a/n: I wrote this, so I'm posting it. Sorry and thank you.

"It's ruined. All of it." Astoria proclaimed from her position on the living room floor amid piles of invitations, magazines, and envelopes.

"What's the matter, darling?" Draco asked as he carried a mug of tea over to his fiancé, barely managing to keep an amused smile off his face.

"Don't laugh at me!" She frowned up at him, her face gorgeous even as she reproached him. "It really is all beyond saving now."

"Explain." Draco said, sitting down on the floor across from her.

"I just got the confirmation photograph of my dress and…" Frustration clear on her face as she thrust a picture of a very green wedding dress, "And on top of that, as if things weren't bad enough already, look at the invitations."

Draco carefully sat his cup down and picked up a random invitation and nearly laughed aloud at what he read; "Draco Mouthfoy and Astoria Greenass are delighted to request your attendance at their upcoming nuptials."

"Take a moment to think over you next words, you cannot take them back." Astoria advised, forestalling a breakdown with a brisk attitude.

Draco looked up from the invitation, he held her gaze in his thinking how lucky he was that this gorgeous, intelligent, incredible woman had said that she would spend the rest of her days with him.

He, as he always did, took her advice to heart, carefully constructing his reply. "Are they all like this?"

"Every single one." Tears welled up in her eyes.

"Any way to get a new shipment in time to send them out?"

"Not with the date we've selected, we would have to change it. And the venue, and caterers, and a hundred other things." Astoria looked at him imploringly, willing him to have the solution she typically would have supplied.

"What if…" Draco began, moving so that he was on his knees in front of her; he took the beautiful brunette's hands, "What if we eloped?"

"Eloped?" She whispered the word back at him as if he were insane.

"Yes, right now." Draco squeezed her hands, "It would be perfect, we could get in the car right now and drive until we find the perfect place and then go from there. Neither of us has to be at work until Monday, that gives us tonight and three days."

"Are you serious?" Astoria's eyes were wide as she let the possibility sink in.

"Entirely serious."

"What about everyone expecting to get a wedding invitation? What about my parents?" A thousand thoughts rushed through her mind, as elopement became a viable option.

"We can send out invitations to a reception party to celebrate our marriage, and we owl your parents after we've been wed." Draco grinned, seeing the "yes" that was appearing in her eyes.

"Oh my god. We're going to elope." She looked surprised and pleased at the statement.
