It's been a while since I've posted a fic, so here's another little drabble based on the song "Almost Said It" by Carly Rae Jepson!

Josh and Aaron are best friends.

Josh wants their friendship to be something more, but he knows it would never happen.

Aaron thinks Josh might like him back, but he's probably dreaming.

He called Josh to confess, but instead of telling him, they talk about games to feature on their

channels.

Two hours later, Aaron realizes that he hasn't said anything, but it's too late to bring it up now.

They end the call after another hour, after he invites Josh to a cafe that's just opened nearby.

He screams at himself the whole way to the Cafe, but calms down before parking.

He hides his emotions behind awful puns and a painfully fake smile, not daring to reveal anything.

He tries to tell him, he really does try.

But Josh's jokes and laugh wash away any thought of something more.

They're just friends.

He loves making Aaron laugh, but he can't help feeling like there was another reason they met here.

He smiles sadly at the thought that they could be together.

They're just friends, nothing more.

They get kicked out of the cafe because they were laughing too hard.

Josh invites him over to continue their conversation and play some new game or something, Aaron wasn't paying attention.

He just wanted to spend more time with Josh before ruining it with his feelings.

It hurts to think about, but there's no way he'd be interested.

They play games late into the night.

It's nearly 2 in the morning when they divert their attention away from the games and each other.

Aaron leaves with a hug that makes him wish he wouldn't go, but then it's over and he's gone.

Neither one of them sleeps that night.
