AN: Welcome to the second chapter of the Legend of Remnant thank you, everyone, for reading and reviewing. Slight warning there is some, not a lot, but some language. Without further ado.

Chapter 2: Second Meetings

After departing from the colorful team Link and Zelda explored Vale. The duo was blown away by the size of the buildings and how spread apart it was. While Zelda was captivated by the large grey stone buildings Link kept his ears open listening for threats, while doing so he heard a few curious phrases: "Those damn faunas, their making life worse for everyone", "The Grimm have been seen in greater numbers around the forests." Link thought back to earlier and recalled someone had said the word faunas. What did they mean by Grimm? Are they monsters? "Link." The princess caught his attention. "maybe we should head back to the ship." Link looked at the sky noticing it was darkening he agreed. They started making their way back the way they came. As Link looked around, he noticed that he and the princess got a few rude glares. His hand twitched wanting to grab his sword, but he thankfully restrained himself.

As they arrived at their ship, they noticed that a strange man and woman were talking to the captain of their ship. The man wore what looked like a black suit with a green scarf and was holding a cane, not leaning on it though. He also held a coffee cup in his hand. His outfit contrasted with his silver hair. The woman held a rectangular glass looking pane in her hand and a riding crop in the other. Link's brief overview gave him the impression they wielded great power and even be possibly dangerous.

Link's thoughts were cut off when the gruff sea captain said: "That's them over there." While pointing at the Zelda and Link. The man turned and looked us up and down "So you must be the strange visitors." This remark did not sit well with Link as his hand started rising to the master swords hilt.

The woman pointed her riding crop at Link "tell your hired muscle to stop." She told Zelda.

Zelda did not back down "He is not hired muscle!" she said in an annoyed tone. "his name is Link."

"Glynda stop. Link is merely being cautious." The strange man said to the woman, now named Glynda. She slowly lowered her riding crop. Zelda gestured Link to lower his hand. He did as she told him. "Hello my name is professor Ozpin," The man continued. "What is yours?"

"Zelda." She answered briefly.

"Perhaps we could go somewhere more private to talk?" Ozpin asked.

Zelda nodded. "Of course." She was falling into her political role.

"If you would follow us," Glynda stated. The group of now 4 started walking away from the docks. "we already arranged for you ship to stay in port a few days." Glynda stated, alleviating any worries the royal party had of our ship leaving without them. The group walked in silence toward what Link could tell was a cliff, with a castle on top. As they reached the bottom of the cliff, Link noticed a large grey machine waiting for them, hovering off the ground. When Ozpin and Glynda climbed in, Link and Zelda looked at each other nervously. How was this grey tube floating!? With a second of hesitation, Zelda then climbed aboard with Link following. When aboard the ship started slowly floating to the top of the cliff. This made Link nervous, what if this magic fails and they fall to their death. Thankfully that was not the case, and the ship made it to the top safely. Ozpin and Glynda started walking to the tallest tower, much taller than any tower at Hyrule Castle, with Zelda and Link in tow. There were a few teenagers in what looked like uniforms around the castle grounds. They gave odd looks to Zelda and Link as they passed by.

After a few minutes of walking, they entered the tallest tower and stepped into a metal box. After a few minutes of riding, they reached the top and stepped into a fancy office with moving clock parts in the floor and ceiling. Link thought it was a little much in all honesty. "please take a seat," Ozpin stated gesturing two chairs in front of a large desk, behind which he was already sat. Zelda gracefully sat, while Link stood behind her chair. Ozpin merely raised an eyebrow, but continued "I was wondering, like my students already asked, where are you from?"

"We're from the Kingdom of Hyrule," Zelda stated easily. Link said nothing but nodded.

"I was never aware of a Kingdom of Hyrule," Ozpin said.

"We were never aware of you until about a month ago," Zelda replied.

"The fact that there is a fifth kingdom and we never noticed is preposterous!" Glynda stated disbelievingly.

