She knew why he did it, she didn't need to ask. It was painful, but having him there made it less so. And when he lay her down with care, she felt some sort of relief, but not physically. It was emotional relief, mental even. She had been struggling with this for so long and now she had some respite.
All those years ago, something in him had changed and she just couldn't bear it. He became so distant, so... cruel. She believed it was her fault, so she faked her death, leaving behind everyone she had come to care so much for. Ever since then it had been eating her alive, the worry, the anxiety...
She reached up to touch his face and gave a weak smile. All the worry and anxiety dissipating as she looked at him. This moment was all that mattered to her right now.
"This will all be over soon." He said, stroking her cheek. "You'll be my queen and you'll be by my side while I change this world."
"Just like you promised..." She said slowly. She realized then Aizen, the real one, hadn't changed one bit. To others, he puts up this wicked veneer, showing them only what he wants them to see. And to her, the mask comes off and she sees him for what he truly is.
Which isn't so bad, she thinks. He wasn't like the other soul reapers. That's why she loved him, and she told him so now. He didn't respond, but he didn't have to say anything, for she already knew he did too.
