Take a Break.
Arnold wakes up one morning to see that he is now an adult but can't remember anything after the fourth grade. He is now in his thirties, he has kids, a job and most shocking of all, he is married to his old tormentor Helga G. Pataki, and his parents are BACK.

CHAPTER TWO:
Many questions and few answers
Arnold felt very tired when he awoke for the second time that day, but this time he realized that this time he was in his room seeing the sky free of clouds through the roof of the glass ceiling.
The boy also noticed a sharp pain in the back of his head and a cold compress on his forehead making him feel, in a certain way, a little relieved as he came to the conclusion that he had been dreaming due to a sudden fever.
Yes, that must be because there is no way that a boy of my same age and like me to call me dad, he said completely convinced and even thought about going back to sleep a bit, but instead he began to digress with his dream.
I wonder if when I have a child it will be like that child because despite the way he threatened me with a gun, he seemed like a good boy trying to protect his younger sisters. Oh, man, I did not just dream that I was the father of a child, but of three, although if I think about it, it's not the first time I dream of having three children, although these were much more pleasant ... Maybe it's because the mother was not Helga.
Arnold turned around in his bed, covering himself with blankets to his head while he remembered that he should not think much about Helga since he still had not decided what to do about his confession because on the one hand he was still not sure if he should, or he did not believe in his words and on the other he did not know because he just did not reject her when he had a chance and even helped her keep her secret if it really was true.
However, and against his wishes his subconscious could not leave the subject aside.
Will she really be in love with me? Or was she just bothering me like she always does? But I'm not sure if she would lie with something like that just for torturing me, besides ... Besides, I was the one who forced her to confess her true intentions, but ... Love? Honestly, I did not expect that.
"You lie!"
"No! Why would I do something like that?"
"Because since he told you his feelings you have not been able to stop thinking about her."
"Don't! Even I don't like-like her."
"Insurance?"
"Of course! It's just a girl who does not stop bothering me, and she does it just because ... because"
"Why is she in love with you and you know..."
"Don't! And stop bothering me."
Arnold curled up in a fetal position and tried to sleep to put aside the annoying voice that curiously resembled Helga's. He had already thought a lot about FTI and still was not sure what the truth was and was even grateful to be in detention, so he could have a time away from Helga.
After taking a fainted Arnold to his son's room, Helga, immediately called his best friend to tell him what happened.
"Pheebs. You will not believe what happened!"
"Good morning for you, Helga."
"Sorry, Sorry. Morning."
"Then what is it that I'm not going to believe happened?"
"I do not know how to tell you this, so I'll just say it: Arnold was attacked by the men in black!"
Phoebe stared at her incredulous cell phone because Helga called her on her day off just to make a joke.
"Helga"said very slowly " I know the girls did not let you sleep well, but remember that I have my first day of rest after the neurosurgery conference I was participating in and I can not answer the phone for you to tell me those things."
"I promise you it's not a joke. Can you come now?"
"Now?!"
"Please, Pheebs."
When listening to the supplicating tone of her best friend and knowing that she was able to go home to her, she did not have to accept.
"Going."
Helga said goodbye gratefully before putting her thumb to her worried mouth while thinking about what she would do now with her husband ...
"Mom?"
Upon hearing the worried voice of her son the woman quickly stopped biting her thumb to look at the little boy.
"Tell me, darling."
"Do you think dad is okay?"
"Of course it will be, Phillip-boy. This is just ... it's just ... "Helga shook her head recognizing that she did not know what it was." I do not know what's going on, but rest assured that everything will be solved. Meanwhile, let's try to make Dad feel as comfortable as possible with all this. In agreement?
"All right, Ma."
"Thank you, honey," Helga said. "Hey ... I bet you a dollar to wake up saying that this is all a dream and acting like a fool."
"I bet ten that he acts mature and will understand that we are in a strange situation."
"Done" they both said in unison.
Both mother and son gave each other a handshake to seal the deal as they always did.
The woman tousled her eldest son before giving him a big kiss on the cheek and then went to check on her two babies since they were most likely hungry.
Arnold was about to fall asleep again when the sound of knocking on the door caught his attention. He sat under the covers and said a "pass" so that the person who was outside his room could enter.
A tall blond woman entered the room. She was the same woman Arnold saw sleeping beside her in the morning and apparently knew him.
