I don't not own the legend of Zelda.

I am back!

Phew this was a pain -_-". Although I think I kind of rushed the ending...I hope you guys like this one.

Not going to lie though Life is kicking my butt. And finding the time to work on them isn't getting easier.

But I digress; I am enjoying your comments and reviews way too much to stop anytime soon. Although I really should look into getting a beta; My last beta has to work an 80 hour job, and has school.

If there are any takers give me PM and we'll talk ok?

Oh I have a new idea coming out, and it's a big one. I won't saying anything, but just look out for a story called 'Rude'.

Happy reading!

UPDATED: 10/24/14

Hey! Sorry that this isn't much of an update but I needed to get this message out.

First: Every story I have up is being worked on: Height Problem, Damn the Consequences, and My Master and Mine Alone. However my real life is taking a nose dive with a backwards spiral then jumping backwards into a swan dive into a sea of being very busy.

So it will take a while to get the new chapters out. I say this though: Master will be finished before Damn the Consequences. After the next chapter there will only be two chapters left of Master. The next chapter of Damn the consequences will be three and a half chapters combined; with an extra paragraph or two. And after that there will only be about two to three chapters left. After the next chapter of Height Problem there will also be only two to three chapters left as well.

Also these three stories are not the only ones I am working on. I honestly think that my imagination is a curse form some god, and he and/or she is currently enjoying my endless headaches. I have over sixteen stories currently in the works and more on the way. It's hard to focus on my main ones with these other ones, however NONE of these stories will be posted until Damn the Consequences, Master and height Problem are finished.

I am sorry for all those who are waiting for the next chapter of these stories but they will be done.

Please bear with me for a few more months.

Thank you for your continued support,

Hei

Damn the consequences

Nayru is the goddess of wisdom. War, love, house making, math, marriage, love making, even the mundane topic of how much grass grows every second, this goddess has knowledge and advice for all. One thing she is most proud of is her strategies for any situation. She is the one came up with the idea of each generation of heroes to protect the world. But not once in all her life has she ever been wrong, or have her plans fail.

But it seems even the gods could stand corrected….

She looked in the water blow, watching the scene with wide eyes. Her sisters stood behind her nervous of what to say.

"….Impossible…." The words seemed foreign to her lips; which was strange since she created every word known to man.

"He shouldn't have…"

But he did.

"He couldn't have…"

But he has.

"He wouldn't really…"

Oh but he is.

The sisters looked at each other, playing rock paper scissors with their eyes, deciding who would be the bravest to go and speak to their broken sister. That obviously being Farore, who was starting to hate being the embodiment of human will.

"Um Nayru?"

"HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE!?" She shouted at the top of her lungs, causing her sisters to jump back in utter shock, never seeing their calm gentle sister in such rage.

Anger written on her face as she ranted on, "He denied her! Her grace Hylia! The one who brought him into this world! The one who's his destined for him!" She roared into the bowl, clenching its sides as if he could hear her as he rode on his horse.

"He dined her!" She repeated again this time to the sky. "For some, some," She couldn't think of a word that would suit that thing!

Thieving bitch was too nice, opened legged harlot seemed to only complement her. "Creature!" Yes creature! Creature fitted that thing!

"Some creature of the dark realm!" She could understand his childhood friend; she could understand that fishing woman, heck she could even forgive him for falling for that bug girl. But a TWILI!?

"How is this even possible!?"

This would be a time where Din would make a humorous comment on the relationship between men and women but she kept her mouth shut as she felt the anger coming off her sister in droves. Farore on the other hand knew very well as to why this had happened.

Nayru looked savage, gritting her teeth in pure outrage. This mistake had to be corrected, if the hero is to continue on this path, all that she and her sisters have worked for will be for nothing, the world would be thrown into darkness. But she has to calm herself first, she is a goddesses, a holy being not some emotional woman.

"We must remedy this situation."

She stood firm, stepping away from the viewing water and walked to her room her plan already in motion.

"Do not disturb me sisters." She didn't look back as she shut herself form her sisters in her room.

Din and her sister stood shocked at Naryu's display of fury, never seeing her show such emotion since the day they were created.

"That…doesn't bode well dose it?" Din asked Farore with a wary eye.

Farore however looked deep in thought, her own mind racing. She stared off in the space that Nayru used to be, her visage blank and calculating; a look Din knew all too well. The last time Farore had that look the entire world was flooded.

Farore tired her best not to show her worry. She knows Nayru too well to think that she'll just simply 'mediate' on this. Her chosen hero may be endanger, although she will never kill him, there are other fates worse than death; one of them is watching your love be taken by another.

"Hey Farore." Din grabbed her sisters attention, speaking sternly but full of concern.

"Ah y-yeah, but what can we do?" Finally coming back to form her head, Farore answered her sister.

"We can't interfere with the mortal realm; Nayru knows that more than anyone."

"Well we can't interfere directly," Din noted. "The best we can do is guide and warn-Hey! Where are you going?"

Din yelled after her sister as she walked off, her mind a whirlwind. Yet that storm focused on one young man.

'I can help him. I-I can be there for him and-'

"Hey Farore!"

His thoughts and dreams were broken as her sister's grip woke her.

"D-Din?"

"Farore…" She stressed, urged and begged with her eyes to her sister. "Whatever you about to do-"

Farore, although the embodiment of human will, is a lot more swift minded then her sister's give her credit for. "Oh please, what to think I am going to do? Ask him to marry me or something?"

Oh great creator how she wanted her love's answer to that question to be yes…

She gently took her sister hand in hers, "Don't worry sis I am just going to make sure Nayru doesn't kill him or send his soul into a dark dimension or something."

