Yuu: I know it's been a long time but I rarely had access to the computer when my first laptop broke, I was too busy trying to fix the horrible first chapter Aozora wrote-

Aozora: Hey I tried, didn't I?

Yuu: Yes, but I told you to add more detail, which you didn't and you posted the story anyway.

Aozora: I thought it was fine.

Yuu: Dumbass. I had to rewrite the whole thing while working on my own stories. I made it 5x longer than the original.

Aozora: Eh, well you can continue it. I can't think of anything. And Ketsueki has been dragging me off to interviews.

Yuu: Well damn. Well here is the second chapter. I hope you enjoy it.

"Cat talk" Sounds like meows to everyone except Kutoka, Allen, and Kanda. Lavi reads body language.

"Human Talk"

'Thoughts'

"Neah" Yay! Neah is here!

*Allen POV*

I felt so warm. Like I laid in the sunlight all afternoon on a summer day. Something curled itself around me, covering my back completely. I wanted to stay here forever, but I felt my bed shift, so I figure I'm going to have to get up eventually.

Wait... this is my bed right? It was cool, even with my body heat trying and failing to make it warmer. My bed isn't cool in the morning. I didn't feel my pillow under my head... was I lying flat? I usually don't. And what was making me warm? I won't deny it, but I felt right laying there and I didn't want to leave. And what was tickling my nose? It was connected to whatever was curled around my body obviously.

I tried opening my eyes, somewhat getting them half open. Everything was blurry at first, but I blinked a few times clearing up the early morning tears. Looking around, I realized...

'This isn't my room... My bed is against the wall...so this isn't my bed... Where the hell am I?'

"Language, nephew. Last time I checked, your name isn't Red."

'And where were you during all this!? Ugh... I don't remember a thing... What happened?'

"Beats me... Whatever that mad scientist Komui did, it reversed my awakening and I was dormant again."

'Remind me to kill him later...'

"With pleasure, Allen."

I opened my eyes the rest of the way, getting all the details. Even the cobalt tail that was tickling my nose the whole morning.

Wait... COBALT!?

I froze, shaking in my fur, my teeth clenched, my eyes wide. Slowly turning my head, I followed the cobalt tail to its owner. There he slept. Around me. His rival. I gulped. I looked around, hoping to find someone human, but to no avail. That shifting earlier must have been Lavi and Kutoka getting up. That wasn't long ago. Either I tried to go back to sleep or they get dressed quickly and quietly. Glancing back to the older cat, I noticed something I've never seen. A peaceful, content expression danced across Kanda's face, much unlike how his usual scowl that always marred his handsome face. Unsettling as it is to see the dark samurai in peace, his face seemed to calm my already racked up nerves. I'd almost stay here like this but something interrupted the bliss.

Kanda's awakening.

The black tom stirred, then groaned and moaned as he rose from his slumber, his midnight eyes fluttering open softly. On instincts it seemed, I darted to the opposite end of the still chilled mattress. He let out a yawn, and stretched, flexing his claws, then giving his paw a lick and his ear one short rub down. I hide behind the pillow in front of me, keeping myself down so I couldn't be seen. As I watched from beyond the corner of the pillow, I watched Kanda look around, his ears swiveling like he was trying to find something. Wait, he was.

Me.

I held my breath, curling my tail close to me.

'Please give up, please give up!'

"Oi Moyashi!"

I shrunk deeper into the shadow, trying to contain my quivers. I could feel Kanda's weight shifting the bed as he padded softly towards me. As he got closer, m heart thumped louder, and louder, quicker and quicker. By now, my heart was beating as fast as a hummingbird's wings, and I could hear it in my ears. Kanda could probably hear it too.

"Sorry for yesterday..."

'What? Please tell me I'm hearing things... Kanda apologized... He's never be sincere about stuff like this.'

Kanda jumped down from the bed, giving another sorrowful glance towards me but still not seeing me, then walking out of the open door.

I kind of feel bad. Not only did I get Kanda mad at me, but I don't even have the guts to respond to his apology. God damn it, I'm horrible.

