"So Annie, what exactly were you doing at this place?" Asked Rhett. "I lived here, with my brother and dad" she replied.
"Their both dead now, that walker you just killed was my dad," she coldly looked at me. "Im sorry", was all I could muster up
This girl had been hiding in her room for who knows how long, knowing that her dad was a walker, lurking around downstairs
she must have been terrified. "My brother was killed in an accident," she paused. "A stupid little kid ran him over with our
tractor and before we knew it he was being eaten alive by those things, we had visitors at that time, but since then, dad
became a different person..." By now we were all sitting around resting, snacking on some leftover tuna found in the cupboard.
"Dad grew distant as each day went by until he didn't come home one night, just three days ago I found him wondering around
in the barn, I ran back into my room when he started chasing me, I didn't know what had happened to him.." She blankly
stares off into the distance, "Hey Annie, come with us we'll protect you.." Jack insisted.

Four of us now walked together down this dusty old road, we came across an old gate with a family name written across it,
Rhett and I opted to check the place out while Jack and Annie stayed at the gate. Rhett led the way as we walked up the
front porch, as he grabbed the door handle we heard a low cough from inside. We decided to be courteous and knock
on the door, sure enough it was opened up by a middle aged man who was surprisingly happy to see another face that didn't
have flesh decaying off it. The man's name was Jim and by now it was as if we were long lost pals who hadn't seen each
other for years. I told him that we planned to head north towards the city in hope of civilisation, he was eager to ask
to come along with us and sure enough we ransacked his house for food, water and weapons.

Turns out Jim owned the local gun store although his shop was raided he stockpiled a few weapons. Jim carried around a
beastly Spas 12, while Rhett held a Glock 17 and I sported a Magnum 44. Things seemed more positive and secure now
that we had proper weapons. Jack comforted Annie most of the journey while Rhett, Jim and I kept silent, listening into
the distance as if to hear what was ahead. After hours of walking and small talk we finally reached a little town,
the hot sun beat down on the road that we walked on as we explored the town, we decided to enter the only building that
could have any promise, the local convenience store. Jim and I explored inside while Rhett kept watch out the front,
Annie and Jack both sat on the other side of the road, still chatting.

The store seemed bigger on the inside, the light from the front windows faded across down the aisles over spilt
groceries and tipped over shelves, the place was a mess but there seemed to be alot of stuff to use. Jim picked an aisle
and dissapeared into the darkness, I walked around the front of the store looking at the scattered groceries left on the
checkout, a familiar smell filled my lungs, it was rum, Jim sure enough found a bottle and was sipping on it like a happy
infant. Jack and Annie seemed alot further away when I looked out now, Rhett continued to pace outside the store. Come on,
lets head down the back see what we can find, I said to Jim as he took another mouthful of rum. We found a torch and batteries
and made our way through the store. It seemed to be endless as we passed piles of rubbish. Here, I pointed out the pharmacy
section at the very back. Jim and I found the keys for the door and entered the room we began reading all the bottles
full of different tablets. Morephene, vitamins other antibiotics were stuffed into a small bag I found.

The clinking of the glass as I dropped the bottles in the bag were mixed up with what I thought was a low rumble. I paused and
listened closely.. Nothing, I finished collecting all the medicine when I was sure that I heard that sound again, It was an
engine. This time clearer, Jim grinned at me and threw the empty rum bottle on the ground smashing it. "Were about to get
real lucky" he chuckled as he made his way back to the small passage from where we came, the horn of the car beeped 3 times
as I hastily picked up the bag and made my way around the corner into the passage, the staffroom door bumped open
and I heard the familiar rasping and low groaning..

(Thanks for the reviews guys, if you like it I'll add to it!)