Din looked at her sister, unable to hide her concern and fear. She could be breaking the very laws she and her sister's had created.

"Farore…"

"Don't worry sister." She let her dear sister's hand go, smiling so beautifully that Din almost believed her. Almost….

"I'll be fine. I am just going for a little walk." Farore walked to her room giving her sister famed childlike smile.

Din watched as her sister disappeared in a swirl of green wind, her face stoned with worry.

Link looked back at the caved in exit of the tunnel he and Epona just barely escaped form. The large boulders that would have crushed them suddenly fell as they rode through the cave, something Link didn't expect, but he had a feeling something like this would happen. Ever since he regained the master sword he felt someone's eyes and ears on him constantly.

After what felt like days Link had finally made it to the scared grove. He had to navigate the forest without the help of the mysterious skull kid, not only that but the entrance was block like the first time he had entered the grove as a wolf. In hindsight that should have been the first clue that something wasn't right, but Link knew how dangerous this journey of his was going to be. If he was going to survive to see Midna again he was going to need the strongest weapon he could think of.

The grove hasn't changed much since he's been here. It was still just as grassy and beautiful as before. The greenery covered the dying stone walls and starched out the floor trying to grasp at the yellow triforce symbol in the center with its lacy green fingers. The forest over took the building that once stood here, the canopy of trees hanging over the broken walls, holy light form the havens blasted through the leaves of the trees of the sounding forest. The guardians stood at door that leads to the fabled sword, the blade of evil's bane.

Whenever Link comes to this grove he feels a sense of power, a sense of ease the made him feel nearly invincible. But now it just made him feel uncertain, it could be the confrontation he had with Zelda two days ago that is still fresh in his thoughts, but it was something more…god like.

Shaking off the feeling, Link walked up to the door that held the world's most powerful weapon.

Only to be stopped by two large crossing staffs.

"You are not allowed to enter this sacred ground."

The stone guardian on his right spoke to Link in that same mystical monotone voice as before.

Link looked at him questionably, this was the first time he had been denied entrance to the Master sword.

He asked a simple question, "Why?"

"You are not recognized as the chosen hero." Spoke the guardian on his right.

"You are not allowed to enter this realm." Responded the other to his left.

Link looked between the two stone guards with curious gaze wondering what they meant. But he pushed that question behind him and decided to push forward.

"Sorry but I need the master sword for an urgent mission." Although telling someone how you feel may not be so important to theses stone soldiers.

"If you proceed any farther we will stop you." Said the stone giant on his left.

"By violent means if necessary." Finished his brother on the right.

The silence in the forest lasted for a while, not even the birds chirped, or the wind move as Link looked between the two locks on the door.

He took one step forward, then quickly back flipped out of the way as an axe blade swung at him. The blade touched to tip of his nose and cut a stand of hair before he land and foot away in safety. If only for a second.

He looked up to see another axe rocket down to his head. He rolled the left, the guardians axe crushing the spot Link once was.

Finally gathering his bearings Link stood with his fangs and claws, sword and shield, out to defend himself against the large soldiers of the goddesses.

He rushed the guardian on the right, who responded with a swing of his axe to take Link's head. Seeing the attack, Link swiftly ducked under it and pushed through the guard's defense. He brought the Ordon sword back to strike them, yet jumped at the last minute to avoid a swift low sweep form the guardian on his right.

The other guardian took Link moment in the air to lung at him. Seeing the end of the axe rush to him, Link twisted his body as the axe grazed the fabric of his tunic above him. He landed on the ground once again. But the guardians' assault was not done. They both raised their axes high intending to finish the fight in one blow. They slammed their weapons down creating a dust storm where the former chosen hero once stood.

Yet out of the smoke Link flew out his blade drawn as he dashed up the pole of the right guardian, catching it off guard. He raced up his arm, the Ordon blade aiming for it head, it's weak point.

He swung, and the blade shattered. The shards of steel scattered in the air, shock paralyzed Link face. Until it turned to pain as he back handed by a large stone fist.

His body soared through the air, only to slam into the far wall to a stop. The pain of being hit by a stone giant faded as he looked at his sword.

The Ordon sword. Broken, destroyed beyond repaired. The sword he never parted with, the weapon that's been with him since the beginning of his quest.

Now it's gone shattered to the hilt; just a few inches of broken steal left.

"We cannot be hurt with mortal weapons." Said the guardian on his left.

"Leave now fallen hero." Finished his brother on the right.

'Fallen Hero' huh? That name dose suit him at the moment.

But….

He stood and, with great regret he tossed what was left of the Ordon sword away. He looked up into the eyes of stone soldiers.

"Sorry, but you're going to have to kill me." He spoke with the conviction of a dead man as he stared down the stone guard, weaponless.

The guards responded in kind, with their axes slamming in the ground. Link dodged them by ducking between their legs. He turned to face the one on the right, rushing him as he ducked under its swing, then jumping up to avoid the other stone giant on the left. He landed on the arm of the left, taking a bomb for his back pocket lighting it on his arm. He ran up its arm ready to blast the stone soldier's head off.

His brother however, took his own axe and took a swipe at Link who jumped and threw the bomb before the large stone blade could connect. Smoke form the blast covered the two giants as Link landed a few feet away in safety. The smoke cleared showing a shocking site. One of the giant's axes cleaved through the other's head.

Much to Link's surprise, the nearly sliced in half giant turned into gray dust, leaving a large pill where he once stood.

'So weapons made by the goddesses can kill them…' Link commented that thought to memory, rushing the stone guard while he was unawares.