"Our Kingdom is 3 weeks across the sea by ship plus the fact you have sailed up a river through the very tall mountains for days, kept us separated for hundreds of years," Zelda stated knowingly.

"You told me your names but what are your positions in this kingdom?" Ozpin asked.

"I'm the Princess of Hyrule, Link is my personal bodyguard and hero of Hyrule." Zelda gracefully answered. Ozpin showed only a raised eyebrow

"The Princess and the Hero. A Hero from what?" Ozpin asked.

"The darkness and monsters brought by the evil Ganondorf," Zelda stated. With a tone of pride? Link thought why would that tone be there.

"To do that Link's skills would have to be legendary," Ozpin stated, not as a question but a fact.

"He is hailed as the greatest swordsman across all of Hyrule," Zelda confirmed. Again, with a tone of pride.

"Why is the Princess and Hero of Hyrule visiting Vale?" Ozpin asked.

"The chance to visit and research other civilizations was too good to pass off," Zelda answered.

"Hm. Well while you are here, I would like to offer you a room here at my academy."

"Professor, do think that's wise" Glynda interrupted.

"It would provide us with a chance to research while keeping us supervised making sure we are not a threat," Zelda answered for Ozpin.

"Fine, but Link must leave his sword with us for a few days as an insurance policy," Glynda stated. Link narrowed his eyes at her.

"Deal," Zelda said. Link sighed and remove his sword from his sheath and placed it on Ozpin's desk. As Ozpin looked at it, he could feel the magic coming off of it.

Glynda gesture for Zelda and Link to follow her to their new quarters. When they arrived Glynda unlocked it for them before handing them the key, a piece of plastic. She left without another word. Zelda entered the room first inspecting every inch of it. There were 2 beds, 2 desks, 2 dressers, and a bathroom connecting. Zelda entered the bathroom and discovered how the shower worked, while link removed all his weapons and gear. After Zelda's discovery, she took a shower and Link after her. Washed and ready for bed the two collapsed in their separate beds, exhausted from a day of traveling.

/Ozpin POV\\

Ozpin sat at his desk inspecting the sword placed before him. There was a great deal of magic coming off of it. Not dark though it felt as if it was meant to fight the darkness. Magic or no magic it could be very dangerous in the wrong, or right, hands. Glynda entered his office, "I can't fathom why you let them in, they could be dangerous." Ozpin merely hummed in response before reaching out to lift the sword. When he did, he was not expecting what happened next. It burned him, his aura doing nothing to protect him. He immediately dropped the sword. "Ozpin!" Glynda exclaimed. He waved off her concern.

"Merely a burn Glynda. But please fetch professor Oobleck for me, and then you're dismissed for tonight." Glynda nodded and left his office. Moments later the green blur known as professor, ("DOCTOR!") right, Dr. Oobleck sped into his office.

"What seems to be the problem Ozpin?" He asked at speeds that made it nearly impossible to hear.

"This sword. What do you think of it?" Ozpin asked while rubbing his burned hand.

Oobleck took a minute to observe the sword in question. "To me, it seems to be a normal sword, maybe above average build quality" He reached out and grabbed it lifting it off the desk. Then he dropped it. "Scratch that not average. It seems to be imbued with some power I'm not familiar with. It seems to burn anyone who is not the owner, judging by the burn on your hand." He said gesturing to Ozpins hand.

"Thank you, Dr. Oobleck that will be all for tonight." Ozpin dismissed. Nodding the Dr speed out of the room at insane speeds. Leaving Ozpin alone with his thoughts. He is going to have to discuss this sword with the visitors tomorrow.

