Lying on his bed, looking at a picture of Kurt on his phone, Blaine reasons with himself that if does what his parents ask, then he can show it won't work and that him and Kurt are the future.
The next morning, Blaine gets dressed with his favorite bowtie and heads off to school. He made sure to text Kurt ahead of time to let him know that they needed to talk.
When he gets to school, Kurt is already there, waiting for him in the parking lot. "What's wrong?" Kurt asked, "You only text me when you don't want to talk to me but have to."
"Nothing is wrong. I have an issue that I wanted to talk to you about first, so you would understand."
"You have an issue? Is it with me? Blaine, no, please, we are good together, please?" Kurt started to shake with the possibility that Blaine may leave him.
"Kurt, relax, it is not an issue with you, well not entirely." Blaine stops and sighs. "I am doing this all wrong, please let me talk." Blaine lifts his hands to Kurt in a calming manner while Kurt is still having the shakes and folding his arms across his chest.
"Okay, Blaine, please go ahead and talk", says Kurt with a sarcastic tone on the please.
"Okay, I was talking to my parents last night and I came out to them."
"Oh my, Blaine, that is great", Kurt exclaimed.
"Kurt, please. Let me finish."
"Okay, but I don't see an issue, I think it is great you came out to your parents", said Kurt.
"Kurt."
"Okay, sorry, please finish", Kurt said apologetically.
"After I came out to them", Blaine started, "they argued that I was only saying I was a homosexual because of my past experience with Rachel."
"Please, Rachel was nothing. Geez Blaine, you were drunk most of those times and when you weren't and kissed, you decided you were definitely homosexual" Kurt exclaimed. Kurt, looking like a deflated balloon, started tearing up.
"Please Kurt; beyond not telling my parents that we were all drinking, I tried to explain to my parents how much I care for you. I told them that I loved you."
"So what is the issue?" Kurt questioned.
"My parents would like me to try at least once more to find someone I can be compatible with."
Kurt staring at Blaine with a confused yet angry look, "what does that mean? Compatible?"
"They want me to go out again with another girl. They think my relationship with Rachel is what caused me to want to be with you."
"That's ridiculous!" Kurt exclaimed, "I mean, well, any relationship with Rachel is hard to handle, but, in this case, it didn't work, because it wasn't supposed to. You are supposed to be with me Blaine."
"I know that, but I have to respect my parents!"
"Screw your parents Blaine" Kurt yelled.
Blaine quickly looks around, "Kurt please lower your voice".
"No, I will not lower my voice", Kurt yelled again, "I don't understand why you are bending to your parents."
"Please, can't you just understand?"
"No. I can't", Kurt said, in a hurtful tone, "I'm leaving. Why don't you call me when you decide to get a spine!" Kurt turns and walks away from Blaine and heads towards the school. Blaine watches Kurt and slowly follows.
"I'm sorry Kurt", Blaine states under his breath.
In the school, tension is high. Kurt ignores Blaine and even thinks about skipping chorus and Glee club due to Blaine, but goes anyways. As Blaine walks in, Kurt gives an audible sigh and turns, chair and all away from Blaine.
The others in the room see this and start wondering what is wrong, usually Kurt and Blaine sit together, sing together, do everything together.
Finn notices how Kurt looks angry and upset and goes to talk to him. "Kurt, what's wrong?"
"Blaine is allowing his parents to run his life for him, that's all" Kurt says in an annoyed tone. "He's a jerk, and right now, I wish he would just go away." Kurt said the last part loud enough for the entire room to hear and everyone starts to stare at both Kurt and Blaine, heads going back and forth like a tennis match.
"I'll leave if you want me to. I understand I made you upset. I'm sorry."
At this time, Mr. Schue comes in to the classroom and the lesson starts. As Blaine doesn't like leaving and disrupting the class, he sits down in a chair at the opposite side of the room.
Class finally ends, after hearing songs from Rachel and Finn about love and Blaine attempts to speak to Kurt again, but Kurt practically runs out of the room.
As the room empties out, Finn asks Rachel to leave him alone with Blaine for a second. Rachel leaves, looking confused. She knows Blaine and Kurt seem to be having a fight, but she doesn't get what Finn can do to help.
"What happened between you and Kurt" Finn asked in a hushed voice. Even with the room emptied, Finn knows that voices carry.
"It's really not your place or your business. This is between me and him."
"Well I think it is my place since Kurt is my brother" Finn retorted.
"Just leave it alone!"
Blaine attempts to leave the room, but Finn blocks him.
"Please let me pass" Blaine requests in a fallen voice.
"Can you just explain to me what happened, I hate seeing Kurt upset", Finn stated.
"Fine, in a nutshell, my parents asked me to try to go to out with a girl again. They don't want to accept me as I am. I agreed, knowing that in the end, I'd be with Kurt. He didn't accept it."
"Man, that is rough" Finn said. "Do you know how you are going to do it?"
"Right now, no. I hate this situation."
Finn and Blaine leave the room as the warning bell rings.