He was aware however and slashed his axe down, but link was swift and jump to his left avoid the weapon as it shook the earth. Without losing momentum, Link flanked the guard taking out his bow and arrow, noting it for one single shoot. The stone solder believed the Hero a fool if such a weapon could even dent him. He planned on ending the pointless fight with his fist, slamming it down destroying the triforce symbol where Link stood before he jumped to the side, just where he needed the boy to be.

With greater force than before, the ally of the goddess let his axe rupture the ground. Stone and boulders flew in the air, nothing would have survived that.

But the running green figure on his arm said otherwise. Link ran up the rock arm and pointed the arrow at his head. That's when the stone giant saw the arrow head was lit with a bomb. With a piece of his brother's axe tied at the end. Time slowed, the fuse getting closer to the core, the blast would engulf them both, surly he wouldn't...

Link smiled like a wolf.

The explosion could have been heard all the way to Ordon village. It caused a small quake, the birds leaving the dangerous blast, which Link flew out of, the smoke griping him with ghostly hands. Bursting out of the smoke Link skied to a stop, silently patting him on the back. He had used the distortion of the axe to hide his hands as he outfitted his bow to take of the head of the stone guard. He was smart enough to jump back and shoot the arrow just before it blew to give him some cover form the blast. His ears rung, his body was burning, and his pretty sure he melted part of his chain mail, but he was alive.

But the giant stone fist that flew out of the smoke said otherwise.

Reacting quickly, Link brought his shield to block the fist just into time for it to ram into him, and send him through a weaken section of the wall to were the master sword laid.

Even flat on his face Link could feel it.

The overwhelming power that comes off the blade next to him as it stood in its pedestal in all its glory. The blade was clean as if it never slew hundreds and hundreds of monsters, the violet blue hilt would look sinister to most but deadly to devils and demons.

There was a loud crashing sound. Rock slamming against rock. The guardian was coming to clean up. With some effort Link stood and faced the master sword, griping it with two hands, feeling the power torching through him.

'With this I can see Midna again….'

Another loud boom of the giant's foot getting closer.

"Time to end this."

Link pulled.

And the blade stayed.

"W-Wha?"

He pulled again. But the sword didn't move. Rooted in its pedestal.

He pulled again, and again, and again.

The results the same.

How could this- he still has the mark on his hand, but wait it wasn't glowing like last time was it?

"It is as we said before, fallen Hero."

The guardian, ducking his head under the entrance of the shine; half of it gone thanks to Link improved arrow head, spoke in that same mechanical term.

"You are no longer recognized as the chosen Hero."

He walked up to the defeated hero, weapons less and out of tricks.

Link slumped to his knees.

His only thump card, the only way he even stood a chance in ever seeing her again. Is now nothing more than a museum toy to him. The guardian stood not even five feet away from him.

'No I…'

Not now.

"Damnit please!" He begged.

He will not stop now.

"Just lend me your strength once more!"

He always felt something within the blade. Maybe he could reach out to it or….

His stone feet are four feet away now.

"Please!"

He's so close, he can't let them win.

Three feet…

"I am not asking the goddess, I am asking as you, Blade of Evil's Bane, not as the hero, but a desperate man in need of your help! A friend asking for your aid once more!"

He yelled at the top of his lungs, the wolfos in the mountains howling with him.

"HELP ME!"

The guardian reached his hand for the sad hero, only to lose it by a clean cut. He took a step back, if he was a sentient being he would have shown pure surprise on his face.

The hand fell to the ground, becoming dust.

And Link stood. Master sword outstretched, finishing its clean cut.

Link smile fondly at his old friend, "Thanks."

He turned his icy blues to the first thing to taste the Master sword's steel.

The blade's sheath appeared in Link right hand in a golden light. Placing the blade and cover in front of him he sheath it. Then he held it to his side while taking a step back in a stance on his right leg, his hand barely hovering over the hilt of his sword he breathed in.

"Hidden technique number five…."

He breathed out….

The guardian however was only a little thrown off as he engaged Link this time swinging his axe, ending this farce.

He breathed in…

"Mortal…."

The axe a hairs-

"DRAW!"

It wasn't even a flash of movement; lighting was slower compared to the speed Link had moved. One moment he air still, the next he was on the other end of the felid, blade out, behind the stone giant who seemed to suddenly stop functioning, standing still with his axe out starch to were Link once stood.

He breathed in…

Twirling his blade he returned it to its home then he breathed out.

The giant crumbled into dust like his brother as Link walked out the twisting woods, one step closer to his goal.

And ever since then, Link has been having many cases of 'bad luck'. The cannon to the desert was broken beyond repair, it stormed heavily for the his whole ride form Ordon woods to Lanayru province, and just when he thought he had found some luck finding this cave that lead to the desert, there was a massive cave in that him and Epona barely escaped form. Even on his pervious journey there was not this much bad luck in his life.

'Bad luck? More like angry gods.' He thought with a sigh.

He had some feeling things like this would happen; going against celestial beings usually ends with someone dying by 'accident'.

But, as he stared out into the golden sea of sand, barren and life less besides the rocks that surrounded him and Epona, the sun beating down on him harsher than his previous visit. He couldn't stop now.

He stepped down off Epona, his boots churching the sand beneath him. This would Epona's first time in the desert and with the sun beaming its wrath down more than usual, Link lighten her load discarding his camp supplies.

'Sleeping on the sand shouldn't be so bad.' He thought as he tossed the tent, firewood, and spark rocks into the sand leaving on his arrow quiver, and bomb bags.

