AUTHORS NOTE: Okay, I know that this is a really short chapter, and that there is really no excuse for my taking so long to update. However I will explain why it has taken so long. I started Medical school in September, followed by my mother being admitted to the hospital, my cousin coming to live with us, as well as her children and husband, and my switching jobs. On top of all of that, my computer crashed, and I've had writers block. I apologize for the wait. I will update when possible. I appreciate all the feedback I have received, it has encouraged me to not just delete my account and abandon my writing. Again I'm sorry it has taken so long to update my stories.

Eyes snapping open a silent scream issued itself from the once stunning young woman's lips, her back arching unnaturally, spine creaking as it arched her higher from the frigid surface of the metal slab, snaps and pops emitting from beneath the slowly healing flesh, once light as mocha, now darker than the sky before sunrise, the chill radiating from the surface of the ebony skin cold enough to keep any from touching it.
"Sir! She's having another event!" Cried a nurse, rushing to the woman's side, attempting to force her seizing body back onto the table.
"Sedate her!" Ordered a greying man, rushing into the room, the catwalk ringing with his footsteps as he rushed to reach the young woman. "It's too early! She's not ready yet!"
Reaching blindly for the clear vial filled to the brim with multiple medications brewed just to keep the young woman sedated during her reconstruction, the nurse skillfully filled a needle, jamming it into the patient's heart, frowning as the plunger caught, the thick substance known to be her blood creeping slowly from the puncture wound, filling the vial, staining the clear liquid with an unnatural tint.
"Sir, she's rejecting it!"
"Give it to me." Ordered the doctor, finally reaching the slab, ripping the needle from the nearly frozen corpse, jamming it into the torn flesh of her neck, forcing the plunger the rest of the way down, giving a sigh as the woman collapsed back on the table, icy eyes rolling into the back of her head.
His skilled yet aged fingers fished a small recorder from his pocket, free hand running through his white curls. "Event seventy-two. Patient one has woken yet again. Her body is rejecting the cure. She fights the sleep. We are running out of time to cure the frost formed throughout her body. Marcella Ottaviani La Cava will never be the same young woman she was before this tragedy. God rest her soul."

Sergeant Major Marcella Ottaviani La Cava was not a cold hearted woman, merely indifferent to the menial lives of the civilians surrounding her, the differences in their lives more blatant than ever as she sat in the gentle shade of the fast food restaurant, waiting patiently for the young woman known as Jenna to show. Taking a small sip from the iced coffee held loosely in her right hand Marcella watched the people filtering past from her perch on the patio, the sun beating unrelentingly through the leaves against her snowy skin, the complaints of the city rats fluttering to her sensitive ears on the humid barely there breeze.
Pursing her lips Marcella took another sip of the chilled drink, well aware that the city inbreeds would die without their luxuries.
Flickering her icy orbs the door cracking open onto the patio Marcella watched as the familiar face of her younger sister appeared around the door, following the teen known as Jenna as she led her to Marcella's table.
"Okay." Stated Jenna, pulling one of the two empty chairs of for the stunning brunette, urging her to sit. "This is it."
"This is my surprise?" Questioned the brunette, pursing her lips into a frown as she glanced once at the stranger across from her, turning her chocolate eyes back on her friend. "I don't even know her."
"But you do." Replied Jenna, flopping into the empty seat beside her, taking her slender hand in one of hers. "You do know her, Mikaela. You just don't recognize her."
Setting her coffee on the table Marcella leaned closer to her sister, a small smirk tugging onto her lips, eyes sparkling with mischief behind reflective lenses perched over her Bambi like orbs.
"Come now Mickey." Marcella muttered, leaning forward slightly, peering over the top of sunglasses.
Crinkling her brow Mikaela narrowed her eyes as the breathtaking woman, the sun reflecting off her snowy locks and milky skin, giving her an eerie glow, multiple scars puckering away from the thick lines inked into the pale flesh in a pattern familiar to Mikaela.
Reaching a calloused hand to remove the lenses covering her icy orbs Marcella watched recognition flash across Mikaela's face, tears filling her azure orbs instantly.
"Marcy." Mikaela whispered, tossing herself at her sister, uncaring at the stares of passersby, clutching tightly to Marcella as if she would drift into the crowd, never to be seen again.
Pulling away Mikaela placed her hands on either side of Marcella's face, drinking in her stunning face, a small laugh escaping her as she finally pulled away, wiping at the tears staining her beautiful face.
"It's been so long." Mikaela sniffled, leaning back into her chair, watching Marcella closely as she slid her aviators back onto her face, a small nod of agreement the only response received. "This is Jenna."
"We've met." Marcella replied with a barley there smile, eyes flashing to the young woman's grinning face. "And she was gracious enough to help me with surprising you."
With a laugh Mikaela wiped under her eyes, nodding in thanks at Jenna whom immediately dove into a conversation with the brunette.
"It's been so long." Mikaela repeated, turning her gaze on her sister after answering Jenna. "What, 7 Years?"
"Yes." Marcy answered simply with a shrug, swirling her drink as Mikaela gazed expectantly at her.
