Butterflykit hobbled out of the nursery after Brownkit and Gentlekit, his blue eyes stretched wide with excitement. Gentlekit's white fur gleamed in the sunlight, and Brownkit's dark pelt seemed a tad bitb lighter. His lilac tortoiseshell pelt seemed more bold. Was it because they finally got to explore?
Flowerspirit had been keeping them huddled in the nursery all leaf-bare, and when they asked why, she just vaguely said because it was too cold. But they knew she was lying. But they never questioned her further.
Butterflykit let out a squeak as he bumped into a warrior. "S-Sorry, sir!" He apologized quickly, and the warrior chuckled. "Flowerspirit been keeping ya' all cooped up? Haven't seen ya' or ya' littermates around in winter. Ya' Butterflykit, mm?"
"Uh, y-yes." He stammered, taken offguard by this warrior's odd speech pattern. "An aren't ya' a tom? Why ya' name Butterflykit?" Butterflykit frowned. "I just am."
The warrior laughed. "I see. Well, Ah'm Lightningscar. See ya' 'round!" And with that, the warrior vanished, and Brownkit tackled him. "Butterflykit! Let's play Invasion!"
Gentlekit shook her head, clucking her tongue. "No! Let's play Mother and Kits! You two are the kits, and I'll be the mother!" She purred. Brownkit sighed. "Fine.."
Butterflykit giggled, but as he sat down, he swore he saw Fallenstar glaring at him. But why? What was wrong? "Kits! Comeback here!" Flowerspirit called, and their mother looked worried. She kept glancing from them to Fallenstar.
"Coming!" They yelled and bounded into the nursery.
