Quinn POV
Quinn didn't know why she was here. How does the head cheerleader end up in the middle of the woods camping with a bunch of mostly losers? Well that's not true she knew exactly why she was here. Anything was better than home. She just had to survive another day and school would start again. Her escape from home.
Quinn's best friend Santana sat by her side looking as bored as she felt. The group currently sat around the fire looking for entertainment. Next to Santana sat Puck who was currently flicking things into the fire while talking about the upcoming football season with his best friend Finn. Next to Finn sat Rachel who kept trying to suggest games to play to pass the time. Next to her sat Tina and Mike who seamed to be lost in their own little world. To the left of Quinn sat Blaine who seemed to be content resting his head on his boyfriend Kurt's shoulder and listening to him badger Mercedes on some guy she had apparently met at the Lima bean.
"I just don't see why you won't tell me about him? It's not so much that you're keeping him a secret it that you are lying to my face. If you don't want to tell me about just say so." Kurt exclaimed halting all conversations. "I'm not lying I just have no idea what you are talking about." Mercedes yelled in response.
"Trouble in paradise?" Puck joked. "Mercedes and I met at the Lima bean earlier today for coffee and as I was coming in I saw her talking to a guy. But every time I ask her about it she denies it even though I saw him with my own eyes." Kurt explained. "And I keep saying I have no idea what you're talking about I didn't talk to anyone before you came." Mercedes yelled.
"I think this argument is rather juvenile and that our time would be better spent bonding as a glee club. This is the perfect opportunity to practice our singing"- "First of all hobbit no one asked you," Santana interrupted "second of all no one cares about bonding, thirdly how can we bond as a group without Optimus prime and lastly it's obvious there's something wrong with guy and that's why she is pretending he doesn't exist."
"No one asked you either Satan, and for the last time there was no guy!" Mercedes exclaimed. It was moments like these that Quinn wondered why she let her ex boyfriend Finn talk her into this. " I'd much rather play one of Rupaul's games than keep on the subject of this boy who may or may not exist." Rachel lit up "Thank you Quinn it is a pleasure to see someone shares my excitement for team bonding. As I was saying now is a good a time as any for a old fashioned game of truth or dare." Quinn rolled her eyes.
"You're kidding me right I haven't played this since I was in the fourth grade." Santana sneered "I don't know it could be fun." Tina shrugged." Guys let's all let Rachel play her game she worked hard to set this whole trip up." Finn remarked. Quinn scoffed he was so transparent it was like he was made of glass.
"Fine if you want to play so badly truth or dare Finn?" Santana asked with an evil grin on her face. Finn gulped "truth"Santana nodded her head "wise choice but not wise enough. How many girls have you slept with?" Finns face turned bright red earning a few chuckles from the group. "None." Finn mumbled.
As the game got went on Quinn started to turn out the others and get lost in though. While looking out into the darkness Quinn noticed a faint red glow in the distance. "Quinn truth or dare?" Santana asked. This brought her attention back to the group. "Sorry I just thought I saw some lights over there. What was the question?" Santana scoffed "truth or dare it literally the game we've been playing for the last hour." Quinn considered it for a second "dare I guess"Santana smiled. "Since you seem so interested in those lights why don't you go investigate."
Quinn looked back at Santana, "Yeah right wondering off in the middle of the woods to investigate that's how people get murdered. No one in their right mind would do it." "Come on Fabray everybody knows the virgin always survives these situations." Santana teased. Quinn rolled her eyes " if it's so important to you why don't you go then huh ho-pez unless you're scared." One thing Quinn knew about her best friend was that she never backed down from a challenge even one such as this.
"Santana Diabla Lopez isn't afraid of anything. I'll go see what's making the lights and be right back." With that she was gone. Quinn smirked it was almost too easy. Santana was gone for barely a minute when they heard the scream.
Quinn got a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. Puck was the first one to run toward the lights soon after followed by Quinn. Eventually they came to open space of woods were light was just pouring out of the ground. The group all moved into the space then started yelling Santana's name at the top of their voice. Suddenly from the bushes came a rustling and then suddenly Santana bursted out and yelled "Boo!" Everyone scream.
Santana was rolling on the ground laughing. Puck started to laugh too. "You should have seen your faces." Quinn was furious. " what is wrong with wrong with you?" She stalked over and shoved Santana. "Come on Q, can't you take a joke." Santana shoved back. "Come on guys let's not fight." Finn interjected. He then moved between them.
"What is with this light?" Blaine questioned "It looks like it's coming straight out of the ground." They all gathered around the light and examined. "Maybe we shouldn't be over here, the ground feels really unstable." Tina looked around anxiously. "Oh come on girl Chang it's perfectly safe see." Santana proceeded to jump up and down. "Oh come on that's not funny Santana." Mike said. "Live a little Mike." Puck laughed and started jumping up and down too. "Dude stop this might be unsafe." Finn exclaimed.
Suddenly a loud crack was heard from below. Quinn only had time to look over Santana before the ground around them collapsed. The last thing she saw before she blacked out was the terrified expression on the others faces.
