Second chapter and I hope you enjoy. Although someone out there likes to leave hate reviews on every new thing I post. Oh well, if you're reading this I'm clearly not about to stop writing my fics and I'm SERIOUSLY not about to kill myself lol! Stop posting the hate stuff and move on to something you enjoy reading. Just because I support SasuNaru and you don't, doesn't mean we have to be nasty to each other. People who do that make this world more corrupt than it already is and I don't think we need that going around any more than we already have. This is just for my stress relief, SasuNaru supporters enjoyment, and for my FOLLOWERS to enjoy. If you're a SasuNaru hater, why the hell are you here anyway?!
Sasuke walked out of the living room and back into the busy streets of the village. Heaving a big sigh and taking a moment to collect his thoughts, he began to slowly walk towards the Hokage Tower where the busty woman Naruto considered a grandmother resided. Being at the Hokage Tower on your day off wasn't something Sasuke liked to do but he would do anything for his Naruto and right now, he needed to speak to his 'grandmother'. Two of the ANBU guards at the door welcomed him in and told him to have a seat in the hallway and wait before their leader could speak to him. The wait shouldn't have been long as Sasuke was the only one sitting outside of the door. Ten minutes passed and finally, Tsunade's assistant Shizune told Sasuke he could see the Hokage. Tsunade looked up from her desk when she saw Sasuke coming towards her and she leaned back in her chair in mild surprise.
"Don't you get enough of this place when you come in for missions? What do you want brat?"
"I need to ask you something about Naruto."
"Naruto? What about my brat? Is he alright? Spill it Uchiha or so help me, I'll give Naruto a reason to not be alright!"
"He's fine for the most part; he's been acting strange for a few weeks but I know the reason behind it. I actually wanted to ask you about a more…personal matter concerning Naruto."
"If its personal then the only reason I can come up with for you coming to me is that you have some problems down south. I may be a doctor, Uchiha but I don't think you had to come to me at the Hokage Tower for this. You could have just made an appointment at the hospital."
"I don't have any problems with what is in my pants and for your information my sex life with Naruto is awesome! I wanted to ask you something that could ultimately affect both my life and Naruto's."
The blonde, honey-eyed woman leaned forward and placed her elbows on the table. Interlacing her fingers and placing her mouth on her hands, she studied Sasuke for any signs of trickery. Finding none, she sighed and dropped her hands onto the desk so that they were folded on top of each other.
"Fine, what did you want to ask me?"
"I…I wanted to ask you if I could ask Naruto to marry me."
Tsunade's jaw dropped and, like Kakashi, her eyes widened considerably. Shizune gasped and her hands flew up to her mouth in surprise. Sasuke looked at the two women in boredom and the focused his gaze back to Tsunade.
"Well this is surprising. I just thought that you would ask Naruto and worry about what I had to say later."
"I would have done that if Kakashi hadn't told me that the gentlemanly thing to do was ask for permission from Naruto's closest people."
"So you thought asking me was a good choice. I have to say, I'm impressed with you. You seem to be taking this quite seriously."
"I am serious about this; I've been with him for three years and I know that he's the only one I could ever want. Now do I have your permission or not?"
"I've seen how happy you make the brat, so if I were to say no I can only imagine how upset he'll be. So yes, you can ask him to marry you. Is that all you wanted?"
"No. I have an idea of how I can propose to him but since I don't think there will be any storms by his birthday I can't do what I want."
"You wanted to propose in a storm?"
"He loves storms; almost as much as he loves this village."
"I read the files that the Third Hokage kept on Naruto…I know all about his history from when he was seven until he was nine."
"I thought the Third didn't keep any records about that?"
"Oh no, he did. Sarutobi-sensei seemed to favor the boy out of the rest of you brats from your generation. He kept a very close eye on Naruto after that incident."
"Does the file say who hurt Naruto?" Sasuke asked in an angry tone. He was still upset that Naruto hadn't pressed any charges against those people who would beat him and tear him down mentally when he was young. The memories may have been suppressed but that never meant that the trauma hadn't affected Naruto in the long run of things.
"As a matter of fact it does."
"Can you tell me who they are?!"
"I will not, but I can tell you that they have been dealt with. I saw to that myself as soon as I saw the file."
"That's not fair! Tell me who they are and I'll deal with them my own way!"
"I'm afraid that's not possible, Sasuke."
"And why not?!"
"Lady Tsunade had them sent to Blood Prison for the kidnapping and torture of a child six years ago. Once someone is sent to that place the only way to hear from them again is if the village decides to take them back or if we get reports that they were killed in the time they were there," Shizune explained.
"Have you gotten any reports on them?"
"No, we haven't but I have told the warden there to let me know as soon as possible if anything were to change."
"I'll settle with that for now, but ultimately I'm not happy."
