Chapter Two:
The Jig is Up

"W-What! Why was Lelouch just now dressed up as Zero," Rivalz reeled backwards with no idea what to believe. "And did Princess Euphemia call him BROTHER!?"

Milly laughed to herself, "I suppose I should have known that you were Zero, Lelouch . . . Your stances on Britannia are too similar. Of course that means you don't intend to stop at freeing Japan." Sighing she looked towards her friends, "Calm down Rivalz. The princess called Lelouch her brother because that is exactly what he is. The truth has been spilled it seems so I may as well tell you. He is the eleventh prince to Britannia, Lelouch vi Britannia, and has been in hiding here with his sister, Nunnally vi Britannia, for years."

Rivalz looked at her incredulously, "You knew?!"

Milly smiled a little at that, "Of course I did. Remember who I am. I grew up with those two. I've known them since before they were exiled. My family supported their mother."

Shirley had to sit down when revelation hit her. "L-Lelouch is a prince...but why did he need to be in hiding? Why does he hate Britannia?"

Milly looked at her with a sad smile,"I know the answer to that as well, but it isn't my place to tell everything about his past. Let's just say...he more so hates his father than the country itself." Shirley sighed and tried to figure out the puzzle that is Lelouch. The puzzle she was sure she had solved long before now.

Their resident genius, Nina, couldn't hide her smile and starstruck eyes, "Lelouch could arrange for me to see Euphemia again." She giggled in excitement and clapped her hands. Her friends, though she didn't notice, looked at her awkwardly for a few moments.

Shirley suddenly stiffened, "Wait. If Lelouch is Zero then he killed my father . . ."

They heard it all. Hell they watched it all. Zero was Lelouch. But Lelouch was the long-thought-dead eleventh Prince of Britannia. So Zero, therefore, is Prince Lelouch vi Britannia. How could that be? Why would the Leader of the Black Knights be a prince of Britannia? Why would he be fighting against his homeland? His family? The members of the Black Knight's were in turmoil.

"It makes no sense," Kallen tried to rationalize, "Why would he become Zero to fight against his homeland. In fact why is he attending a school in Japan when not only he is a Britannian Prince, but is in fact supposed to have died years ago? I've been suspicious of Lelouch true, but I was sure after what happened in the shower that one day that he wasn't Zero."

"What the hell?! Zero is a Britannian prince?!" Tamaki screamed, "I always knew we shouldn't have trusted him!"

Cornelia was sitting with her knight, Guilford, drinking herbal tea near the SAZ watching as her little sister, Euphemia, ran up to the podium and started to speak, "Everyone, please listen! I have something important to tell you." Both she and Guilford started paying even closer attention, if possible, to her speech after that.

"Zero has told me to tell you of this," she yelled out happily. Now they were getting a growing sense that whatever is about to be said would change…everything. The Eleven's—rather the Japanese as the creation of the SAZ will bring back the name to them—were getting excited at the idea of Zero, their hero, having Princess Euphemia tell of them something of great importance. "My dear half brother, Lelouch vi Britannia, who is thought to be dead, is alive!"

Both Cornelia and Guilford, who were taking a drink of their tea at the time, immediately regretted doing so. Cornelia, out of surprise, began to choke briefly on air and tea. Tea spilling down her front as she beat her chest to get it all out of her system. Guilford just did a spit take, though he was able to not spray his princess with the tea, and they looked wide-eyed at each other in shock. "That can't be," Cornelia coughed out as she recovered.

They turned their attention make to the screen just in time to see Zero tackle Euphemia to the ground, but before Cornelia could much more than contort her face in fury her sister hugged Zero. Euphie then said something that took all the wind out of Cornelia.

"Hello brother. I love you." They watched as Zero tried to vehemently deny it, at the same time calling her Euphie before correcting himself. It was too late as Cornelia noticed and narrowed her eyes. Euphemia was proven quite correct when she successfully to pulled the man's mask off and Zero was forced to turn around by her sister and the world getting a view at the mysterious man's face. Cornelia and Dalton both looked at each other briefly before hurriedly going towards their Knightmare's to get down to the SAZ Arena immediately.

The Emperor, out of mild curiosity, had been watching his daughter Euphemia make her speech. Unlike most when Zero was unmasked the Emperor could only smirk. His smirk widened and he started to laugh. "Lelouch you errant son of mine. You and your sister will come back to me. Willingly or not. Even with your Geass you will never be able defeat me. Or bring down the might of the Holy Britannian Empire."

Author's Note 2: I am about to go to work, but I'll finish this when I get back. I'll write the third and final chapter when I return. Though these chapters will be updated around the same time frame as when chapter 3 is uploaded. So...there will be no wait for I suppose. Or not much of a one anyway on the off-chance you read these before the final chapter is up.
