Yes, I main Steve. He's gorgeous. Yes, I exaggerate the usefulness of his uf+3 and ALB,2 – but that's because HE IS OTHERWISE USELESS. Namco makes all kinds of imbalanced characters like Christie and Xiaoyu, and then people complain about Steve and what do they do? NERF HIM. He wasn't even all that strong in the first place!

Here's a list of 10 ESSENTIAL changes that need to be made to Steve for Tekken 7 (Or Tekken 6 Light Resurrection) to make him at least slightly competitive. Namco, I hope you're reading this.

Firstly: 1,2,1,2 is USELESS. It does jack-all damage, and it doesn't even STUN! It used to JUGGLE. Also, you can block it in mid-string, and the first hit hits HIGH. It should be made mostly mid, with a low mixed in as well. It should juggle on the first hit. Also, it has NO RANGE. Give it at least the same range as one of Hwo's kicks… Also, TEN FRAMES?! That's ridiculous! Make it four, at most!

Secondly: His unblockable is RETARDED. It does no damage, has like 60 frames, AND it's partially blockable. How about you nuke this move and just make ALL of his attacks unblockable?

Thirdly: He has, like, NO lows. It's stupid. And what he does have, can't counter one of Christie's retarded spinny attacks. How about let him go into ALB while crouching? And how about changing WS+1,2 into FC+1,2?

Fourthly: Why does only his RIGHT punch parry? How about making ALL of his attacks parry? And not just punches, they should also parry kicks. At ALL elevations. And unblockables.

Fifthly: A ducking uppercut's force is driven by weight, DCK+1 should be 0 frames, not 30!

Sixthly: If Steve has enough talent to grab somebody while WEARING BOXING GLOVES, surely he has enough talent to grab air and crouch as well. And grounded. And his throws should be unbreakable. Also, give them more range.

Seventhly: df+1+2 SUCKS. What is the point of a 20-damage move that immediately floors the opponent? Make it juggle!

Eighthly: 4,2 SUCKS. It has too much range and too many frames to be used close enough to combo, and it stuns instead of juggles. Furthermore, it has ridiculous recovery time! Give it more range, make it juggle, and make it 3 frames, at most!

Ninthly: WHY DOESN'T FLICKER HAVE AUTO-BLOCK? It's STUPID. Also, Steve needs to be able to pull mids and lows out of FLK. In particular, 1,1,1,2 should be mid-mid-mid-low, instead of high-high-high-mid!

Finally: MAKE 3,1,1 STUN INSTEAD OF KNOCK DOWN. Also, make it have less recovery frames. SSL,3,1,1,repeat is NOT cheap.



In summary: Reduce Steve's frames, increase his range, make 1,2,1,2 juggle again.
Make all of his moves unblockable, add more crouching options.
Make all of his moves parry all possible moves, make DCK+1 zero frames.
Make his throws target air, crouch and ground, and make them unbreakable.
Make df+1+2 and 4,2 juggle, and lower the elevation of all FLK moves, and give FLK auto-block.
Make 3,1,1 STUN and have faster recovery.
