The next morning was one full of strife for Ahsoka. She awoke with a headache and the feeling of exhaustion that one gets after a night full of bad dreams. Her adventure out into CoCo town had proved successful enough. She sat up on the edge of her bed and took her time stretching. In the center of the floor a pile of ashes lay. Late into the night she had removed her Jedi garments and burned them. It seemed fitting for after all this was the tradition practiced at the death of a Jedi. It was only logical that at the metaphorical death of the Jedi Ahsoka Tano, all her Jedi belongings would die as well. Though this was a tough decision to make she had done it.

She now wore a much more conspicuous set of clothes. Her usually exposed midriff was now covered by a dark grey tunic with a snug fit. Of course her arms had remained uncovered for the most part. She had added some fingerless gloves for minimal protection. The gloves reached up a little bit past the elbow and were of similar shade and consistency to her new tunic. She missed her old Jedi clothes the moment she changed out of them. But she knew that a new life meant new appearances. It would not be right for her to keep the clothes of an order she no longer belonged to.

Gilad Pellaeon had once commented about his disapproval for the somewhat revealing clothes she wore. Ahsoka of course had retorted at least somewhat about the significance her clothes had. No they weren't Togruta clothes in the explicit sense, but they were hers. Many a Jedi felt it was important to have some sense of individuality in their attire. She was too much of an individual to ever be accepted by her people. Her training had brought much self-reflection and distance from attachment. She was well aware that because of this she would never be a member of a Togruta pack. Still her garments were important to her. And although she was now toning down the level of her expression they were still her own.

She still maintained her preference for leggings. They offered comfort and flexibility where pants or a heavy robe could not. The Jedi did not have a uniform. Jedi or not Ahsoka was no longer bound to those restrictions. Yet no interest had arisen in pursuing anything she once considered out of the question. Perhaps it was a matter of time. For logical reasons there was no real pull or attraction to outlandish clothing. They would not be suitable for the missions that Ahsoka was considering. Nor would they suit her personal philosophy. There were so many changes and they were all happening so fast. She felt pulled in many directions at once. The only thing she knew for certain was that her future rested in discovering more about the Force.

The Force was the only constant in her life. No matter what it would never leave her. The Force would never abandon her. So the Force is what Ahsoka Tano had decided to seek out. Where in the galaxy to begin was beyond her. Yet, the issue of a lack of lightsabers seemed to be the most pressing one. Ahsoka finished stretching and packed what little possessions she now owned. She was still growing accustomed to her new utility belt. She was still growing accustomed to everything new in her life. She often expected Anakin to be at her side or to critique her actions or stature. Who knew she would ever miss his constant digs and teasing.

But now was not the time for mourning or reminiscing painful memories. Now was the time of departure. It was still somewhat early in the morning and many flights would be available for her to choose from. Ahsoka looked back over at the small room she had resided in for the night. With a wave of her hand and a little help from the Force she scattered the ashes across the room. 'Sorry for the mess' she thought as she turned and closed the door behind her. She again went down the stairs of the Dewback Inn and gave a polite wave to the owner. The owner looked weary standing behind the messy bar. He offered her what may have been a smile for his species and she departed from the building.

Although it was still somewhat early the streets were full of Coruscanti of every shape, size, color, and species. Ahsoka donned the hood of her new maroon cloak and began her journey towards the Galactic City civilian port. Ships from across the galaxy gathered here. Across the galaxy they would go. Ahsoka considered her future destination. She strolled along the pathways and past many ships and ports. The main issue now with transportation was not getting killed. Even on Coruscant finding an affordable ride would be hard without bunking with a criminal. Not to mention she did not even have clue where she would be going!

'Think Snips think,' she thought to herself, 'Ilum is the main planet used for all the harvesting of lightsaber crystals these past few years. There's no way you can go there. What about Dantooine...well it's got the Crystal Cave...they stopped using it because of the pests but hey you can handle that...' Ahsoka grinned to a slight degree. Dantooine would do. Now came the exciting challenge of finding a ship.

She walked up to one of the digitized information stands and consulted the traffic regimen. There were only three flights headed towards Dantooine over the course of the entire day. The first was part of a lavish space tour for newlyweds. 'That's out of the question' she thought as she rolled her eyes. The space huddle was growing more crowded. A quick-paced Barabel jostled Ahsoka as he hurried by. He didn't even take the time to turn around. He just growled slightly and disappeared once more. Ahsoka returned to the traffic regimen and inspected the second and third possible flights to Dantooine. The second appeared as a junker flight meant to collect trash of the planet quickly before dispersing it at another location. Chances were that this flight had the best chance of working out. Well, it would work out if the pilot was in a generous mood.

