It's been about 3 months since the first chat room incident. Ever since then Herogirl10 and I have had our computers automatically pull up chat rooms each day around 8pm at night. So far we have nothing on who or what is doing this to us. On a side note, Herogirl10 and I have become pretty close. First Herogirl10's real name is Violet and she's an inkling that lives in Inkopolis. She's was currently new to the city when we first met and now she's the captain of her own team and stuff. She sent me a picture of her and her team once she felt more comfortable around me. I however felt hesitant at first to give her a picture of me. After all I'm an octoling, but I eventually maned up and sent her one. I was so afraid that she would hate me after seeing what I was, but she didn't. Instead she talked about how she thought I was cool, and nice and smart and the first octoling she's ever met. She didn't care what I was she was just happy to have me as a friend which really shocked me. In a good way but still Violet has to be the nicest inkling I've ever met. Any way she's a year younger and uses a carbon roller as her weapon. I'm just a weapon's designer for the octarian army I wasn't super familiar in combat. But hey I could learn right. Anyway I'm really happy I met her and dream that maybe one day I could meet her in real life. Heh an unreachable dream right?
I walked into to the octarian weapon's lab only to be greeted by two octoling officials. "Can I help you" I asked stiffly, "Crimsink Tenkool, we are here to inform you that you are being moved up to the frontlines of the war against the inklings" I blinked for a moment then felt as panic spread throughout my body. "You can't be serious I'm a weapon's designer I can't fight I don't know how" I yelled "you best learn to hold your tongue boy" the one of the official slapped me in the face "we are short on recruits for the frontlines, you don't get a say in this you know what will happen if you refuse" I looked away, the pain from my check still hurt. "We expect to see you tomorrow ready to fight for our cause" the two octolings left leaving me alone in the labs.
When I got back to my home, I collapsed under the pressure and fear and stress of what I was told earlier that day. I was horrified that I was going on the frontlines I could fight… which means I wasn't going to make it. I shook my head and watched as the screen to my laptop lit up. It was the daily chatroom with Violet…. Violet I would have to tell her what was going to happen. I got up and took a seat at my desk. I didn't have to courage to talk to her, so instead I decided to type her an email.
"Dear Violet,
I have some pretty bad news, and this might be the last thing you ever hear from me. I know I'm a horrible friend for sending this to you in a letter. I'm being called to the frontlines, I'm going to be forced to fight for a cause I don't believe in and I'm probably not going to make it. So I wanted to tell you that, I'm so happy I met you. You've been my only friend and I can't imagine my life without you. You've been my light, my reason to continue on, and I'm going to use the thought of you to motivate me to stay alive…. There are so many things I wanted to tell you and maybe I will someday, but for now just know you've made me a better person.
Your best friend,
Crimsink"
I finished up the letter and sent it. I then closed my laptop and grabbed a golden hair pin I made. I had some sort of food item with a toothpick sticking through it. I had hoped that one day I would give it to Violet. I frowned the looked up "what ever may come I know I can face it with the thought of you Violet, I promise that one day I'll give this hairpin to you in person, I promise".
