me back up.

"Ok, I told you mine, what about you? If I have a resolution, you need to have one too." I told him as we danced around our kitchen; the only place with enough room.

"Hm…" Bucky trailed off, clearly thinking hard. "How about this; I resolve to make you smile every day, even when I'm not here."

I felt my heart swell up. "I…I like that one."

We could hear the people at the pub across the street start to yell out a countdown, just like last year.

"TEN!"

"NINE!"

"EIGHT!"

"SEVEN!"

"SIX!"

"FIVE!"

"FOUR!"

"THREE!"

"I love you, Bucky."

"TWO!"

"And I, love you, Glow."

"ONE!"

That was my second New Year's kiss.