The last flight to Dantooine held no information on its specifics. The only thing listed was its name. 'That's concerning,' her mind commented, 'who knows what sort of flight that might be. Well Snips you've got two possible options. What you need to do now is go investigate and make your way onto one of them.' Ahsoka sighed. She stared at the two port numbers. The junker flight was docked nearby at port B7. The mystery flight was not too far off either. If it came to it Ahsoka knew the journey from port B7 to dock D31 would not be too difficult. Checking to make sure none of her belongings had been lost, she left the digital information stand.

Ahsoka kept her glance downwards as she walked. Occasionally she glanced at the port numbers to make sure she was travelling in the right direction. Her new clothes had made a difference. She no longer warranted strange glances or stares from passersby. Of course that might also have to do with the fact that everyone around her was busy and concerned with their own travels. Either way it felt much nicer to not be the center of attention. As she walked she heard clips here and there from the odd HoloNet screen. Reports of the war, overly positive news hosts, and bits of game shows faded in and out as she passed each new screen. But just as she passed port A54 her own name caught her attention. A small gang had gathered around this particular HoloNet screen and were staring at the lovely Twi'lek reporter speaking in front of an image of Ahsoka's face.

"In other news more information on the Bombing of the Jedi Temple Hangar has developed. The original suspect, Ahsoka Tano, has been found to be not guilty," here a few murmurs amongst the crowd arose, "Two nights ago the young Jedi learner was found not guilty near the end of her trial. It has been revealed to us at the Republic HoloNews Network that the perpetrator of the crime was discovered. Barriss Offee, another Jedi, was found guilty of the bombing as well as framing Ahsoka Tano for the crime!" The Twi'lek looked at her human co host and shook her head sadly. The man spoke next,

"Wow you really feel bad for her huh folks? Imagine being framed and almost convicted for a crime you didn't commit!" Several of the listeners seemed quite surprised at the news but everyone present paid attention to his next words. "While we have no information on what the sentence for Offee is it has been brought to our attention that all civilians should be advised: if you see Ahsoka Tano do not harm her or attempt to arrest her. She is guilty of no crime." Both the Twi'lek and the human male looked very somber for a moment before announcing a commercial break.

The crowd split and Ahsoka remained frozen for a moment. It was hard to be watching the world around her reporting on the life she was still accepting. The pain of betrayal from Barriss dug deep in the back of her mind. With watery eyes she turned from the HoloNet screen and dispersing crowd and continued towards port B7. She felt like hiding and pulling her cloak closer around her but she knew that would only draw more attention to her. She paused for a moment outside of the entry to the port that held the junker flight. The back door to the ship was open and several packing droids were loading trash canisters onto the ship. Overhead a few sparks showered down from the work of one maintenance droid. In the depths of the ship Ahsoka thought she heard some frustrated Rodese and found this confirmed moments later when a Rodian stormed out of the ship.

She removed her hood when the Rodian froze at the sight of her.

"Whoz are youz?" he asked impatiently in accented Basic as Ahsoka approached him cautiously.

"My name is Ahsoka Tano. I'm here to inquire about the possibility of me joining you on your flight?" The brow of the bright green Rodian furrowed for a moment.

"No no youz Tano. Youz not come on my ship! This is junker flight! Why youz wanna come on it huh? Youz gunna steal from me? Too bad Tano all I have is garbage hah show youz!" the Rodian said tauntingly.

"No sir I don't want to steal from you I-"

"Yeah Tano? Why youz wanna go on junker flight then huh?"

"I am trying to take a flight to Dantooine. The flight traffic regimen said that that was your next stop. I was hoping that you would allow me to go with you there-"

"Uh uh Tano. Why youz wanna go to Dantooine huh? That no Togruta homeworld youz know. Tano youz stupid?" Ahsoka felt frustrated. In Rodese she quipped,

"I'm not stupid! I would like to go to Dantooine because I have something there I need to do. I am looking for something." The Rodian seemed impressed as her ability to speak some Rodese. He gestured to his ship,

"Imma Feevo Tanwa. This be my junker ship. I willa take youz to Dantooine Tano. Youz speak Rodese pretty okay. Any Tano speak Rodese is okay with Feevo. But youz gunna pay?" Feevo smiled and rubbed his webbed Rodian hands together. Of course the junker would want some profit off of this.

