Emma took a deep breath while leaving her last class and walked into the hallways. That class was super wierd.

Ofcourse she had her regular Math or English studies, but her last class was for her potions and spells training. It felt wierd doing magic infront of everyone when growing up she had kept it such a secret for so long.

When she walked to her next class, she wondered what it'd be like. It was history, but she doubted it was history about the world wars or humans..it was probably how vampires came to be or witches or-

Speak of the devil . . or actually, speaking of vampires.

Emma caught Sean walk past her. He came from around the corner so hadn't seen her but she stopped walking slowly when she noticed him suddenly slow down also and a painful expression crossed his face before he rubbed his forehead and looked around. What was up with him? Emma tilted her head a bit but walked off before he caught her looking at him. Not like she was afraid of him- she wasn't, for some reason (Even if everyone else was).

Over by Sean, the vampire rubbed the back of his head this time, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. What was that? A massive painful headache and chest burn just hit him and suddenly it was gone. He's never felt something like that. I mean, weird things happened around here but not like that and not to a vampire who barely had a heart hense no heart burn? He tried to shrug it off, and walked to his next class.

((**)))

Emma walked into History and stopped at the doorway. Dammit. Everybody was already seated. She tried to look around without being noticed and looked for an empty seat. Ofcourse, in the back, there was one...but it sat next to Jay Hogart. And he glared right back at her when she looked at him. Hmm, guess nobody took that seat for a reason.

"Emma!" Caitlin smiled, walking over to her and actually hugged her. Emma froze, her eyes widening a little but it was safe to say when she looked around, nobody noticed the teacher hugging a student.

Awkward.

She was going to be an interesting teacher, Emma could tell already. She put a hand on Emma's shoulder, "Go have a seat. Class is starting any second."

Emma clenched her jaw a bit and asked, "Where can I go sit?"

Cailtin looked around and ofcourse pointed to the one near Jay. Emma tried not to look rude but took a deep breath, "is there..any other?" she muttered quietly but when she glanced back to Jay who sat in the back and doodling whatever on his binder now, he was smirking. He could obviously hear her. Manny was right, he was a jerk.

Emma took Caitlins shrug as a 'no' so scoffed on her way over to Jay. She tried to be nice and greeted, "Hey." she sat down slowly, and tucked her hair behind her ear as she laid her binder on her desk.

She got no reply. Emma tried not to roll her eyes and looked to Caitlin who began her lesson, "Okay you guys, today we'll be finishing the reading on troll biography."

"Thank god." breathed Spinner up front, bored with the topic.

"Hey!" snapped Darcy, turning her head to glare and was, in fact, a troll. Some students laughed.

"Now, now. Open your books to chapter 8, and read it over. There are questions on the second page that I want you all to answer and then we will go over it but I want you first to talk about it with the person sitting next to you. Give your opinions, and what you thought about their history" Caitlin nodded at everyone, hinting to start now.

Emma opened her book but cornered her eyes a little at Jay. She had to talk this over with him? She tried to read to focus, but as some moments passed by, she noticed Jay not even reading.

"Shouldn't you be reading it?" she asked, trying to give a slight smile and was only saying it for his benefit. They did have to talk about it after..

Jay cornered his eyes at her and sat forward again and she tensed up a little. He leaned closer and whispered as if a secret, "Shouldn't you be minding your own business?" he taunted.

Emma took a deep breath again, rolling her eyes and glanced around the room. Everyone ELSE was done reading and talking to another. Great. Jay seemed REALLY great to sit next to (Sarcasm by the way).

"Sorry I'm late Miss Ryan." Manny quickly apologized, running into class from the front.

This time, Emma felt Jay tense beside her a little. She narrowed her eyes, unnoticed, at him and saw his eyes watch Manny sit down. Like Emma said, she was good at reading Auras..it must of been some witch thing but she saw how Jay seemed to even soften and saw the way he looked at Manny. For breaking up with her, he didn't seem very over her?

Manny must of felt eyes on her, and she looked back and Jay looked away. Emma would of laughed but she was too busy catching Manny's look who waved at her happily, seeing they were in a class together. Jay noticed Emma wave back and eyed the two curiously usly. The two happened to know another?

Emma noticed Manny sitting with Ellie who she just also noticed was in this class. Thank god! She could get here earlier tomorrow and sit next to them! But when Ellie turned her head to see who Manny waved at, not only Emma noticed the glare she gave her, but Jay did too.

Jay whistled lowly beside her, tapping his pencil a bit and said, "She doesn't seem to like you, Blondie."

"It's Emma." she snapped but then relaxed and couldn't help but agree.

"What's this?" he raised a book up near her binder. One from the library, all about nature and plants, which were important to witches because you used it's essence for power and spells. Emma always wondered why she had a thing for the environment all through growing up, and that was why.

"A book." Emma taunted, but knew what he meant. He was making fun of her for reading about plants. "You read them, which you clearly don't know how to do or we'd be talking about our assignment like we were told to do."

He chuckled, and actually thought it was funny. Emma saw a student infront of them turn their head and almost looked horrified. I guess Jay didn't laugh a lot and it was a thrilling site. Emma didn't find Jay so scary now though, she saw his aura and the look in his eyes when he looked at Manny...there was good in him, even if he tried to hide it.

The bell rang and they all got up, Jay following behind Emma. When Emma exited, she noticed Sean coming straight toward them so she turned right there and walked off. He was headed for Jay and when he looked up he noticed her leaving. She was gorgeous little thing, but looked so innocent, and was probably predictable and damsel in distress like. He didn't like girls like that, even if she was always catching his eyes.

.. that short skirt she wore didn't help either. It was distracting.

"She in your class?" Sean couldn't help but ask Jay, nodding the way Emma went and Jay turned his head, confused on who Sean met but then nodded. Ah right, Manny's friend.

"Yup. Cheeky little thing."

Sean had to snicker but gave Jay a look like he didn't believe. Seriously though? Who had the guts to stick up to Jay or any Vivian for that matter? It wasn't going to be some new girl goldie locks. Was it?

OK so maybe she wasn't THAT predictable..

The principle stopped behind the guys, noticing them and his face hardened, "Problem boys?" he was an older man, in his 50's and wore stiff looking suits. He even held a briefcase, and gelled his grey hair back professionally.

They both turned and Jay looked off rather annoyed, "Not as yet, Raditch." he boredly replied and looked back at him, giving him a look to basically fuck off. Raditch was ALWAYS on their asses. Raditch had a personal vendetta against Vivians or, well, most of the kids in school but mostly Sean and Jay.

Sean didn't answer, and turned his head back towards Emma at her locker. Peter Stone was on his way to her and Sean narrowed his eyes- "Mr Cameron, problem?" Upon being annoyed and distracted at something he was trying to look at, he glared at Raditch and shot back, "No." he snapped viciously and walked off, passing by Raditch on the way.

Jay smirked a bit, seeing even though Raditch put on a good show like he wasn't afraid of them, he still shot back from Sean and out of his way. Raditch took off his glasses a bit shakily and washed them with his kleenex in his pocket. You see, Sean worried him the most, since Jay showed some humanity when he enjoyed the expense of others..but Sean, Sean barely spoke to anyone outside his circle and seemed uncontrollable and was intimidating so Raditch feared him.

An uncontrollable vampire was scary.