I crawled out from behind the tall pillow, leaping off the bed and landing in a pile of myself, very unlike Kanda, who had earlier jumped, landing perfectly on his paws.

"Ow! That...really hurt... Kanda made it look so easy."

"Maybe he was a cat before."

'Why aren't I surprised? Komui probably did something like this before.'

I lifted my small body off the cold floor, shaking my fur of any stray dirt clumps. I looked towards the door Kanda left through. Kutoka must have left it open for us to get out. Slipping through into the hallway, I noticed Kanda wasn't in sight. Even as a cat, he walks at inhuman- er cat pace. While trying to decide which way he went, something tingled in my nose. A scent. The scent that cloaked the cobalt tail under my nose. Kanda's, his own, scent. Kanda's scent wasn't what I was expecting. I expected something plain or just soba, but it had a spicy tang with hints of lotus and the forest. It was lovely.

Following it, I speed walked down the halls, ending at a staircase. How was I going to get down? Thinking back to the most recently waxing half moon, I tried to remember how Kutoka did it. I think she just walked normally. I followed the lead of my sister from the past, and climbed down the stairs. It was easier than I had thought, making my way the large stairs, but around half way, my paw stepped too close on the edge of the step and I slipped. I tumbled, slid, banged my head, and rolled down the remaining twenty steps. Landing in a heap of myself with a thud, I felt twisted the wrong way.

"Ow... bloody hell...," I growled, shaking my fur, shedding any dirt or dust.

"Nii-san?" Kutoka's voice echoed behind me, giving me a short sense of relief. I turned and there stood my older sister, in her full Exorcist uniform that was a mixture of a shorter version of Kanda's and mine, not just her usual short dress with black tights and knee high, black combat boots in which she prefers to wear in combat. A towel was hung around her neck and she was slowly rubbing it on her soaked hair. Her tail hung low, swinging back and worth.

"I guess you're looking for the cafeteria?"

"More like Kanda so I could say sorry," I mewed, hanging my head low.

"Oh, Kanda-senpai was heading towards the training hall. Come on, I'll take you there."

I was shocked to say the least. Lavi can somewhat understand me, but Kutoka is having a full conversation with me.

"You can understand me?"

She raised a silver brow. "Of course. These ears, tail, and claws aren't for show, Allen."

She finished drying her hair, hanging the wet towel over her shoulders. She walked over to me, picking me up, holding me like a young child.

"Can I sit on your shoulder or head?" I gave the classic puppy, er kitten, eyes, just begging for TLC. Kutoka tried to look away, but ended up almost getting a nosebleed.

"Alright, alright, turn off the waterworks," she said as I was about to activate my crocodile tears mode."You can ride on my shoulders, but you cannot, absolutely cannot, get on my head."

I grinned like a Cheshire cat, but was slightly curious. "Why can't I ride on your head? Am I going to mess up your hair, or scratch your ears?"

"Nope," she mewed and on cue, a little bump in her right sleeve flew up, out of her collar. It was her silver and cobalt raven type golem, Inoku. The little black cop of Timcanpy flew up, nestling herself on Kutoka's scalp where Timcanpy would on my head.

"Inoku would think I'm replacing her with you and/or she would attack you for taking her spot. She's extremely territorial unless she invites you."

"Oh." Now I feel like an idiot. It was so obvious.

"Don't worry about it. Not many people can predict Inoku's actions including me, and I had her for years. I can only guess a few."

"Alright. Kutoka?"

She turned her head slightly to get me into the corner of her peripheral vision.

"I need help being a cat. Kanda makes it look so easy."

She chuckled a little, shaking her shoulders, but it wasn't enough for me to lose balance.

"It's easy, dear little brother. What do you need help in?"

"Well..."

Along our way through the halls, Kutoka explained all feline actions and meanings to me. Like how to land on my feet. Apparently it's a reflex so just go with the flow and don't panic; let my body take control and use my tail to flip myself. She also told me what purring was. I was always curious how cats did it. And how to use my whiskers to navigate in the dark. Who knew there were so many perks to being a cat?

"So, Nii-san, do you know why Kanda-senpai walked out of the room in such a depressing mood?"