"I can pay you 300 creds and 2 decicreds at best Feevo," Ahsoka said digging around for the remainder of her credits, "but I would be happy to help you load and unload these trash canisters if you allow me to come on your flight." The Rodian grinned as wide as he had since their conversation began.

"Whya Tano youz smart girl huh? Youz help would be greatly appreciated. These droids is no good. Theya not do their job too nice. 300 creds good. Good money plus youz help yeah?" Ahsoka smiled and nodded. One of the lifting droids tripped over the remaining pile of trash canisters.

"See whata I mean Tano? Droids no good. Stupid UW-82!" Feevo kicked the droid halfheartedly.

Ahsoka smiled softly to herself and picked up three of the trash canisters with ease. Much to the amazement of the Rodian shae carried them onto his ship without a problem.

"Tano youz a very strong for youz size!" Feevo complimented her. She nodded and grabbed the remaining two canisters. She loaded them into the back of the ship while Feevo checked things off his list. He held his Viewscreen tablet in his left hand and began rattling off facts to his new crewmember.
"Ita be nice to have youz Tano. See I make this route every other Zhellday. Itsa not always the most funz route. Nice for company sometimes huh?" Feevo chuckled and scrolled through his information. "Ya knowz Tano youz look sorta familiar. Whatsa up with that huh?"

"I've been on the news lately," she said softly. She was concerned about how he might treat her if he looked into it. His large Rodian eyes grew wider.

"Oh man Tano is youz a star? Youz famous huh?" Ahsoka shook her head.

"I got in trouble Feevo. I got in trouble for something I didn't do." He tipped his head to one side.

"Oh...is thata why youz trying to leave? Youz got in trouble? Youz aint gunna cause mez trouble huh? Feevo no want trouble."

"No Feevo I won't cause you trouble. I am leaving because of the trouble. But I won't cause you any." Feevo looked at her with an almost sympathetic look. He put his Viewscreen down.

"Okay Tano. I believe youz. Welcome aboard the SJ Zephyr. It is only okay ship. Pretty fastz for her model though huh? So...youz wanna go to Dantooine. Youz sure?" Ahsoka nodded. "Okayz Tano youz give me those creds and I willz take you to Dantooine. Youz help load when we arrivez though huh?"

"Sure thing Feevo," she smiled as she handed him most of the credits she had. Feevo took them and counted them out. He nodded his approval as his Rodian antenna bounced slightly with the movement of his head.

"Okayz Tano wez set to go!" Feevo said. He showed her a seat in the middle of the junker at an old beat up table. He picked up his Viewscreen tablet once more and whistled a Rodese tune as he moved to the cockpit. The junker shuddered slightly when Feevo started the engine and the back door of the junker sealed up. There were only a few shabby windows in the back of the Zephyr and they were all very smudged. The ship slowly began its departure from port B7. It disconnected from the loading gear and made its careful entrance to departing Coruscanti air traffic.

As the ship slowly but surely followed the path in a spiral upwards Ahsoka quietly looked out the small window right next to where she was sitting. She and Feevo circled the main areas of Coruscant several times. Longingly she stared at the Jedi Temple as it grew further and further away. She could still see the scorch marks from where the bomb had exploded. She recalled how she and Anakin had investigated so tirelessly. How they tracked down Letta and thought for sure they had it all figured out. Although she did not want to remember the memory of Letta being Force-choked to death flitted across her mind as well. Barriss had done that. Letta was not innocent but she certainly did not deserve such a cruel death. 'The galaxy is a cruel place Ahsoka' she reminded herself. The Jedi Temple grew smaller and smaller until she could no longer see it. Soon enough they had left the Coruscanti atmosphere. Ahsoka stared out the window at the planet she had called her home for so long. Suddenly Feevo appeared in the doorway.
"Okay Tano wez gunna jump to hyperspace now. Youz done that beforez huh?" She nodded silently as she continued to look out the window. "Youz leaving someone important behind?" Feevo asked softly. Ahsoka looked at him with a sad and lonely smile.

"Yeah Feevo. I'm leaving a lot of important someone's behind."
