Sayla leaned against the row of lockers and watched Rachel take a couple of books from her locker.

"I just can't believe that the rest of the Glee Club treats you like that and Mr. Schuester stands by and does nothing. Why didn't you tell me things were that bad? I would have come out here a lot sooner," Sayla said as Rachel closed her locker and slipped into her coat.

"It wouldn't have done any good. Kurt would still try to use me to get an invite to Fashion Week and Santana would still be a bitch," Rachel replied as the two girls headed out to the parking lot. Rachel looked around for her cousin's car.

"Where's your ride?" she asked. Sayla grinned and pointed across the lot where a group of kids were surrounded.

"Right there," she said, leading the way to the black stretch limo where her driver, James was waiting. He tipped his hat at them.

"Right this way, ladies," he said, shooing a completely dumbstruck Karofsky and Azimio out of the way so that he could open the limo door.

"What the hell? What's a loser like Berry doing with a beauty like you?" Azimio asked, finding his voice at last. Sayla graced him with the blue eyed glare that she'd bestowed on the Glee Club only minutes before.

"Her name is Rachel, dumbass, and she's my cousin. We're leaving for spring break in Paris. Au revoir," said Sayla before she slid into the limo. Rachel clambered into the limo after her, but not before smirking at her classmates, who were staring at her like they'd never seen her before. James closed the door after her and got into the driver's seat.

"Lovely to see you again, Rachel. Are those guys always like that?" he asked as he put the car in drive and started to drive out of the parking lot. Rachel nodded as she accepted the Perrier that Sayla offered her.

"Oh yeah, they make bullying me and other students their number one extracurricular activity. They don't really think twice about it, or the fact that they throw slushies in my face because I'm lower on the pecking order than they are. I- oh, no," Rachel groaned as she spotted a familiar red blowing in the wind as its owner ran towards the car.

"James, step on it!" Sayla ordered. She gave the order a minute too late; Jacob Ben Israel was in front of the car, microphone at the ready, one of his goons carrying the camera.

"I'll handle this," said Sayla as she rolled down the window. Before she did, however, she motioned to Rachel to move to the opposite side of the limo. She knew all about Jacob's crush, no, more like obsession, with Rachel. Rachel gratefully moved into the shadowy part of the limo and pulled her legs up onto the seat. Sayla took a gulp of Perrier and swished it around. Jacob Ben Israel wanted a show, that's exactly what he was going to get. Rolling down the window, she spat out the mouthful of Perrier before smiling charmingly at Jacob.

"Can I help you?" she asked pleasantly. Rachel giggled and then stuffed her fist in her mouth. To any outsider she sounded friendly, but Rachel knew her cousin. And she knew that the honeyed tones that Sayla was using were the ones she used when she wanted to scare someone silly.

"A little birdie told me that you are carrying a certain Jewish love muffin, my love muffin in your limo. Come to whisk her away to parts unknown. Care to comment? Or maybe you'd like to give me something else instead?" Jacob leered, his eyes taking in Sayla's face with its model like features and her platinum blonde hair. His cameraman tried to get a closer shot of the interior of the limo, but Sayla calmly pushed the window button, causing it to go up ever so slightly.

"Funny, I don't recall my cousin saying that she was involved with you, but I do remember her saying that you stalk her every opportunity you get and you're either too dumb or too horny, actually she said you were both, to take a hint. Did you know that stalking and continued harassment when the victim has repeatedly asked you to stop is a criminal offence? You continue to harass my cousin, I will help her put a restraining order against you, and I'm sure her fathers and mine will be more than happy to aid us. Now, if you please, we have a flight to catch," Sayla snapped before pushing the window button again. Jacob only just had time to pull his microphone out before it was squashed. Sayla settled back in her seat.

"Sayla, you can't fight all of my battles for me," said Rachel as she rejoined her cousin on the bench seat as James drove out of the parking lot and turned on to the road. Sayla shrugged delicately.

"You've told him to stop repeatedly, and he hasn't. What's the harm of someone else telling him where to stick it?" Sayla questioned.

"I've threatened him with legal action, but he hasn't taken me seriously. I'll bet you anything that your little interview will be up on the school's website by tonight. He's the school's journalist," Rachel admitted. Sayla chewed her lip thoughtfully.

"He is, eh? Well, if there's any trouble, I'm sure we could find something on him to get him to stop," Sayla said.

"It won't work. He's got too many eyes and ears all over the school and he's well-practiced in blackmail and exposing secrets," said Rachel as they pulled into her driveway.

"Well, I still think you should come and live with us in New York. Finish out the school year here and then transfer," said Sayla. After seeing how her cousin was being treated by her fellow classmates, she was angry that nothing had been done to put an end to the harassment and bullying.

"I'll think about it," said Rachel as they climbed out of the limo and walked up the path to the front door. Hiram and Leroy were waiting in the house with Sayla's parents, Robert and Jackie.

"Darlings!" Jackie exclaimed as soon as the two girls walked in. She hugged her daughter and then turned to greet Rachel warmly. Rachel and Sayla had always been close from the time they were little, so much that Hiram and Leroy had made Robert and Jackie Rachel's guardians in the event that anything happened to them.

"Are you joining us in Paris, uncles?" Sayla asked as her father moved to hug Rachel. Hiram swallowed a mouthful of coffee before he replied.

