Embry x OC
(Set After Breaking Dawn)
Embry Call has lived most of his life hidden in the shadows of others. He never felt like he belonged anywhere; never knew who his father was, and tried his hardest to fit in. When he phased at the age of sixteen, Embry realized that his father was a Quileute, but he was soon dubbed as a bastard child. As Embry spent a few years with the pack, he still didn't know who he was, so he decided to leave the pack and go on an adventure in order to find himself.
While Embry went on an adventure of self-discovery, he stumbled upon a territory belonging to a powerful wolf pack, led by a legendary family known as Lyell. Stories have been told of the famous Lyell family, but Embry never expected himself to imprint on the heiress presumptive.
Celina Lyell was born in a line of a powerful lycanthropes, and for her to be one of the females with such tremendous powers, Celina was an easy target. Not only was she an easy target for war, but she was a desirable potential mate for any lycanthropes or shapeshifters. When a mysterious shapeshifter comes across her family's territory, Celina felt drawn to him, but at the same time she was skeptical of who he was.
As a war begins from the outside, and the La Push Gang are searching for their friend, Embry and Celina's relationship begins to grow. How long will it last, before it becomes too late?
This story will be updated on Tuesdays for the time being, unless a change has been made.
A/N: If you're interested in reading new stories and you're also a fan of The Vampire Diaries or Harry Potter, please check out one of my friend's work. Her penname is Brookeworm3, and her story is called "The Vampire Diaries Harry Potter: The Dark of You". I've read it, and I really enjoy it!
Also, I apologize for the delay in writing. With a lot of things going on, and the holidays, I'm trying my hardest to get back into writing, but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. I will do my best to post as often as I can, but it will take some time to do that, so I'm working out a schedule for when I'm posting certain stories and on what days, since there are a lot of them, but I'll let you know soon.
Chapter 2
Embry wasn't sure what was happening, but somehow he couldn't get Celina out of his head. There was something about her that made her stand out from the rest, asides from the fact that she is the daughter of the Alpha. There was something mysterious about her, and he couldn't figure out what it was. Embry wanted to get close to her, but almost every other guy in the room had either pulled her aside to talk with her, or even pulled her on the dance floor for a dance or two.
Right now, she's dancing with a burly guy who has a slash on his face, stretching from the top of his head, across his left eye, all the way down his cheek.
Embry didn't realize he was growling until Gavin came up to him and handed him a beer. "Well, if I didn't know any better, I say that you're jealous."
"I'm not jealous,"
"Uh-huh, sure you aren't." Gavin replied, patted him lightly on the back. "It's okay, I'm kind of the same way about someone."
Embry chuckled and said, "Who's your someone you like?"
Gavin's eyes fell toward a man with scars along his body, and a Celtic tattoo on his arm. "His name is Darius, but he's competing for Celina. It doesn't matter how I feel, but I care about my friendship with Celina...and my friendship with Darius."
"Wait, he has no idea how you feel about him?"
Gavin shook his head. "It doesn't matter, and besides, I'm a human and who knows what would happen if he and I were together. Even though that kind of relationship is allowed now in this land, there's no guarantee that it'll happen for me and him, and that's if he feels the same way."
"You deserve to be happy," Embry replied, as he turned back to watch Celina still dancing with the beefed-up guy. "We all do,"
"Well, it seems like now you know who Adrian looks like."
"Wait, what?"
Gavin pointed at the meathead dancing with Celina. "That's the guy I was telling you about. He's from another pack, and he's ruthless. He kills to get what he wants, and he will go for the kill, I kid you not."
"Wait, that's the guy you were telling me about?"
"Yep, and believe me, he is ruthless. He's been trying to find his third wife for a while now."
"Third?"
"Yep, his first one died during childbirth, and his second one was killed for cheating on him with one of his loyal pack brothers. Trust me, he's one crazy guy. He will do whatever it takes to win Celina over, unless..."
Embry looked at him and raised his eyebrow. "Unless what?"
"Unless you are able to defeat him,"
"She doesn't even know me, Gavin. What makes you think that I can win her."
"Do you want her?"
The truth was Embry did wanted her, and she is his soul mate, his imprint. He would do anything to protect her, and he means anything. "I want her to be safe, and right now, she doesn't feel safe around that guy."
"Well, maybe now's the time to step in and get your girl." Gavin gave him a nudge, as Embry walked toward Celina. Her eye met his, and he could see the fear in her eyes, but also the gratitude of him stepping in. Embry tapped Adrian's shoulder and said, "Mind if I cut in?"
"Yes, I do mind." Adrian said, but Celina stopped him and said, "Adrian, I think it's best that I dance with all of my suitors, as you and I have danced most of the night."
"My apologies, Celina." Adrian replied, kissing her hand, but Embry could tell that she didn't like it at all. Once Adrian moved aside, or more so bumped his shoulder against Embry's, Embry looked at Celina and smiled at her. "May I?"
Celina smiled, placing her hand in his, as he pulled her close and started to dance. "I've never seen you around here before, who are you?"
Looking down at her, his hand went protectively around her back. "I'm Embry Call, and that would make you Celina Lyell, right?"
She laughed at his joke, and nodded. "Yes, that would be me, unfortunately."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because it's hard to live a normal life when it's always in danger or not. I wish for normalcy than magic,"
"You're not the only one," he replied, causing Celina to stop for a moment, but continue on with the dance.
"Who are you, Embry Call?"
"I'm the guy who wants you to be happy, no matter what. The question is, who are you, Celina Lyell?"
"Honestly, I wish I knew who I was...but I'm started to learn from you who I'm meant to be."
As they smiled and danced, up from the stairs, Henry and Lana stood and watched as their daughter danced with the mysterious werewolf. "Our daughter seems happy with him, who is he?" Lana asked her husband.
"It seems to me that he's from the Quileute pack, but I initially extended it to their leader. Must be that he has a mate already, so they sent someone who doesn't have one. Only thing is, I don't know who he is."
"Well, whoever he is, I hope that he will win our daughter's hand and heart."
"What makes you so sure he'll win?"
"The way he looks at her, as if she's the only one in the room. The same way you looked at me when we met, my love."
Henry smiled and kissed Lana's temple, as they looked on. Standing by the other side of the stairs, another man came over to watch...and when he saw Embry...he knew.
He knew that it was his son...