"Well what have you been doing?" Mikaela urged, rolling her eyes at the way her older sister stared blankly at her.
"That's Classified." Marcy answered bluntly.
"Classified? Come on, you can tell me something." Mikaela laughed slightly, hoping to God that she was right.
"Why yes I can." Marcella smirked, eyes lighting up at her train of thought. "I've been doing important, Classified, things for the United States Military."
"Oh boo." Mikaela muttered, turning her attention back to Jenna, leaving Marcella to observe their surroundings with boredom just as she had been during the conversation.
Cocking a brow Marcella watched with mild fascination as a young teen peddle hastily, racing towards them, pink streamers trailing behind the handlebars of the too small bicycle, his eyes fixed on something behind him, completely oblivious to the jutting destabilization of the pavement.
With a crash the bike flipped, leaving the teen wallowing in pain on the sidewalk.
"Sam?" Mikaela questioned him, cocking a brow as he slowly lifted himself off the ground.
"That was awesome." Jenna muttered, hiding a smirk behind her cup.
"Yeah. Felt awesome." Sam replied stiffly, pulling the bike back under him, pedaling away without another word.
"That boy is so strange." Jenna muttered to Mikaela, unaware of her intent.
"Come on." Mikaela ordered, turning her gaze on Marcella, rushing towards her moped, jamming her helmet on in an attempt to keep Sam in her sights.
"Go." Marcella ordered, taking off in a light jog after Sam, slowly gaining speed as he turned a corner, heading for the abandoned undercarriage of the freeways.
Staggering to a halt as she reached the entrance to the desolate junkyard Marcella gaped, thoroughly surprised at the sight greeting her. A massive beast sat crouched over Sam, roaring to be answered.
"Are you username Ladysman217!?"
"I don't know what your talking about!" Sam shrieked in reply, oblivious to the military woman standing just feet away.
"Are you username Ladysman217!" The beast roared again, slamming his fist against the car next the teens leg, the tire exploding with a hiss, leaning his face closer to the shaking teen.
"Yeah."
"Where is the Ebay Item 21153. Where are the Glasses!?" Slamming his other fist down on the other side the tire imploded.
With a scream Sam twisted, scuttling up the windshield onto the roof of the car, just clearing the trunk as the monster flipped it out of the way.
"No! Get back!" Sam yelled rushing towards Marcella, waving frantically at someone over her shoulder. "Go back!"
Twisting Marcella watched her sister drive unaware into the warpath of the raging machine, watching as Sam tackled her off the moped, earning a slew of curses from Mikaela.
"God! What is your problem Sam?" Mikaela snapped.
"Okay, there is a monster right there it just attacked me!" Sam screeched, crawling from the approaching beast. "Here he comes! You have to run! You have to run!"
Yanking the sleek smith and Wesson from its place in the back of her jeans Marcella fired at the metal behemoth, emptying her clip as he turned to face her, rumbling snarls escaping him as he barreled towards the woman.
Slamming another clip into place Marcella dodged the hit, sprinting from the beasts grasp as rubble rained down on her, twisting as she ran to empty the pistol yet again, receiving a thundering yell as one pinged of the metal of his shoulder, ricocheting into a wire within his arm, a thick blue substance oozing to the surface instantly, his attention drawn to the wound, fiddling with it for a mere second before the flow stopped, his body leaning slightly as he began moving towards Marcella, face twisted into a violent snarl.
Screeching tires sounded loudly on the pavement, a rusted yellow Camaro speeding into the legs of the already off balance beast, throwing it into a pillar of concrete, rubble raining from above, bouncing off the behemoth harmlessly.
"Sam what is that thing!" Mikaela cried in shock, scrambling backwards.
"You have to get in the car!" Sam ordered Mikaela, scrambling to reach the passenger door, urging her closer as it popped open. "You gotta get in the car. Trust me."
Stumbling to its feet the behemoth roared at the Camaro as it revved its engine, ready to speed away, hoping the two humans would enter his form in time. Slipping into the passenger seat Mikaela twisted, a small sob echoing from her parted lips at the distance between her sister and the rusted car.
"Marcy!" Mikaela shrieked from inside the Camaro, reaching towards her sister in vain attempts to help her reach the car faster.
With a rev of its engine the Camaro sped towards the exit, ignoring the way the femme in his passenger seat twisted violently to watch out the back window, the fate of her sister now in the hands of a monster.
"Mine!" Roared the beast, metal hand clamping around Marcella as she made for the street beyond, tossing her carelessly towards his chest as he transformed, lean body slamming into the passenger seat with a grunt, his form speeding after the Camaro.
"Holy fuck!" Marcella cried, a colorful string of curses flying from her mouth, her native tongue unintelligible to the beast. "What do you want?!"
"Silence!" Roared the cop car, attempting to focus on the fishtailing Camaro, urging his form forward in an attempt to thwart the getaway.
Stunned by the fact that a car had just yelled at her Marcella stared blankly at the steering wheel, chest heaving, native tongue whispering past her parted lips.
"You will learn to listen to what is ordered of you, femme." Snarled the car, silence settling in the cab. "You are my leverage; I will not kill you, but do not tempt me, you are still of value broken."
