His Queen, Huntress

Chapter Two:

Her Noble, Ponder

-Ciel's Point of View-

Making sure no one was lingering inside or around the classroom I walk towards MY butler.

"Young Master, I must say it is very entertaining to see you competing with a mortal." Scoffing I chew on this thing called 'bubble gum.' I must admit this era is very confusing. The clothes, the intrests, dont even get me STARTED on the electronics. Even the school work was more complicated then what I had to go through back in London. "I am not competing with Lady Agnes. I am simply 'lending a hand' as you put it. Besides she got the problem right."

"Oh so SHE's the one you've formed a contract with. How amusing. I never would have thought the upbeat pop star would need to turn towards demons. I thought that thing they called 'money' fixed all there problems." Thats what I had thought when I first met her. Blowing a bubble my eyes give a eye roll to the omnipotent butler.

"Anyways Sebastian, I have a job for you." S

ebastian's eyes widned slightly and his mouth forms a perfect 'O'. "You havent called on me in a while." He says.

It was true. After a few decades, I pretty much lived alone. I learned to do things for myself. Which was harder than I could have possibly ever imagined but I did it. Once in a while though I would call on him. I did it because…well, come on, he was THERE when I transformed into a demon sending him into this curse and when I took revenge for my parents.

"Yes remind me that I am slacking. Anyways this is what I need you to do. Look up Lady Agnes and tell me everything you find. More specifically, before her mother was murdered." Sebastian bows with a quick 'Yes, My Lord' and I head towards the music room. Our contract informing me that my next meal was there.

-Music Room-

As I listned to the Lady's voice, I wonder what made her want to sing. Don't get me wrong, she has a beautiful voice, but she seemed to hate it. One time I asked her about it and she went all emo for the next four days.

Glancing around the corner Lady Agnes is dancing. I suddenly wanted to know if Sebastian would proceed to have a heart attack. But as I watched her move gracefully like a feline, it looked amazing. This type of dancing was fascinating. In my era, dancing was spinning in a circle, bowing, then spinning the other way. After a while I let my presence be known.

"Lady Agnes, lunch is about to end. Shouldn't you get something to settle you untill dinner begins?" She stopped dancing and smirked. I try to recall if Ive ever seen her smile. I dont think that I have.

"I'm fine, thank you. Besides ever scince Ive had your cooking I cant eat anyone elses." The compliment actually caught me off guard. Bowing graciously I give her a smirk of my own.

"Thank you, Mi'lady. I do not deserve such praise. I am simply doing what is to be expected." She laughs quietly, her silver hair ruffling a bit at her shaking shoulders. I give a small chuckle myself.

The bell rings and students start filing into the classroom so we stand next to the piano. Away from everyone.

Sebastian walks in- yes he is the music teacher as well- along with Mrs. Mechellis. And yes, the incompotent butler is married. The woman's name is Titania and she's neither demon nor human. That's a diffrent story for another time I suppose.

"Class, Mrs. Mechellis will be helping us today so I expect you to be very respectful." The class muttered lines under the phrase 'yes, sir' or a 'thank you Mrs. Mechellis.'. "Sebastian you have these kids talking like machines. Kids I know how you feel! When this guy was teaching me Latin I think I had an anyereasm at his strictness." The class laughed and the demon glared at his wife.

We performed a simple excersise which had to be tested like a hypothesis. Can a alto and soprano break a glass singing together? I had no idea. Guess will find out soon. Of coarse Sebastian put Lady Agnes and I on the same team.

The day after our contract was formed, Lady Agnes created a cover story for when we were out in public. And of coarse we were, because of her status. She is the world's biggest pop star and her father is a world class Egyptologist. Anywho, the cover story is that I was an old childhood friend from Monte Carlo and we had not seen each other in two years so I flew here to stay here for a few months. Of coarse rumors spreaded like wild fire. Things like a childhood romance has blossomed and other perpoustrous nonsense. Tabloids even went as far to say that I was a young member of her father's cult! Note that I soecifically said the rumor claimed that I was in the cult. That's the rumor.

The cult was real.

Titania explained the excersise but I zoned out as she instructed the altos to and I quote "Lover-Boy" (I will snicker at Sebastian for eternity on that one) and sopranos with her. After they assigned a third party to the previously called partners the excersise got started.

Our third partner and alto was a girl named Jessica-Mey. She had red hair stuck in two pigtails, contact lenses and freckles. She was a bit on the chubby side but I wouldn't dare say fat. She reminded me so much of Mey-Rin that I had to smile a bit. Lady Agnes waved and Jessica-Mey gave a quiet hello.

I realized I missed her and my other servants.