Epona whinnied with relief glad to have off the extra weight, but she had a feeling this wasn't going to be an easy ride.

Taking her reins Link, lead her to the heart of the unforgivable land, knowing his answers are out there.

It has only been three months since Link has been in the desert. Three months of summer has past and now it was deep in the winter, so even the heat of the harsh desert would diminish a little. Yet it only seemed to be even more brutal.

The sun felt as if it was on Link and Epona's already heavy backs. He had already removed nearly all his equipment off Epona to ease her burdens; she didn't even have her saddle. Link took to carrying his quiver, bomb bags and even took off his chain mail. But nothing could stop the heat nor the sun form scorching the very ground Link was walking on.

The god's wrath was getting stronger by the second. Link swiped the ocean of sweat form his forehead with his left hand. He wasn't even past Arbiter's Grounds him and Epona felt completely drained. The hazy air around them made their destination look imposable to reach; an infinite stretch of sand that would continue on until the sun baked them both into crisp blacked corpse.

But there was something else in the sand that caught Link's dreary eyes. It was a rock formation, a plateau really. A plateau that Link had recognized as the entry way to the cave of ordeals, the cave he came to many times in his quest to test his own skills. He remembered nearly dying many times in that cave, and also how cool and cold it was inside.

'Ok a little rest would be nice.' His throat too dry to voice thoughts to his traveling companion but the look in his eyes and weary smile helped her understand it enough.

With a very weak nod Link lead Epona to the plateau.

Getting Epona up the steps was surprisingly easy with her being a working horse, although the glare she sent at Link for using his claw shot to make the climb easier for him said otherwise. However Link realized his other major problem would be getting her to the spring with the large cliff in the way. Yet to his surprise as he made his way down the steps in the cool cave dark there was no cliff or monsters lurking about. The spring where the great fairy resided was right there, there was no other exit other than the one they came through. The walls traveled farther up as well as they used to stop with a dangerous ceiling of hanging stalagmites and flaming slugs or bats yet there was no ceiling; like the desert it was infinite.

Link had come here at least four times in his quest. The first was general curiosity, he was wondering just what this place was. The next was when he was searching for the owl statues thinking the great fairy may know something about it. After that it was to test his strength to see if he was ready to fight Zant. And the last time was for Gannon. And each and every time he came nothing had changed in the rooms. Only the power of the monsters he fought grew stronger and changed every visit and completion of the Ordeals sent by the great fairy.

Was it because of Ganondorf death that the monsters had disappear form the cave or was it because there were no more challenges for him conquer? And where was the great fairy herself? She usually greets him by now.

Normally Link wouldn't kiss a gift horse in the mouth; especially with the threat of the gods hanging over his neck. But the aching in his body, the drooping of his eyes and the weary look of Epona told him no to trust his better judgment for once and just indulge in this little pleasure for a while.

He led his longtime friend to the spring to let her drink, as he bent down to scoop up some of the cool rejuvenating spring water for himself.

"Ahhhh….." he sigh in relief of gaining his voice back for the dry air of the sands; Epona neigh happily herself, glad to finally get some rest.

Leaning against the back wall Link couldn't help but feel utterly refreshed. His friend joined him, kneeling down next to looking very sleepy. And who could blame her, they've been traveling without much rest since he left Ordon; he was surprised he could lasted this long.

"Yeah let's get some shut eye girl." He responded with a yawn, slowly drifting into his dreams with a small smile.

'Just a few minutes…' Was his last thought.

Zelda sat in her study, her thoughts muddled by confusion.

The books on the oak shelves offered no answers. Her notes on the desk she sat at, clutching her head offed no help. The clear sky out her window mocked her cloudy gray one. The room, stone walls and wooden floors offered her no comfort.

Those words. Those dreaded cruel words.

How could she have said them? Did she really mean them?

No. There's no way she could have meant that. She cares too much about Midna she's more than just some other princess she met. She's a sister who understands the painstaking role they play in this world, someone she could call on when she starts to question her own motives and person who risked her life to save not one but two realms. Something as simple as Link, a young man she believe she sees as nothing more than a brother, falling in love with her shouldn't cause her such distress.

'Link….' She thought, mournfully and full of regret for once not thinking about the things he would do to her in bed.

The look his face shocked her in more ways than one. He was, since the words escaped her at the moment, thoroughly pissed. It was the same look he gave that monster Gannon.

"Dose he hate me that much?"

Although she doubted he could hate her so quickly; he fell for Midna even with the way she treated him. Yet that look still pieced her just as pain fully, even if she didn't love in that way.

…She didn't….. Did she?

Th-those thoughts, those feelings, are they truly her own? At times they feel like it, but there are times where they feel like someone else. But who's and why would she be feeling this?

"I've only known him for a few months and that was through blurry vision of Midna's perspective."

Thoughts of love did cross her mind once or twice but they were never this powerful, nor this big. It's nothing more than a little crush and yet she felt every eager to snatch him away from any woman that dared look at him. There has to be something more to these feelings than just pure jealously.

"You are quite right princess of destiny."

In a flash of light and movement Zelda shot out of her chair and summoned her light arrow, aiming it at the head of her intruder.

With cold eyes the princess demanded, "Who are you!?"

The woman looked to be in her early twenties her long blue hair flowed gracefully down her back. She wore the clothes of a commoner, a simple tan blouse, but there was something odd about her. The air seem to shake in her princess, Zelda herself faltered a little under this woman's intense deep blue gaze, but she didn't let it show. She merely kept the light arrow pointed directly at the intruders head.

