Switching to first person POV because it's easier to write ~Terino

"I'll join your guild. In exchange for whatever resources and information you have that could help me find Zeref," I repeated, in a loud, clear voice, making sure even the smallest of animals over the loudest of noises could hear me.

"What makes you think we need you to join?" Gray retorted, trying to hide his disgust with a smug smirk.

"You ought to. When you find out what happened to your "comrades" back home," I said, arrogantly.

"What did you do to them?!" Gildarts yelled, enraged.

"Nothing."

"Maa... Maa... everyone calm down. How could you treat a new recruit like that?" Makarov finally made another sound. Gildarts turned his head over to the master.

"B-but this woman!" He stuck out a scarred, plump finger out, right. In. My. Face.

I closed my eyes, supressing the anger boiling up from the pit of my gut. I reached out with my slender hand, closing it around Gildarts'.

"Ventilabis!"

Gildarts was hit with a force that could snap millions of bones put together. But because he's Gildarts, not all of his did. He shot up towards a tree, his hand slipping out of my grasp with ease.

"Cck!" A sound was made as his back broke in half.

"Conplexus!" I made my hand into a fist. A ear-piercing groan escaped Gildarts' mouth.

"Don't be rude to me."

"Tch!" Natsu spat on the ground. "You don't be rude to Gildarts!"

"You wanna fight?"

"That poker-face of yours is pissing me off!" Natsu went at me with a fireball in his fist.

"Shaddup. Keep those thoughts to yourself!" I said, calmly. "Restringo," I whispered.

Natsu's fireball froze in midair - so did Natsu himself. His look of surprise on his face caused a few guild members to break out in a fit of giggles.

"OI! Don't be laughing! Help me out here!" Natsu yelled out in rage, flames bursting wildly out of his mouth.

"Roger!" Lucy shouted back, her grin full of confidence. "Open! The gate of the lion, Leo!"

Leo stepped through the magic gate, a bright light surrounding his silhouette.

"How can I be of service, Lucy?" Leo bowed deeply, arm at his tucked under his waist, eyes closed, as if settling in bliss.

He opened his left eye to a slit, and took a peek at me. Leo straightened himself up, and leaned towards my body. "Now now, who is this beautiful lady? Are you possibly a friend of Lucy's? I haven't seen you in the guild before..." He whispered into my ear, his breath sending chills up my neck.

"I-I'm V-Veilia De Fr-Francoise..." I started mumbling to myself, face reddening. It's been so long since I had a boy so close to me.

Wait.

When was the last time again...?

I can't remember...

Why can't I?

My eyelids dropped as my body went limp in the darkness that was pulling me in...
