My eyes fluttered open; Feet up on my desk as Patty and Morrison walked in. She headed towards the tv, Morrison let out a sigh as he sat down on the couch. "It's been two weeks..." he said smoking his pipe. At that moment, the door flew open. A woman walked up to my desk with a grin on her face. I looked up at her with annoyance, "You haven't changed at all have you?" she said with a smile. "What do you want?" I asked annoyed, "Can't I come see my little brother from time to time?" she said teasingly as she sat down on my desk.

A sigh escape my lips, I grabbed my coat and left. Patty and Morrison looked at each other, confusion in their eyes. "Why are you here, Markai?" I asked, un-amused. A grin formed on her lips, "You'll see." she said as the wind blew her long brown hair. "Dante.""Hm?" I looked over at her, she came to a halt, staring blankly ahead. "Things are only going to get worst." she said, turning to me. "Whatever is coming...It's nothing we've ever seen before...It terrifies me..." She mumbled, fear in her eyes. I looked at her confused, Nothing has ever scared you...Markai...Another smirk appeared on her face before she disappeared.

I sat down on the couch, staring blankly at the white wall in front of me. My conversation with Markai, played repeatedly in my head. What is going on? I picked up the phone and called Aira, hopefully she can shed some light on this. "Dante, you aren't giving me much to work with here." She said as a sigh escaped her lips. "That's all I got, anything you can find with that?" I asked, feet up on my desk, phone in hand, twirling the wire with my fingers. "It's not much and it's pretty vague. However, I've heard legends." She said, opening an old book. "Legends?" I asked, curiously. "Growing up, there were legends of a horid beast, destroying everything in its path. A few monks in the region set to seal the beast away. If that legend was true and the seal has been broken, both realms are in serious danger." She replied, sitting down.

"That beast is known as Delival" "Delival?" I asked unfamiliar with the name. "Delival is a creature more powerful than any in our realm. They are rather rare as well." She said, looking in a book. "Oh, there's one way to know is they belong to that linage." "How?" I asked, flipping through a magazine. "When in there human form, they will have the marking of Delival. It will resemble three petals with a thick dark rim and what appears to be eyes in them, in somewhat of a triangular pattern, three lines will seem to be coming out of the spaces between them. There is also a possibility that they have circles in the spaces between the "eyes." However, this is uncertain and the number may vary." She said, looking at the pictures of the markings, in printed within the book.

"The more jewels, the more powerful they are." A voice said, coming from the doorway. "Markai." I said, surprised before hanging up. "If this rumor is true, demons will begin pouring into this realm. If they pose a treat, you must eliminate them." She said, leaning against the door frame. "That it?" I asked, a hint of boredom in my voice. " Do that, and your reward will be far greater than any amount of money." She said with a smirk as she turned her back to me. I looked at her with confusion, something greater than money? "One more thing." she said, looking over her shoulder. "Hm?" "You are forbidden to leave this realm until this matter is settled." She said disappearing "What?!" I shouted.

At that moment, the phone rang, my gaze fell to it. "Devil May Cry. " I said, answering the phone. "Is this Dante?" A voice asked. "...Yeah." "Meet me at the dinner." He said hanging up. I stared at the phone in my hand before gabbing my coat and heading over.

I sat down at a table and ordered a strawberry sundae. A man with short spiked red hair, duo tone eyes and a black coat walked in, sitting down in front of me, his lips curled into a grin. "Markai said you could help me." he said, sitting back, legs and arms crossed. I looked at him as I took a bite out of my sundae. "Has she told you anything about the recent increase in demons?" he asked "No." I said, finishing off my desert. "Anyway, I need your help to get rid of them." "Not interested." I said, closing my eyes. "Please. I'll pay you handsomely." he begged. I gazed up at him as a sigh escaped my lips. "Fine." I said, getting up. "Really? Thank you so much!" he said, his lips curled into a smile. He looked over his shoulder "Name's Mokashi." he said, I glared at him, my blue eyes piercing his duo tone ones. Who the hell is this guy...? A few feet away from the restaurant, he came to a sudden halt. He turned towards me with a grin on his face. His eyes glowing a bright crimson.

He held his arm out to the side. His sword raising from the ground. "Prepare to die, Dante!" he shouted, charging towards me. I quickly grabbed hold of Rebellion and held her in front of me, using her as a shield. "What the...?" I said, glaring at him. "You will soon join that treacherous woman." He replied, continuously hitting his sword against mine. "Enough!" a strong, powerful, female voice howled from behind him. He ceased immediately, trembling in fear. He turned around slowly, a sigh escaped his lips. "Damn it, Markai." he said, putting his sword away. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" she asked furiously. "My job." he replied in annoyance. "Disobey my orders one more time and I will be the least of your problems." She snapped. "Yes, ma'am." he said before disappearing.

She let out a heavy sigh as she turned to me. "Stay away from him." she said coldly, passing me by. "Markai." I said, grabbing her arm. "Why the hell are you here?" I asked, looking her in the eye. She chuckled. A smirk on her face, she looked my head to toe before vanishing.

"Dante! Look at this place! It's a mess!" Patty yelled, hands on her hips. "Did you say something?" I asked mockingly, flipping threw a magazine. "Dante!" she shouted, throwing the mop at me. "Okay, Okay, I get it." I sighed, picking up the mop she had previously thrown at me. "Seriously, Dante. You'll never get a girlfriend that way." She said teasingly, sticking her tongue out. A grin appeared on my lips, If only you knew. "Looks like she's got you cleaning again." Morrison said, laughing as he walked in. I leaned on the mop, a sigh escaped my lips. "This kid...I swear." I mumbled, looking towards him. He laughed, sitting down on the couch, legs cross. "How'd the-" he was cut off as the door swung open. "Here." Markai said, throwing a small coin bag at me. "From that imbecile." she said leaving again. He looked at the door then back at me with a confused look. "She's an odd one." He said, sitting back.