She pulled her string farther, "I won't ask again…"

"Your worry over the chosen hero is correct. He is on a dark path."

Zelda didn't lower her bow, but her tension did. "…Are you saying Link's in danger?"

The strange woman nodded, "Yes. If he is able to make contact with the dark princess the world will be lost."

Zelda's gazes harden, 'How could Link meeting Midna destroy the world? How could he even-'

"The hero is not himself." The strange woman spoke, stopping Zelda's thoughts. "The dark princess cast a spell over the hero, causing his mind to be muddled and confused. If he finds the secret portal in to the darkness both worlds will be forever lost."

"How did-"

"You must not doubt yourself princess. The dark race has many powers that we do not understand." She gave Zelda a rather sympatric look, to witch Zelda replied with cold one.

"….Who are you?" There is something about this woman that put the princess on edge. It wasn't just the way she snuck up on her in her own private study. It was this aura around her that she couldn't pin point

The strange beauty smiled kindly at her question, "I am merely an ally."

"…" Zelda lowered her bow, but her calculating stare did not falter.

"Ok," in a flash of light her bow disappeared, "Where do I have to go to stop Link?"

"You must go east beyond the dessert and into a forest of old."

Zelda bow lightly to give her thanks, "Thank you I will leave at once."

The blue haired woman bowed too with just as much respect, "The world rest in your hands princess."

Just as strange and quickly as she appeared in her study, the mysterious woman disappeared deeper into the halls.

Zelda stood in her study for a few minutes. Silent, not even her thoughts accompanied her as she stood in her study. She waited. She waited for those presences to leave.

Suddenly, with overwhelming conviction, Zelda turned on her heel and stormed out of study her mind hazy and active.

'That woman was not normal.' She raced down her stairs; everything about this whole thing didn't sit well with the princess.

It wasn't how she had literally appeared in her own private study out of nowhere; that alone had sent off large alarm bells in Zelda's head. No it was how she seemed to now every thought, every question that Zelda had in her head was answered before she could even ask. Zelda is master in the magical arts but her knowledge of magical skills and technique are said to be only rivaled by the goddess Nayru herself, but she has yet to hear of a skill that allows someone to read someone else's thoughts.

When she noticed this she thought it best not to think and just go along with whatever this person was talking about.

'And why do I feel this odd connection to her….Like I knew her for a long time.' She couldn't place her finger on it but she felt she could trust this woman with her life. As if she was a long time friend she nearly forgot about, but that's what worried Zelda.

"Um your highness?" He handmaid, Kira, hesitantly spoke to her as she spotted her distort queen rush down the steps form her study.

There were so many uncertainness in this whole situation; the mysterious woman, how she knows where Link is, who Midna is, and how this all connects. And what of Link? Did he really find another way into the Twilight Realm? She has no answer to any of these questions, but one:

Should she trust this woman?

No. She won't trust this woman no matter who she is, she knew too much to be trusted.

"Uh your high-"Her handmaid approached her with extreme worry as she fallowed Zelda to the stables.

"I'll be going out for a while Kira please inform that council of this."

"Eh!?B-But your highness- W-wait!" the distressed handmaid tried could fallow and watch as the princess marched off to the stables.

"Who or whatever that woman is she may be right about one thing."

Zelda sparred her white stallion out of the stables ignoring the cries of her handmaid as she raced through her own castle town. Her mind reeling with the conversation she had with the mysterious woman.

"Link is in danger."

"Please you must wake up Link."

The fallen hero's eyes shot open, all weariness leaving him which was odd since he had just closed his eyes for a few moments. Like any harden warrior Link first took in his surroundings. He was still in the cave of ordeals as he recognized the cold tanned ceiling, but he did not recognize the soft pillow he was currently laying on. He stood up to investigate what he was laying on.

"Do not move." Only to have a gentle hand place back down on his pillow.

"My power is the only thing keeping you two awake." Now there is something else he recognized but didn't make sense. He looked up to find the owner of the smooth voice, only to sport a full body blush as he was greeted with a very ample pair of breast that belonged to the great fairy. Normally her silky emerald hair would cover her beautiful chest, but that was only form the front. Lying in her lap and looking up, however, changed the view entirely.

Normally Link's modest nature would kick in and he swiftly removes himself from the alluring woman's presence. But what she said about her power keeping him awake inquired him more.

"Um pardon my asking…." Link couldn't form the right words as he couldn't even look up at her.

"You've noticed it hasn't you." The smooth calming voice silent all of Link thoughts. "The desert heat has become so violent that the very land itself is on fire."

Her tile eyes, sparkling with so much mysterious power looked down at the hero gently, "It is that same power that now hunts my home." Although to her is this more of a prison than a home...

It didn't take long for Link to finger out whose power had made him feel so tired when he walked into the cave.

"The goddesses…" He sighed under his breath, as if muttering a cruse; at this point however it might as well be.

"Whoever enters my home will put under an eternal sleep." The great fairy explained. "You will not die but you will place in a world of dreams for the unforeseeable future."

Link kept silent. There is not much for him to say, he has already found his enemy and their plans. Yet why are they even doing this? That was the only question that plagued him throughout his journey. The goddesses have always been fair and just, yet they been trying to stop him at every turn. With a red face Link looked into the beautiful face of the great fairy ready to ask her the very question that plagues his mind.

"Great fair-mm?"

