So here it is. The lack of dialogue makes my chapters short. Tomorrow I will probably write the rest of the episode.
Clare was agitated. It was as though everything she'd thought she'd known about herself had been ripped apart and rewritten at the most basic of levels. She was different around him. She felt as though she could be the Clare that had always wanted a chance to breathe, the Clare that her desire to please her parents had smothered for so many years. She'd spent so much time trying to make her parents and teachers proud that she hadn't ever had a chance to find herself.
Eli Goldsworthy. It was all because of him. When he had convinced her to scream at the top of her lungs in front of random strangers she had wondered why she did it. But not for a second had she regretted it. He brought out something different in her. That day had been her best in ages.
Something had had happened in that moment. In the moment where she'd laughed and he'd smiled and everything had been amazing. But she was afraid. And she'd pulled away. When she saw him the next day he was the same infuriating, sarcastic, blunt, charming, gorgeous guy. And when she'd stood in front of the class, about to burst into tears, the look in his eyes had offered her a glimmer of happiness. It was as though he could make everything okay.
Tomorrow I will write the rest of the episode into the next chapter and from there maybe branch off from the plot a little bit. The next chapter will likely be more third person than Clare. Especially for the headphones scene.
