Chapter 2: Confusion

Gowther wasn't sure what to think when King came back to the Boar Hat with the helmet hanging around his neck like a backwards necklace. Why put on an item as a memorial for someone who tried to kill you in battle? It made no sense really. Yet, King wore it all the time! It was a regular sight at the Boar Hat now.

He just didn't understand.

Why? Why honor someone who tried to harm you? Was it because he knew this, "Helbram" in the past? Isn't that the equivalent to betrayal?

It must fall under the category of "emotion". Something Gowther was still trying to understand. Emotions were quite illogical, yet so fascinating. . . Was that it? Was that why Gowther could not understand?

However, the others seemed confused too. Giving an odd glance at the orange-haired boy whenever he had his back turned. Did they not understand as well? Gowther looked at the fairy once again. Why?

Ultimately, Gowther was confused.
