Chapter 1: A new Slayer is called
"It was so weird!" said 15 year old Serena St. James to her best friends Ruby Williams and Josh Daniels as they stood in the ugly green hallway of their high school. "Huh?" said a startled Ruby as she awoke from her trance of staring at Josh who she'd had a crush on since they were five. "My dream, Observant Girl. I was telling you guys about my dream." "So you saw some blonde chick get her neck snapped in two by a bald guy with fangs. Sounds like someone's been makin' with the morbid thoughts" teased Josh, who had been listening intently at the current object of his affection., or should we say "obsession". "Actually, I've been having a lot of fairly freaksome dreams this past-"
But Serena didn't get a chance to finish her sentence because at that moment Harrison Moore, the school idiot, bully, (and did I mention?) idiot, came stomping down the hallway towards Serena's little sister Olivia, who was engrossed in a science fiction novel. "Hey four eyes! Reading again, I see. Don't wanna fill that head with more knowledge or it might get even bigger!" bellowed Harrison as all his idiot cronies laughed. At that moment, after seeing her baby sister picked on, Serena developed an overwhelming feeling of rage and power. "Hey, at least she knows how to read, Slick!" shouted Serena as she sauntered over to Harrison and delivered a whopping blow across the guy's face, which sent him flying across the hall where he crashed through the trophy case.
The large group that had been watching the scene before them erupted in cheers. No one had ever stood up to Harrison before and the fact that a petite girl of 107 pounds had sent the 230 pounder flying across the room was a real crowd pleaser. "That was amazing Rena!" guffawed Olivia. "Th- thanks" stuttered Serena as she stared down at her shaking hands. "Yeah, didn't know you had it in ya!" said Ruby. "Neither did I."
Down the hall the school librarian Miss Rivers stared after the brunette and her friends a moment then ran back to her office. "She's the one, Ouentin, I'm sure of it!" said Miss Rivers who was on the phone with the head of the Watcher's Council in England. "Then I guess it's time to test her abilities if we're to train this girl as the Slayer. You must notify her immediately, Jaclyn." *******************************************************

"Here we go again" sighed Mr. Travers as he hung up the phone. "It's time."