"Not for the first bit. You girls are going to Paris, and the three of us are going to Atlanta for a few days, and then we'll fly to Paris and meet you and come back to Lima at the same time. We thought we would meet you your last evening in Paris and have dinner somewhere." Rachel nodded, she was glad her fathers and uncle were going to be spending time together but even more excited to have a whole week with her aunt and cousin.

"I guess I'd better go pack. Want to come help me Sayla?" she said, turning to her cousin. Sayla nodded and followed Rachel up the stairs. Walking into her room, Rachel headed for her closet and pulled out her suitcase that she always packed when she and her fathers went away on holidays. Sayla walked into her closet and started flicking through the clothes while Rachel changed out of her school clothes and into a pair of jeans and a black off the shoulder top. Pulling her hair into a ponytail, she walked over to Sayla and started pulling her clothes off the hangers.

"I wonder what the Glee club thought of our exit," Sayla remarked as she passed Rachel a sleek black evening gown. Rachel shook her head as she folded the dress neatly and placed it in her nearly full suitcase.

"I don't know, they're probably still shaking in their boots from the dressing down you gave them," she said as she walked over to her dresser and started packing her jewelry. She zipped her travel jewelry bag closed and placed it in her suitcase. Zipping her case shut, Rachel slid her arms into her polka dotted trench coat. As she went to take the handle of her case, Sayla emerged from the bathroom carrying Rachel's toiletries and makeup.

"We almost forgot the really important stuff," she said with a wink as she unzipped the suitcase and slid the two small bags inside. Straightening up, she looked at her cousin who was looking at her phone.

"What is it?" Sayla asked. Silently, Rachel handed her phone over and Sayla read the text message.

Hey Rachel! Have a fabulous time in Paris! Take lots of pictures and come home with lots of stories. I wouldn't say no to a Gucci or Chanel tote either ;).

"Unbelievable! Who the hell does Kurt think he is? The only person you're coming back with a Gucci or Chanel tote for is yourself. Those little jerks!" Sayla fumed as she and Rachel got ready to head downstairs. Rachel set her phone down on the bedside table. She wasn't taking that with her, she had her iPod and laptop to keep her entertained. Pulling the door closed behind her, she left her bedroom and followed Sayla down the stairs with her suitcase. The two sets of parents were waiting in the foyer for them, with luggage surrounding them. Her fathers and uncle hugged her goodbye.

"Have fun in Paris, you deserve it," said Leroy as he released Rachel and embraced Sayla.

"I plan to," responded Rachel as they filed out of the house and locked the door behind them. Rachel, Jackie and Sayla slid into the limo while the Berry men climbed into Leroy's SUV. Waving goodbye, the limo pulled out of the driveway and drove in the direction of the airport, which was twenty minutes away.

"Are you sad to be not spending your spring break in Lima with your friends, Rachel?" asked Jackie as the three of them reclined against the seat.

"Not at all, I'm happy to be getting out of here for awhile," said Rachel. Her aunt raised an eyebrow.

"I thought you enjoyed the Glee Club," she said. Sayla snorted.

"The glee club is a group of users, fakes and bullies. When Rachel and I were finishing her packing, one of the boys in the club texted her saying to have fun and would she please bring him back a designer tote bag! And he also tried to invite himself along on the trip, saying that he would be better suited to a trip in Paris than Rachel because he thinks his fashion sense is up to par!"

"It's true, Auntie. While I enjoying singing and dancing, I don't enjoy the people in the glee club. Nor do I enjoy getting slushied in the face three or more times a day," Rachel said. Then she closed her eyes.

"Hold up! Slushies in the face?! You never said a word about those, where the hell do these people get off and why has nothing been done?" Sayla exploded. Jackie was frowning too.

"It's what the popular kids do to those lower on the social ladder, and since I'm in the Glee Club, I'm one of their prime targets. It's just the way it is," Rachel said.

"It doesn't have to be that way, when we come back to Lima I am going to the school board and demanding a meeting. We'll sort this out," said Jackie as the car came to a stop. Rachel only nodded as she looked out the window. She knew very well that even if her aunt and uncle and fathers took on the school board, their attempts to end the bullying would be futile. She frowned when she saw they were on the tarmac.

"Don't we have to go inside and go through security and customs?" What are we doing out here?" she asked. Her aunt and cousin grinned.

"We're going on our private plane! Surprise!" squealed Sayla. Rachel laughed as James opened the door and she climbed out. This was certainly turning out to be a day of surprises, and she was looking forward to the plane ride with her aunt and cousin.

Author's Note: Tada! Chapter 2! A belated Happy Easter to you all! I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend, I certainly did. My sister and her boyfriend came home for a few days and they are planning on coming back for the May Long Weekend, I hope all the snow is gone by then. Beginning of April and we still have at least a foot of snow on the ground and we're supposed to get more on Thursday. I shouldn't complain too much though, if the snow keeps the forest fires at bay this summer then I'll be happy. Last year my hometown was surrounded by three fires and my family and I were 2km out from the evacuation zone. Too close for comfort! Anyways, enough about that, what did you guys think of the chapter? I'm thinking I might expand the length of the story to 10 chapters, depending on how the next three run. I'm hoping to have Chapter 5 of my Harry Potter story An Unseen Side up this week too, hopefully by Thursday or Friday. I always enjoy reading your guys' reviews Till next time, xoxoxo