"Now that you know about that, what were you going to ask me about the proposal?"
"Right, since I don't think I'll be able to propose to him like I want, I want to know if you had any idea about how I should do it."
"Other than the storm idea, did you have anything else in mind?"
"Not really…I know that I don't want it to be typical but I also don't think he would appreciate it being really over-the-top."
"You have a point. My brat isn't really one for big showy events."
"Kakashi basically told me to do what Sai did when he proposed to Sakura but I shot that down as soon as he said it."
"If you want, I can give the two of you vacation for his birthday and send you off to some island resort. I'm sure that he'll be happy to visit the Land of the Moon again."
"If you want to send him on vacation that's fine but I don't think it would be a good place for me to propose to him. He may think that it was all set up by the two of us and he may not take it as a good thing."
"Well if that's what you think I can't really say anything about it. Shizune, do you have any suggestions?"
The woman blushed a bit at being asked a question like that but closed her eyes in thought nonetheless. Sasuke and Tsunade were both waiting for her answer when all of a sudden Shizune yelled 'ah-ha!' and turned towards Sasuke.
"What is Naruto's favorite season beside when it storms?"
"He likes the spring because that's when he can start gardening again and he likes it when he can be outside with a light jacket instead of the heavy winter attire I make him wear."
"Well, if you want to be patient for a while longer, you could try leaving him notes around the house and go on a treasure hunt for the ring! You can hide the box in one of the empty pots he has for when he starts planting!"
"That's all well and good but we're almost in the middle of July and I really don't want to wait another year to have a ring on his finger. If I could do it before his birthday it would be ideal."
"What about asking him to marry you as your birthday present?"
"I think he would feel obliged to say yes if I asked him on my birthday."
"Well, that is a good point."
"Why don't you try asking Iruka about this Sasuke? I'm sure he would know what Naruto would like," Tsunade said.
"I plan to ask him for his permission as well but Kakashi said that he wouldn't be back until ten tonight because the academy students were on a survival trip."
"Well you don't have to have your answer today do you? I'm sure you'll think of something. Now then, if you have it with you let me see the ring."
"Umm…I haven't exactly…picked the ring yet."
"You mean to tell me that you know how you want to propose but you have no idea what ring you're going to get him?! Sasuke Uchiha that is just beyond pathetic!"
"Naruto isn't really one for expensive things but I also know that he wouldn't want something plain. I've looked in jewelry stores for the past six months and I've found nothing that he would like."
"Have you gone looking in other villages?"
"I've looked every time I've been out on a mission lately, but again I find nothing."
"Why don't you just have something custom made? I'm sure that if it's for Naruto the shinobi in the Land of Stone will gladly make something for him," Shizune chimed in again.
"I would do that but I'm pretty sure that Naruto would suspect something if I left for the three weeks it takes to travel there and back again. Not to mention the waiting time it would take to have the ring completed."
"I can send a messenger hawk with a description of what you want in a letter to the Tsuchikage. It's because of Naruto that we have treaties with each of the great nations now and I'm positive that he'll do what you want. Naruto is favored by each of the Kage now if you don't already know that."
"I know, trust me. I still don't like Gaara being so close to him when he visits."
"They are just friends Uchiha, let it go."
"I'll let it go when that bastard stops inviting Naruto out to the bar, alone, every time he's here!"
"How Naruto hasn't killed you for that possessive streak I will never know, but to each his own I guess. Now do you want me to send the Tsuchikage a note about your ring or do you want to just keep looking for one?"
Sasuke sighed lightly and bit the inside of his cheek in contemplation. If he sent for a custom ring then he would have exactly what he wanted for Naruto, but the downside was that it could take too long to have ready. On the other hand, he could just keep searching for the perfect ring and pop the question as soon as it was it its' box. The only problem with that is that he searched jewelry stores for months all over the place and he hasn't managed to find anything that was worthy of his dobe's finger. Sasuke sighed again and answered Tsunade.
"Let me talk to Iruka later tonight or tomorrow and I'll give you my answer then. Does that sound fair? I may have yours and Kakashi's blessings but Iruka is like Naruto's father and if he says no then all of this will be pointless."
"Fair enough, but I'll have a hawk on stand-by for you anyway. Go home now, it's going to be dinner time soon and even I know what Naruto is like if anybody is late for meals."
Sasuke bowed to the Hokage and her assistant before he left the tower and made his way back home. He hadn't realized that he had already been out of the house for the better part of four hours. Stopping by the grocery store to pick up some things that he thought they needed around the house, Sasuke walked back to his home where the love of his life was waiting for him.
And there you have it, the second chapter! You won't have to wait long for the next chapter either but I'm hoping that this is still interesting you guys. Admittedly it's not as good as 'Thunderstorm' but I'm trying my best here!
