Dads And Boys Chapter 2

"I am a man with refined tastes" Virgil Scott said as he walked into the kitchen for some water. "Oh really not from what I just heard?" Virgil Tracy said whose interest was now perked. "It was just one of those talks yeah know Virg?" Scott said as he sat down on the couch putting his feet. "Which one's" Virgl asked already having a slight idea at what it might be after seeing that dreaded smirk on Scott's face. "You probably feel like the greatest man in the world right bro" Virgil asked Scott as he made his way into the kitchen for something to drink. Pursuing his drink from within the fridge Virgil then said "It was about boys wasn't it?" Scott spat his water out rather than choke on it.

Virgil just laughed as he came back into the room. Wiping his mouth on his sleeve of his shirt Scott watched closely as Virgil re enter the room. Getting his voice back Scott glared at Virgil and said "You really know how to bring any man's hopes down."Virgil knew that feeling one minute you feel like your on top of the world and the next it all comes crashing down on yeah. Laughing Virgil patted Scott's shoulder before saying "You knew this was coming didn't you?!" "Yes yes I did" Scott reluctantly said.

"I am sure Lucy's choice in boyfriends weren't as bad as Kayo's were" Virgil said taking a sip of his iced tea. "That was a different that's when I began to see Kayo as something more than a sister yeah know what I mean Virgil" Scott said tears coming out of his eyes. "How is it different Scott please humor" Virgil said. "You were my spy reporting to me everything that Kayo and her date (s) were doing" Scott said. "How could I not! Scott you even threaten to damage my precious thunderbird two.

With only god only knows what and if I vaguely remember you even said you'd let Gordon and Alan in on the action."

Patting him on the back once again Virgil than pulled his brother Scott into a close embrace "Know what you mean Scott I definitely know what you mean. I mean look at my love life for pete sake". This caused both brothers to laugh feeling rather glum once again Scott than said " I know I'll have to do it eventually. But I can't do it now not yet it's because I still see Lucy as my little girl daddy's little girl a treasure that still needs protecting." Rolling his eyes as Virgil attempted to comfort his grieving brother "I sure Dad never had problems like these growing up before he met mom." "Don't be so sure Virgil" Grandma Tracy said as she joined two of her grandson's in the living room. Both Virgil and Scott looked at each other in disbelief before looking at Grandma Tracy once again; just to make sure that they heard her right.

Laughing at her grandson's surprised looks Grandma Tracy continued by saying "Your father came home with a lot of women and when I mean a lot. Some far worse than others so I became judge jury and executioner on the girls your father brought home." This caused Scott and Virgil to laugh at dad's expense both boys made a mental note to that if they ever found their father to ask him about what Grandma Tracy had just told them. As I was saying bringing both Scott and Virgil back to reality "your father wasn't too pleased to say the least." "And let me guess that all changed when he met mom" Scott said Scott cringed at the look his Grandma was giving him and he quickly said "Sorry for interrupting Grandma."

"Things never change around here do they really mom" Lucy said as she looked up at her mom expect Grandma's cooking which sometimes could be less than desirable. Kayo couldn't help but laugh as she lightly ruffled her daughter's dark brown hair. Feeling her daughter squirm under her embrace Kayo couldn't help but agree nothing ever changes in the Tracy house hold. But she couldn't help but agree with her daughter however Grandma Tracy's cooking sometimes could be less than desirable at times the bad times out weight the good and so does everyone's choice in boys.
