For the past three months Mae and Bea have been planning their move. they both looked at apartments together deciding which one would be the best most affordable apartment. They settled for a two story, two bedroom apartment. The apartment cost around one thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars, but they figured if they are going to move the might as well get a place that they don't mind living in.

"So is this the last of the stuff?" Bea said, loading the rest of their boxes in the back of her truck.

"It should be, I've gotten all my stuff. Do you have all yours?" Mae asked.

"Yeah I've already gotten my stuff Mae. Remember we packed up my stuff first since my car was at my apartment."

"Oh yeah, sorry that was a stupid question. I just can't believe were actually moving!" Mae said all excitedly.

"Yeah I gotta admit, I never thought I'd actually be leaving this town."

"So since we have everything, are we ready to go?" Mae asked.

"Are you sure you have everything?"

"Yep."

"Have you said goodbye to everyone?"

"Uh huh."

"Ok, then I guess we can go if your ready."

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be." Mae said, as the two started getting in Bea's truck.

Before they took off Maes' parents came out to the yard, and walked over to the truck.

"Before you go Mae, we wanted to give you something to remember us bye." Candy said, handing her a framed photo.

Mae looked at the photo. It was Mae's favorite photo. It was the photo that her family took when the moved into their house.

"Aww thanks mom, but you know I'm still going to visit you and dad right?"

"Sure that's what they all say, but soon you'll be to busy, and you will forget about us. Then we'll never see you again." Candy said.

"Yep, our kitten is all grown up. Maes' dad mentioned.

Bea chuckled to herself at the little pet name. Mae started blushing from the embarrassment. "Dad do you have to call me that?" Mae said, sinking deeper in her seat.

"All the time, cause no matter how old you get you'll always be our little kitten."

"Ha ha, yeah." Mae laughed, sinking into her seat more, and putting on a fake smile.

"Ok well we just wanted to give you that and see our little girl take off." Maes' mom said.

"Ok, then I guess were leaving."

"Alright, well your father and I love you very much. Be safe and make sure to call us when you two get settled in."

"I love you guys too, and I promise to visit as soon as I can."

"You ready to go kitten?" Bea asked jokingly.

"Shut up and drive." Mae said, crossing her arms.

"Ok geez." Bea said, starting the car and beginning to drive off.

"So, anyway how far is this place." Mae asked.

"It's about a six hour drive."

"Oh god." Mae groaned. "Well, I didn't get much sleep last night, so I'm gonna take a nap."

"Ok, I'll wake you up when we get there."

"C'mon Bea, I doubt I'm going to take a six hour nap."

"Whatever you say."

Mae rolled her eyes at that. "Hey can you turn on the radio. Music helps me sleep." Mae asked.

"Sure thing." Bea said switching to a station that they both enjoyed.

Mae quickly fell asleep as she listend to the music. A couple hours went by as she slept. Bea looked over at Mae. Bea thought she looked cute while she slept. She reached over and shook her shoulder gently.

"Mae, Mae wake up."

"Huh, what." Mae asked confused.

"Mae were here."

"Wait what!" Mae exclaimed. "I slept for 6 hours straight?"

"I knew you would, so I went ahead got you some tacos for dinner." Bea said gesturing towards the bag in the backseat.

"Awww thank you Bea."

"No problem. C'mon lets go check out our new home." Bea said getting out of the car.

As the two got out of the car a familiar wolf and bear were walking by.

"Gregg!" Mae said happily

Gregg looked around trying to find who was calling for him, when he saw Mae and Bea.

"Oh hey guys, what are doing here?" Gregg said, seeing j all the stuff in the back of Bea's truck. "Oh my God, were you guys at a garage sale."

"What, no! Gregg were moving in." Bea said.

"Wait you guys are moving in. Oh that's swell news." Angus said. "Do you guys need help moving your furniture."

That would be nice, thank you. Bea said.

As the four friends started unloading the furniture and moving into their new home.

"So what were two doing here?"

"Oh, we were just walking home from the movies. We saw that new horror movie "The Killer on 14th Street" ,and I have to admit it was pretty bad.

"Wait, do you guys live nearby?" Mae asked.

"Yeah, we live the next street over actually." Gregg said, trying not to drop the couch.

"Are you okay Gregg?" Mae asked concerned.

"Oh it's nothing, just this couch is really heavy."

"Gregg it's a small leather couch, it's so light I can hold it with one hand."

"Dude, I hope you get shot by the police." Gregg said.

"I hope you get run over." Mae replied.

"I hope you get stranded on an island."

"I hope you get lost in a jungle."

They both started laughing at each other, while Angus and Bea stared at them. They never really understood the game those two played with each other. It just never made sense to them, but they never really questioned it. After about a hour and a half later everything was inside the house. The only thing left was to unpack everything and put together the furniture, but they decided it could wait till tomorrow. Right now all Bea wanted to do was sleep. She was beat after the drive up to their new home, and moving all their thing inside of it.

"Alright well I'm beat." Bea said collapsing on the mattress in the living room.

"Yeah I am too." Mae said sitting down next to Bea

"Really, You just woke up from a six hour nap thirty minutes ago."

"What can I say, its what I do best."

Alright well, I have my day of work tomorrow. So if you want I can swing by, and help you two put furniture together. Angus said, walking towards the door.

"Angus you don't have to do that." Mae said

"It's no trouble at all Mae. It would also give me something to do."

"I would help too, but I have work in the morning. Gregg said.

"Its fine, and if you do want to help Angus we will probably start around eight thirty. Bea said.

Ok, well I'll see you tomorrow ladies. Angus said, tipping his hat before walking out the door.

Mae gave off a happy sigh of relief. "We did it Bea, we finally got out of that dumb town."

"Yeah, we sure did." Bea yawned as she got in a comfortable position.

"Sorry, I'll go get on the couch so you can sleep. Mae said as she started to stand up.

"It's fine Mae, you can sleep here if you want."

"You sure?"

"If you want. I mean that couch isn't the most comfortable thing to sleep on." Bea said, as she began to doze off.

Mae began to lay back down. Shortly after she too began to fall asleep. As the two slept the night went by, and the sun had risen yet again. It was seven in the morning and Bea's alarm went off. It was soft but loud enough to wake her up, as she did not want to wake her friend sleeping beside her. She turned it off and sat up and stretched. Once Bea was fully awake she began sorting the boxes with all their stuff. After she was done with that, she heard a knock on the door.

"I'll get it." Mae mumbled, as she began to get up, still half asleep. She made her way to the door, trying not to trip on furniture in the process. Mae opened the door and saw Angus with a plate of his famous brownies.

"Hey guys, I hope I'm not early."

"Not at all." Bea said walking over to greet the bear.

"Good, well I made you guys some brownies for breakfast."

"Oh my god no way." Mae said happily, she always thought Angus's brownies were the best.

"Hey Mae, could you save me some this time." Bea asked.

"Yeah yeah, I promise I won't eat them all this time."

After they ate, everyone began unboxing furniture. Angus helped move certain furniture upstairs in the bedroom. Afterwards they began rearranging furniture where the wanted it, and the out together the coffee table. Then last but not least, they started decorating the place. Putting up photos of family and stuff. Once they finished they gave off a happy sigh. It really felt like home.
