"Are you ambidextrous?"
"Pardon?" Lelouch let out while doing a double take as a 5'6 girl with lime green hair and topaz colored eyes looked straight at him. Well, more like straight through him if you looked into her almost lifeless eyes.
It was none other than the infamous C.C.
"I asked if you were ambidextrous?" She repeated, her eyes never leaving his own as she frowned inwardly. C.C. never liked having to repeat herself and Lelouch was lucky he didn't know her anything about her other than the fact that they were in the same grade and currently taking the same classes. Let's not forget the past endless stream of rumors that began floating around the moment she first stepped through Ashford Academy.
Yes, C.C. was well aware that this was all that the boy that she was now standing in front of knew but what he didn't know was that she knew all there was to know about him and she had been patiently waiting on the right time to use it to her advantage.
Which was now.
Lelouch shook his head, quickly masking the surprise on his handsome face with curiosity. "No."
C.C. slightly opened her mouth, as if she about to say something, but looked up at him before changing her mind, sensing that his answer was all she needed, along with his obvious curiosity of course. She turned around and walked away only to be stopped by the sound of Lelouch's voice. "Why do you ask?" He questioned with a hint of suspicion.
She turned her head to the side, looking at him from the corner of her eyes. "You should look into it. It'll be of great use to you in the future." And with that, she walked away, not taking the time to look back at his now, puzzled expression.
"Were you just talking to C.C.?" He suddenly heard Shirley ask worriedly as she immediately appeared at the boy's side while looking over at C.C. from across the freshly mowed lawn as she sat down at one of the vacant ancient concrete lunch tables on that side of the area.
"Uh, yeah. She just came over to ask me something." The dark-haired boy said as he looked over at C.C. who was now crowded by her group of friends, staring back at him with those emotionless eyes of hers.
Shirley eyes shift between C.C. and Lelouch, becoming utterly confused and, not to mention, feeling a hint of envy flowing through her veins as well once she noticed Lelouch's never ending staring at the lime-haired girl, who was undoubtedly staring back. "Well, what did she ask you?"
"Something about me needing to be...ambidextrous..." He said in slight disbelief, glancing at the orange-haired girl before looking back at C.C.
"Lelouch, you need to be careful when it comes to people like her. I think she's bad news." Shirley eyes C.C. skeptically while crossing her arms across her chest, a little angry at the lad's sudden interest in the girl..
"What do you mean by that?" Lelouch frowns as he turns his attention to her.
Shirley stared the ebony-haired boy in the eye with a shocked expression."Do you see the kind of people she hangs out with? One mistake and you could be...I don't know, killed!?"
"Don't you think you're being a bit melodramatic? All rumors aren't true, Shirley." He sighs and stands up, ready to report to his next class. He'd never admit because he knew it would hurt the green-eyed girl's feelings but he hated when she started talking to him as if she was his mother, only more of the type that seemed or talked as if they were paranoid and acted as if the world was ending.
Shirley suddenly grabbed his arm, giving him a worried gaze. "Well some rumors have a little truth in them. I'm just trying to look out for you, Lulu."
He inwardly grimaced at her nick name for him as he loosened his arm from Shirley's hand and gave her a reassuring smile. "I'll be fine, Shirley. Besides, I don't think we'll ever talk again, anyways." He tells her before walking away.
Lelouch starts to grab the handle but stops as he feels someone staring at him. He looks around and once again catches the golden colored eyes of C.C. Only after a few seconds does she seem to lose interest and looks away.
He glanced back down at the door handle with a strange thought. 'What if those rumors are true?...Wait, why am I worrying? Like I said, we will never talk to each other again.' He shakes the thought off and walks in the classroom.
"C.C.?"
"Yes?" The 16 year-old girl replied looking at a particular fellow student that shes had her eye on for a while and just recently talked to only minutes ago before leaving him in wonder.
Kaguya laid her chin on top C.C.'s shoulder, trying to spot what seemed to have caught the lime-haired beauty's eye. "Who are you looking at? Have you found someone?" The curious 14 year old smiled brightly at the fact that junior's plan was finally beginning.
"Yes. I think that he'll be very useful. When the time comes, of course." C.C. informed the dark-haired child while quickly catching the boy's eye.
Kaguya, who has now found C.C.'s target, smiles excitedly. "Lelouch Lamperouge?! Wow. He's smart and he's the most good looking boy there is at this school."
'Tell me something I don't know.' She thought with a hint of a laugh as her and Lelouch held each other's gaze, almost as if they were the only ones out here.
"Maybe but this is strictly business. And once this ends I won't be needing him anymore. And then we can forget about this whole incident." C.C. finally said as she finally lets go of her hold on his eyes and looks away.
As he walks in the classroom, she smirks inwardly. 'If he cooperates, that is.'