The gentle delicate finger of the allure fairy landed on Link's lips, which is now a permanent shade of red embarrassment. His heart belongs to Midna; there is no doubt in his mind that there is no other woman that can take it. But he is still a man, a young man who has yet to have any experience with the love and flesh of a woman, so when a beauty like her not only places her finger on his lips, but also leans forward to place her forehead on his with that clam gentle smile that would melt the snow peak mountains how would any young man react. Her forehead felt cool to the touch, yet there was this warm familiar feeling that flowed through him, it calmed him down more than expected.

She closed her eyes as if she was enjoying in the closeness, he wanted to say something but her sweet voice kept his mouth closed.

"Please call me Navi…" She all but whispered her words, as if the mere saying of them brought her bless.

'Navi huh...' Links thought the name was odd but when he thought of his own he dismissed the thought.

"…Navi," Saying the name brought an odd feeling through him. "Why are goddesses trying to stop me?"

She lost her smile, Link thought he had touched a sore topic, but he did not sense any malice form her.

He did touch a sore topic, and topic that expanded through time and space.

'He's so close to me….' She thought. 'I can actually touch him...See him... Feel him...' She looked into those deep dark blue eyes, seeing the difference between the him now and the him one hundred years ago. But they are still there, the reason for her falling in love with him are still there.

That un-breakable kindness, the gentleness that warms the coldest room, the courage to overcome any task or challenge.

'And he's just as lazy too….' She giggled in her was all the same, and he was so close, right back into her arms where he belonged. But...

"The goddesses are unintentionally cruel…." She let her thoughts slip out, confusing Link even more.

She wondered however, if she should tell him the age old secret the goddesses are hiding. When she was forced to this position of Great Fairy, she made no promise expect to help the next hero that would come along, since she held no love for the goddesses themselves. It is there fault her heart aches for a man she'll never have. And he was the same way.

He and the Dark Princess are never meant to be together, rule is for only the princess of light and the hero to fall for each other. Yet here is this man deliberately trying to break that trend with the whole world against him.

She will relive the goddesses' secret yet she will not do it out of spite.

No she will do to help the man she has loved for over a hundred years and will continue to love for a hundred more.

"There is a cycle…" She began, "A cycle that started with the first demon king, Gannon's ancestor."

Link listen intently to her speech as she continued, "Your first ancestor, the first Link, destroyed him with the help of Zelda's ancestor; the reincarnation of Hilya."

'Hylia?' That name stuck a large cord in Link, it was something very important but he couldn't figure out why.

"But not without a curse place on him and his ancestors." She paused, waiting for all of this to sink in. "This curse is un-breakable and will never stop as long as you are alive."

"What is this curse?" Link asked.

Yet he didn't receive an answer as Navi shock her head, "I do not know, only the goddesses know what this curse is. However I do know it binds you, him, and Zelda all together in a sick twist of fate."

"Every one hundred years or so, Gannon will be reborn. And no one will be able to stop him but you're and Zelda's blood ancestor."

Link was no fool, it didn't take him long to figure out the meaning in Navi's words, "So me and Zelda have to…"

Her eyes grew distant, remembering the look on his face when he first saw Zelda; how he quickly forgot the forest where he grew up and the woman who took care of him, how he quickly forgot about her too…

"Yes, you and princesses Zelda must marry and produce a child, so that child's child can destroy the next king of evil."

Link processed this. It is a simple but an effective plan, something worthy of the goddesses Nayru herself. Yet there is small snag in the enormous gears of fate.

"But I don't love Zelda." Link cared for her like a sister, but he would never see her in a lover's light, and how could he? He barely knows anything about her next to her personality. And if even if he did get to know her his heart was already set on Midna. Something about that thought struck Link as odd.

"I don't love her, but-"

"You should." The beautiful fairy finished. "Just like the goddesses wanted."

Something didn't fit with that puzzle, "But why?"

Navi, lifting her delicate hand, didn't respond as she let a few fairies carry five empty bottles to the spring. They pale pink light twinkled in Link's eyes as they floated over the water filling their bottles to the brim.

As they did this Navi continued, "There is something…different form you and the rest of your ancestors." She closed her eyes as if searching for the answer, "Something more….primeval."

'My wolf transformation?' Link knew there was something odd about him transforming into something many humans, and even some twili, feared.

"…It is a power the goddesses did not expect you to have. Such a monster power it is…" The fairies brought back the bottles filled with the fresh spring water. Navi let them float and turn in her hand with her magic.

"A power that is yours and yours alone to wield Link, not the goddesses." She let the bottles float in to Link's hand.

'…Mine own power?' He really didn't believe that since he relied on Midna for his transformation. But he wouldn't lie and say there is something odd about his abilities as a wolf.

"Beyond this desert lies a forest long forgotten by time, the perfect place to hide a secret." She let the bottles glide down to his hands, "These bottles are filled with my magic. They will keep you feeling awake and refreshed."

Link took the bottles then watched as the fairies carry three large jugs of spring water to Epona.

"And I can't forget about your friend either." Navi smiled.

After setting the jugs on her saddle, Epona stood up all wide awake and ready for a long ride. Noticing Epona sprinted whiny, Link decided to test how his own body had faired. He stood form the softness of Navi's thighs and flexed his fingers. He didn't feel any stronger nor did he feel weaker.

Placing the bottles in his belt, he walked over to his Campion who nudged his head playfully. Showing how full of energy she is.

"Sorry for dragging you into this." He stoked her mane apologetically. If he knew how big this whole ordeal was, he would have left her back in Ordon.

Epona however snorted roughly as if to say, "Don't worry about it."

Link smiled, glad to still she her spirits high. He turned to Navi, who had stood showing her heart stopping full figure. Her light green hair flowed over her breast just barely hiding her perfectly pink nipples.

