Chapter 2
Stacy faces her father
Disclaimer: I do not own TJ Hooker, its characters, or the places mentioned. I only own the names made up. Growing Pains, the show, has nothing to do with TJ Hooker.
A/N: Sort of AU. This is going to be a series.
Stacy looked up as her dad stepped in, and then looked back down. She couldn't even look at him. She was ashamed of being in the precinct, in this predicament. She wasn't even certain how she was going to get out of it.
Sheridan stepped over to the table and yanked off the obvious wig, the girl was wearing. "Stacy!? Are you telling me that you are a part of this gang?"
Stacy looked up at her dad, and shook her head. "No, daddy, I'm not a part of this gang. I go skating with a few of my friends that are my age. The older kids happen to show up where we are. They bring the music. Please, daddy believe me."
"So, you are telling me that you are not drinking or smoking. If I were to do a breathalyzer on you right now, you'd blow a zero."
Stacy nodded. "Yes, daddy. I have not had any liquor. Just soda and water. I've never smoked a cigarette in my life. Daddy, you and Uncle TJ have taught me right."
"Where are your skates, Stacy?"
Looking down at the table, and whispering. "Uncle T. J.'s got them, daddy. He took them from me, once we got here." Gulping. "Daddy, what all has Uncle T. J. told you? Am I going to be charged with anything?"
"Stacy, the only thing Hooker told me was that you were asking for your mother." Shakes head. "We'll talk about that later. No, you are not being charged with anything. You are being given a warning, and you are going to Hooker's house. You will stay there until I get off of work."
"Daddy, please⦠I just wanted to spend time with kids my own age. I wasn't trying to get into trouble."
"Stacy, we'll talk about this later. I have to drop you off at Hooker's house, and then I need to return to work. There is to be no television, tonight. If you haven't finished your homework, finish it. If you have, I want you studying. I will determine later how long that restriction will last."
Dennis drove Stacy to Hooker's house. "You listen to Fran, if she tells you to do something, you do it. Am I understood?"
Stacy nods, starting to cry again. "Yes, daddy. I understand. I understand a lot." She said as she opened the car door, to get out.
Dennis dropped the cop voice. "Sweetie, we'll talk. Really talk, but later. I promise. Right now, I have to return to work. Just no more misbehaving."
Stacy shakes her head. "Always the cop. Why can't I just have my daddy?" She said as she turned away.