"Hey Arnold ... Are you okay?"
"Who are you?"
Soon as she heard to your husband's question, Helga, confirmed one of her worst fears. He had not only shrunk his body, he had also lost part of his memory or the complete memory of him. Now it only remained to know what he remembered and pray that everything would return to normal.
"I brought this to you," she said, showing the clothes in her hands.
Arnold noticed that the woman had omitted his question, but did not catch that she had bad intentions.
"Hum ... I ... Thank you" he replied looking at his clothes, but unable to avoid it again asked "Who are you?"
"Do not you recognize me?" Asked the woman looking at him with her deep blue eyes.
Arnold stared at her.
When he had seen her sleep she thought that she looked a lot like 'Cecile'. Now all he could think about was how much his eyes looked like Helga's and remembering the last time he had seen them so close he felt blushed.
"Look, I know you must be confused, but I'm waiting for a doctor to arrive before answering any questions you have." He said cautiously "While she's coming I'll leave you alone to change your clothes and bring something so you can have breakfast. "
"Okay and thanks"
Arnold was once again alone in his room, and he looks on the positive side because whatever that person was going through was willing to help him. He did not know why, but he completely trusted that woman.
As soon as Helga left the room she saw her son sitting on the stairs waiting for news.
"Dad woke up?" Phillip asked anxiously.
"Yes"
"Y…?"
"Take little devil" Helga replied with a sigh "He was calm despite not remembering anything" he said as he handed a bill to his son.
"I knew it," Phillip laughed, putting the money in his hat. "Wait a minute ... he does not remember anything?"
"What you hear, my son"
"That's weird"
Helga perplexed eyelash. "Do you think the strangest thing is that he has lost his memory and not that he is your age?"
"I think it's a bit cool to be taller than dad," the little Football-Head replied with a shrug.
"Whatever you say, Phil-boy"
Mother and son descended the stairs without noticing that Arnold had listened to all their conversation.
That place, those people and that situation had to be a strange dream produced by the stress of the last weeks.
Arnold dressed in absolute silence. The clothes that that woman had given him were the same ones that he used daily. There was nothing different in them, perhaps they had a faint smell of stored clothes, but they fit as well as yesterday, the day before yesterday or the day before that.
The preadolescent left all his questions aside for the time being and concentrated on making his bed. After placing the pillow, he looked at the room that was exactly like when he went to sleep the night before. Nothing had changed and even the remote control was still on his nightstand as usual.
The boy took one of the pillows from the bed and leaned back on the sofa with his hands on his stomach looking at the clear sky of the city.
Many unknowns passed through his mind and, for better or for worse, he decided to wait for that woman to clarify them all, But even with that thought in mind, Arnold, could not stop thinking over and over again about the events of the strange situation he was in.
According to what he had heard of that woman and the boy, he shrinks and lost his memory, but even though he did not think they were lying, everything was so strange.
Where were your grandparents?
They really were his family?
Why did the pension look so new?
What happened to the tenants?
Those were just some questions that Arnold began to ask. Because he knew that he was in all his right to demand answers, but he did not want to make the woman feel bad again, because he noticed how his eyes had looked sore when he could not tell her that he remembered her.
He would cooperate and whatever happened; He would solve it However, it was very difficult not to think again that this woman was more likely to be his wife, and he was not sure how to feel about it, because despite his beauty and his kindness, he felt a little sad when he was He asked himself what had happened with Helga.
Arnold shook his head quickly to avoid thinking.
Of course, Helga confessed him, and he had no obligation to return her feelings, but if that was his future, it simply meant that things had not worked out between them? Or that he never corresponded her feelings?
Arnold felt a painful twinge in his chest when he imagined rejecting Helga, but decided it was because he did not like to think that she was sad. Because in spite of all the times he made fun of him; He wanted her to be happy. She could be rough around the edges, but she was harmless, and he was completely sure that she had a kind heart, so she could not believe that she had not given him a chance when they were older.
Be it a dream or reality soon he would know what was happening, and he wishes that it does not matter how things were or are going to be in the future. He wanted Helga to remain in his life...
Sorry for the delay. I will try to have the next chapter before next Sunday. Sorry for the mistakes. I will check the times that it is necessary and I will continue striving to present something of quality.