/Link & Zelda POV\\

The next morning Zelda was walking around the academy, wishing to explore it where they were staying, with her ever-present bodyguard right behind her. "What a beautiful academy! Wouldn't you agree Link?" Link nodded to her question. Then he noticed a group of 4 men in identical sending unpleasant glares their way. This put Link on edge, ready to defend the princess at a moments notice. "I would like to attend a few of the classes to see what we can learn about their society." Zelda continued to express her fascination for Beacon Academy. "I just wonder what their history is li…"

"Well, well, well, look who was let in. More filthy animals." a rude voice interrupted the princess before she could continue. Zelda and Link spun to see who was the speaker. Link silently groaned to see the 4 unpleasant men from earlier. "I wonder if their ears are real like the rabbit girls." The biggest guy continued while reaching a hand forward to grab Zelda's ear. Before it could get far Link grabbed his wrist. There was no way in hell he was going to let him grab her. He started putting immense pressure on his wrist, anyone could see the look of severe discomfort on his face. While Link might not look it, he is quite strong. The man looked surprised by Link's action, then he scowled. "Looks like this animal doesn't know his place." Then he swung his free hand at Link. Link dodged, but while doing so he let go of the man.

"Kick his ass Cardin!" one of his lackeys yelled.

Cardin put his fists up like he wanted to fist fight. Who was Link to say no to good ol' fisticuffs? Cardin's 3 lackey's and so did Zelda, with a nervous look on her face. Cardin threw the first punch with his right fist. To say it was sloppy would be a severe understatement, it was overextended, far to easy to predict, and not even well coordinated. Link stepped inside the punch delivering a swift jab to his gut, knocking the air out of Cardin. Link then brought his left in-between Cardin's legs swept his left leg while elbowing his collar bone. The result? Cardin hit the ground like a sack of potatoes. Cardin growled and was about to get and start his attempted assault again when…

"ENOUGH!" That one word at such a volume, pitch, and tone made all 4 bullies stop. Or maybe it was the person because professor Goodwitch was there. And she looked upset. Link looked over her shoulder that's when he also noticed Ozpin behind there, with an amused look on his face. Link looked around and noticed all the students watching, and pointing their own glass panes at them. Link needed to learn why.

Cardin quickly stood up. "That animal just started attacking me professor, it wasn't my fault." Link merely rolled his eyes at the stupid excuse. He heard Zelda huff angrily behind him and opened her mouth about to say something when Ozpin interrupted.

"I don't believe you Mr. Winchester for half a second."

"Why not!?" Cardin asked.

"I saw the whole thing myself," Ozpin stated. At that, the entire group of 4's faces got very pale. Almost ghostly white. "I'm afraid I'm going to give you another detention to your already impressive pile." He continued. "Now if this scuffle is all sorted out. Link and Zelda, I would like to speak with you. With that, he and Glynda turned around to head to Ozpins office. When the group of 4 arrived Link and Zelda noticed the Master Sword was still on the desk, only shifted a few inches as if dropped multiple times.

"What is it you wanted to discuss, Ozpin?" Zelda question.

"I wanted to ask you about this sword." He answered.

"What about the Master Sword?" Zelda asked. Link noticed Glynda raise an eyebrow at the name

"Well for starters no one in my staff can lift the sword without burning their hands," Ozpin stated. "I wanted to ask how did you give it such enchantment to prevent anyone except the owner to lift it?"

"Link didn't add that enchantment. The sword is imbued with magic meant to harm and injure dark creatures or magic." She answered.

"That explains why everyone else only got light burns," Ozpin muttered. I raised an eyebrow at this.

"If it only burns lightly then you shouldn't worry that's the reaction most people get. Only very few like Link can wield the Master Sword properly." Zelda explained.

"How few?" Glynda asked.

"Only one person hundreds of years apart can wield it." She answered with slight hesitation.

"I feel that's enough for now, wouldn't you agree Glynda?" Without waiting for an answer, he continued. "You may have the sword back and continue your day. But please don't start any more fights with my students." Link nodded in response. "Very well. Have a nice day." With that Ozpin dismissed them.

AN: I know I couldn't help myself. Can't have a RWBY fanfiction without team CRDL getting in a fight. Sorry if the fight scene wasn't satisfactory, I haven't had much experience writing fight's and didn't want to start with a huge over the top RWBY fight scene.
