Quinn Fabray was like something off of a movie screen. Her Audrey Hepburn/Marilyn Monroe hybrid features alone made her something to be envied. Not to mention her academic and social achievements. Head Cheerleader, honor role, leader of the celibacy club, and daddy's perfect angel. Her life was flawless, and most would live it as if there weren't a care in the world.

That morning, she couldn't move. Her eyelids open, yet her body unable to move by the ruling of her own very mind. She blinked, and then there they were. The tears. Why was she crying? Today was just another day. And that was the thing that bothered poor Quinn, is that it was just another unpredictable day. She knew this was just an episode, and that within hours she would be back to her peppy self. She had to fake it to make it, like her mom always said.

Life was so good, sometimes. She would feel like the girl everybody viewed her to be. She glowed from the outside in, and this was all good and fine until another day came and her brain decided that today was not a good day for her. Her mind was like an unceasing roller coaster that didn't stop running regardless of circumstance. She had to be strong. Buck up. Be the perfect girl everybody knows you as. Dont mess any of it up. You owe your parents more than that.

"I cannot take this. Not anymore." she uttered under her breath as her brain allowed her the motion of rolling on her side, gripping her pillow, and scrolling through her phone.

Her delicate finger trembling, she dialed the number into her phone, her sniffling voice cracking as she spoke to the woman on the other line.

"Hi, My name is Lucille, and Im calling to see if you are taking any new patients." she said, unaware of her mother standing outside the door.

"Thank you. Friday the 3rd sounds great. Thank you, again. Buh-bye." she said, pressing the 'end call' button on her iPhone.

Her mother attempted to open the door, but alas, it was locked. Quinn made it a habit to lock her doors at night. The doorknob shaking, her mother, Judy, banged on the door, nearly snapping her acrylic nails clean in half.

"Quinn, open this door right now! Now!" her mother demanded.

Her legs barely holding up the blonde as she made it to the door, flinching as her bare feet hit the cold of the hardwood, made it too the door, unlocking it and allowing her mother's entry.

"Who are you talking to, Lucy? You think I'm dumb. You know what, Im no dummy. I graduated from NCC just like your father and I want to know what you are up to. If you dont tell me right now, I am calling your father, and he will handle it."

"What the hell did I ever do to you? I can't take THIS anymore! Im tired of being tired all the time, and then the clouds clearing again for a few days and then Im back…here!" Quinn said, gesturing to everything around her and then dipping forward until her face was in the pillow, screaming.

Her mother's eyes dropped. Like she said, she was not a stupid woman. After all, it didn't take a genius to realize that something was wrong at this point. Judy's heels clicked on the ground below her as she took a seat on the edge of her daughters bed.

"My little Cinderella…" she said sympathetically to her child.

Quinn looked at her mother with trembling eyes and a tear stained face, and rolled into her mother's side, sobbing into her dress-suit sleeve.

"Mama, I don't know whats wrong with me anymore." she uttered in-between sobs.

"Nothings wrong with you, baby. Nothing at all." she said as she patted her daughter's blonde hair. "We are gonna find out why things are like this. But nothing is wrong, honey.".

Those last words lingered in Quinn's mind before she said, "Nothing wrong? Look at me, mom. Look at dad. Look at you! Theres a crazy daughter, an cheating husband, and a low-self esteem housewife! I'm not stupid mom. Nothing is okay. Thats what it is." Quinn said, sitting up. Leaning back onto her pillow, she whispered to herself just out loud enough to where her mother couldn't catch wind,

"Everybody expects me to be The Princess, but in truth, I'm The Basket Case.".
