The sun felt warm on their faces as Jay Jay and Snuffy were resting by Lighting Bug Lake. They were enjoying the peace and quiet as well as some fresh air, when Jay Jay saw something glittering gold by the lake's edge.
"Snuffy!" he called "Look over there!"
Snuffy was surprised. "What is it, Jay Jay?" He asked curiously.
"Well, I don't know, but I think we should take a closer look." Jay Jay responded determinedly.
On a closer inspection, they soon found out it was another book from Skylandia.
"It's another book on Skylandia!" Snuffy realised excitedly. "I wonder who the book belongs to."
"I know, we'll ask Brenda Blue! Come on!" Jay Jay said excitedly. And so the two young jets flew off back to the airport to investigate.
...
"Sorry guys, I haven't seen a book like this," replied Brenda, flipping through the book's pages. "No name or address either. It is a nice book though." She added, looking at its spine and covers.
"Now what do we do?" Snuffy asked.
"Hm- I know! Miss Jones! She has the first book, so maybe she knows what became of this!" Jay Jay said.
"Well, take Tracy with you," Suggested Brenda. "She can communicate with Miss Jones."
"Alright," Both jets agreed. As Miss Jones was deaf, she communicated by American Sign Language- and Tracy was adept enough to communicate with her.
...
So, armed with the book and Tracy, Jay Jay and Snuffy set off for the library. They quickly filled Tracy in on the details of the previous book so that she understood what was happening. She found the matter perplexing, but was excited by the thought of a mystery.
And when they arrived, Tracy found that Miss Jones had actually had the book purchased but it hadn't arrived at the library.
"So a jet must have dropped it!" Snuffy deduced.
"But who dropped it, Jay Jay?" Tracy asked their friend.
"Well, it doesn't matter. But we got the book back where it belongs, at least," Replied Jay Jay, and the others had to agree.