With a burning face Link bowed to her in thanks, "Thank you for your help. I will repay this kindness someday."

A smile. A smile so sweet, so bright, it made Link's heart stop. He wanted to say she walked to him, but that would be horribly wrong. Floated or glide would be close but it still wouldn't do justice at how the exquisite creature known as the great fair, or Navi, came to Link as her toes case small ripples and the water and her hip swayed in a gentle hypnotic way.

Once she was close enough, she raised her hand to his cheek creasing it with motherly warmth. Her eyes, her warm light green eyes showered Link with so much love. So much heart and wanting form him, he felt himself become weaker.

"I only wish for you to fallow your heart to your love one Link."

What could a youthful young man do but nod dumbly in the face of such grace?

Smiling softly, Navi released him, stepping away allowing him and Epona to walk out of her little prison.

The torching sun was still high in the air when Link and Epona had exited the cave, still threatening to burn their bodies. It was thanks to Navi's spring water that they both lasted until the sun started it time of sunset. However after traveling half a day Link had met another road block; and this one wasn't going to be taken down with fairy magic.

A stagnant sandstorm raged in front of Link as he reached the edge of the desert. The storm stretched the full length of the desert horizontally yet didn't expand that far up vertically; it was about as tall as the trees in Ordon. It was an odd sight to be sure, a sandstorm roaring in one singular place, but that's what made Link realize he was on the right track.

"Goddesses magic…" He whispered to himself, gazing at the unmoving sand storm.

He looked left and right of the wall of twisting and shredding dirt. It looked never ending, and no matter how longed he walked all he would met is more of the violent wall.

'But there is something more to this…' With that thought he slowly put his hand through wall, expecting his skin to peel right off his bones. Yet he felt nothing.

He raised an eyebrow at that; it couldn't be an illusion now could it?

Looking at half his arm in the sandy tomb, he noticed the grins of yellow crystals drifting about his gloves with the blazing wind that rushed around his hand.

Tracing his gaze around to think of how to get past this wall Link mumbled to himself, "If it isn't fake then…why…d…."

He voice was lost as he saw something in the distance of the wall of wind and sand. It was a strange blur in the distances, about a mile away if Link wanted to guess. And that blur, to what believed to be in the shape of arm, is what made Link lose his voice so quickly.

'I can't be…' With that thought Link bravely tested the storms water and moved his hand up and down in the magical wall.

And watched as the blur repeated the action.

Swiftly Link retreated his hand as the blur disappeared from his sight. Flexing his hand it was pretty obvious as to what he had just stumbled into.

This wall of sand teleports anyone who enters away from whatever the goddesses are hiding. But was it just the desert that this storm sends you or was in anywhere else in the world?

That question hunted Link, forcing him to stay rooted in the heat of the desert; which was making the mines in Death Mountain look like Zora's river.

He couldn't possibly just jump head long into this not knowing where he'll end up. Sure he could end up back in the desert but what if he transported back in the middle of Hyrule Felds or worse some unknown location.

He can't risk that; not when he is so close to his goal so close to seeing her again.

"A power that is yours and yours alone to wield Link, not the goddesses."

Navi's words echoed through him, weather form him actually remembering what she had said randomly or she spoke with to him with some form of telepathy, Link forced on them.

"My own power?" As He flexed his palm Link started to wonder if there really is some merit in her words. He wanted to believe that, but throughout his journey he had always needed Midna to transform him, or something form the Twilight Realm to affect him. Not once has he called on the beast in him on his own accord.

"But that's because I haven't tried is it?" Clenching his fist in realization, Link decided to test his theory.

With deep inhale and slow exhale of breath, he closed his eyes.

Epona shifted nervously as her comrade released an odd but familiar aura.

There. He sees it. In the deepest part of his mind, hidden his soul, is the beast. The powerful devil like dog thrashed and roared at the golden chains that bind him. His teeth bared and snapped at the chains, but they did not break nor did they even move, they only tighten their harsh hold on him.

Link gazed at the monstrous beast in wonder as he fought back at his prison, no matter how tight they construed him. The beast was so engrossed in trying to escape that he had not noticed Link.

No, that wasn't right. He had noticed Link, just like Link knew he was inside of him ever since he was young. He knew there was something inside of him, something that made him closer to the other animals than most people. The beast had known of his bother, but these infernal chains have always held him back to help his brother unleash his full strength when needed.

Cautiously, Link walked to his chained other half. Reaching out he touched one of the chains so he break his ally free, yet as soon as his finger touch them his entire body erupted in pain. His back was on fire, his chest felt caved in, his hands felt broken beyond repair, yet there was nothing there but the chains.

The beast fought back, howling and roaring twice as hard in response to Link pain. Link looked into the deep blue eyes of the black beast that thrashed about roaring in protest of his bonds. His body shaking like he had just fought death, Link stood and grasped one of the chains, scramming in agony and pain form light blade that lacerated his whole being. Yet he persevered. Pulling and tugging the blasted chains which tighten as Link pulled.

His bother, the blue eyed beast, slammed his maw on the hellish chains as Link pulled. Biting, clawing tearing into the metal, Link and his bother roared as they battled their enemy together.

But the pain was too much, the chains too strong.

'Da-Damnit!' Link cursed as several blades of Armageddon like pain slashed through him.

As he is now Link could never break these chains, but that didn't stop him from trying. 'I am not! Going to! Give up! On seeing! Midna!'

His bother howled with him, desperate to see his mate, his lover, again.

And these foolish chains were not going to stop him!

