Malon's Story

She was a girl with hair like fire,

A temper to match and a voice like a lyre.

When she was seven she found her life-mate,

But he was a hero, chosen by fate.

She thought he would die still a child, still young,

So she gave him herself, in a song she'd been sung.

He never came back, not for many years,

She missed he so bad, she cried all her tears.

The Gerudo King rose into power,

Her lover, she thought, had met his final hour.

The ranch hand took over, and gave the King steeds,

He did it for status, to fulfill all his needs.

And then suddenly, her hero was there,

Ingo locked him up, but he escaped with her mare.

The next day he came back with her father in tow,

They tried to pay him, but he kept saying no.

He kissed her fiercely, but then he fled.

To vanquish his foe, or so he said.

She knew the truth though, knew he was scared,

She was happy as well, the kiss said he cared.

He rode back the next day, bruised and battered,

Ganon was slain though, and that's all that mattered.

He confessed at last, that her he did love,

While high up above there flew a white dove.