Link opened his eyes in shock, his body trembling, tremor at what he had just he had just been through. His eyes however were a different story as the feeling to heat enhanced blades slowly craved them. Shaking his head to relive himself of such pain, he slowly reopened them, gasping as he did.

Epona neighed franticly, stomping the sand in surprise. Link felt her distress and raced to calm her, forgetting his current problem.

But try as she might she could not communicate with her friend no matter how much she yells. Yet she didn't understand. His eyes are now that of his wolf form yet how can he not understand her. With a neighing sigh, Epona gave up to speak with her rider.

Finally calming her down, gently combing her mane and whispering the promise of carrots later on, Link addressed his current problem; The fact that the world is now black and white.

Look down at his hands and feet, he did not see any claws or paws so he was still human, but why can he see the world like a wolf.

'Those chains…I could only break one…' He thought solemnly, sadden he could not break the beast out of his prison.

He looked at the storm with his new wolf eyes and spotted the goddesses magic. There were purple swirls of energy dotted randomly about the wall. Naked to the human eye, but not to a magical beast. Taking Epona by the reins again he guided through the maze of wind and sand to their next unknown location.

Silence. Air still quite.

A forest, long forgotten by time and humans was the epitome of this. There are no animals. No singing of the birds. Not even the quite earth worm disrupted this place. This place where the tree are as big as castles, where the greens are only what any farmer could only dream of. A quite ancient forest, that no human or god has ever set foot in.

Until now…

As a light breeze died near a stream, the young maiden appeared. Her eye quickly took in everything as she breathed in the human world air in what was what? One century? Five? She couldn't remember; the years tend to fly by for her kind.

Wanting to know what form she took, she looked down at her hands to see them rather small than her pervious form and a strange green grab. Similar to her dress, but smaller. Curiousier and curiousier, she walked to the stream to get a better look at her face.

At first she was surprised at what looked back at her, yet a small, sad smile appeared. A sad smile of a common comrade, a dear friend she had not forgotten.

"Of course," She whispered softly, her hand glided on the surface of the clear lake, "I would take your form. For we are cut form the same cloth, the same heart are we not?"

It was a rhetorical question that the girl in the pond smiled back at her friend, a happier grin than her host sad one.

The girl of no more than twelve stood and headed to her destination, to finally meat him in the flesh. As she stood she caused a ripple in the water mirror of a young girl with green hair and green eyes.

Link collapsed on his hands and knees, rubbing his eyes as if they were on fire. Finally after what felt like three eternities, link and Epona made it out of the twisting maze of the storm. The circles of magic were not just at the entrance, they expanded inside the already blinding storm. With his eyes barely open Link guided himself and Epona thought the twisting sands to some god forsaken place that not even the dare walk.

Epona bent her head down to comfort him the best she can, worried that he may be pushing himself to hard. After the burning of his eyes had stopped, Link looked at her with blurry eyes. Her brown imaged slowly cleared as her patted her to sooth her worries.

"I am fine girl, thanks." He gave a reassuring pat on her nose. He wasn't shocked that the world was back in color; He had a feeling his new powers wouldn't last too long.

Standing he looked to see where the storm had taken them.

The forest trees where as large as Hyrule castle, some looked nearly as thick in the distance. Navi was not exaggerating when she said that this forest had not been touched by time or people. There was no sign of any sort of human involvement as the vines and over grown bushes showed off its ancient age. But what truly worried Link was the feeling the forest gave off. It wasn't a sense of dread, nor a sense of over whelming power. It was the senses of peace the large dark woods gave off, a peace that not even in Hyrule, his own birth place could feel.

He looked at Epona, wondering if he should lead her into such a place. Even though she's been with him throughout this whole adventure, would it really be alright to bring into a place where he had no idea of what danger that could lie ahead.

Epona answered his question form him with rough bump and an impatient snort.

"Alright, alright." With a tired sigh Link wonder why he could never when an argument with a female, no matter the species. "Let's go."

Taking her reins, Link and Epona started their trek through the dense forest.

As Link walked through the thick woods, he realized why he felt and saw nothing. No birds, no animals, not even a single fly hovered around. It was so quite he could even hear his and Epona's heart beats like large drums.

It was when he heard the churching of leaves that Link's heart beat sounded like a thunder bolt than a drum.

"Who's there?" Hands on the master Link demanded an answer form row of bushes on his left.

Getting no answer he growled, slowly taking the blade out of its sheath, "Come out now or else…"

He let the threat hang in the air like very sharp dagger.

The leaves rustled and twitched as the intruder emerged form them, giving Link a light shock.

She looked no older than ten, maybe twelve, only coming up to about his waist line in height with short green hair framing her face and wearing a green tunic like his own but older he believed. Where his tunic was made out a tougher type of cotton hers looked softer to the touch, and her sleeves were longer stopping at her wrist. Her face is that of a child, yet there was this sense of such maturity that Link beveled she could teach every elder in Hyrule a thing or two. But what really got him were her eyes. Deep yet old bright emerald green eyes, not only did show this profound wisdom, and un-questionable courage, but there was this odd…kindness? No, not even the warmth of a thousand suns could compare to the loving look this young girl, or young woman, gave Link.

She smiled at him so easily, so gently that Link heart, which was already warmed form this girls gaze, felt locked in his throat.

Yet that smiled…why does it look so familiar, so motherly and sweet….

"It's ok Link." Her tiny, soothing voice brought the young warrior out of his thoughts, blinking as she addresses him. "I am here to help."

Trying his best to keep a calm look, even when he feels himself lowering his entire defense for this one girl, Link asked her a simple question.

"Who…are you?"

The young green haired girl smiled, "My name is Saria."