My heart skipped a beat and my throat clenched at the mention of the dark cat. God damn my conscience, it leaves me speechless sometimes.

"I...I-it's...," I stuttered, choking on the words.

"No need to really tell me. Lavi told me what happened while I was in the shower. Kanda's probably feeling as guilty as you."

"Why should he?"

"Because he yelled at you for doing what comes natural to a kit your age. You really don't have to apologize for...um...why do you want to apologize?"

"Because it's my fault he got scolded by Lavi, and it had to be a hard hit to his ego and pride getting yelled at by the resident immature teen."

"Ne, Allen, you really don't have to, but if it makes you feel better and sleep at night, I'm not going to stop you, little bro."

"Thank you."

*Time Skip - The Rest of the Way to the Cafeteria*

We walked through the open doors to our usual table, getting stares and hearing whispers amongst the Finders and scientists. I would look towards them, and they would turn their heads quickly away. I leaned against Kutoka's head, trying to hide.

"Allen, get off my head," Kutoka whispered as she nudged me from leaning with her head. "Ignore the bastards."

I purred a little. My sister's crude language always seemed to amuse me, even though Kanda does the same thing and it only annoyed me.

Looking around, I spotted our usual table with Lenalee, Lavi, and a black spot sitting in their respectful seats. Lavi was actually behaving himself, eating his egg benedict, and Lenalee was trying to sneak up behind Kanda to pet him, only getting hissed at by said dark samurai. Kutoka placed me down next to her seat, which was next to Kanda.

"Stay here, don't move and I'll get you some breakfast." She padded off like a breeze to the counter.

Giving my surroundings a glance, I notice Kanda standing on his hind legs and supporting his upper body with his front paws as he lapped up his soba. I tried doing the same, picking up my torso, pawing at the air to grab the edge of the table. My new kitten body wasn't long enough for this, so I missed the table completely. I flipped and fell onto my back on the floor under the table with a silent thud.

"Ow! God damn it, that hurt."

"Che. Baka moyashi," I heard Kanda growl from his seat as he watched me. He jumped onto the floor with me with his usual grace, and walked up to me.

"Sooner or later, I'm going to have to teach you how to land," he said with slight annoyance. Grabbing me by the scruff of my neck with his teeth, Kanda lifted me off the ground and started to carry me out from under the table.

"Put me down Kanda! I can walk by myself! Put me down!" I squirmed and wiggled in his grip. The older cat ignored me, still gripping my scruff tightly.

"Che. And have you fall down again because you're too small? Do you take me for the baka usagi?"

Kanda jumped up onto the bench, then the table, setting me down, a little way from the edge. He sat down next to me, looking away like he was looking for something or someone to arrive so he could leave. It's almost like he was in a hurry to do something elsewhere, or he really wanted to get away from me. He sat up and padded to his abandoned soba to finish the rest.

"Kanda's got a point, Nii-san," said my sister out of nowhere behind me, making my fur bristle in surprise. She laughed as she set down a tray of fish and water in front of me, then she sat down, starting to eat here tall tower of ramen. "Now, while you are like this, there are a few rules you must abide, understand, Brother?"

Kutoka's tone was cold and serious, meaning regret will be the result of my actions if I don't listen to her right now.

"Rule #1: Stay with someone trustworthy at all times. Preferably either Kanda or I, but Lavi, Marie, Krory, Miranda, Lenalee, Finders Gozu or Toma, Jerry, Reever, Cash, and Johnny. Avoid Chaoji and Lvellie if possible."

"Okay, got it."

"Rule #2: Avoid any fights. Fighting as a cat is extremely hard and annoying. I only make it look easy because I fought in feline form for years." With that rule, Kutoka unconsciously brought her long tail closer to her, most likely remembering when in fights, the opponent would yank it hard.

"Totally understandable."

"Rule #3: Don't leave the Order unless either I or Lavi are with you. No exceptions except if there is an evacuation. And if you meet any cats that aren't me or don't know the answer to the riddle.

"Got that too."

"Any more rules, Neko?"

"Nope that's about it. I trust you will actually follow the rules?" Both Kanda and I nodded in affirmative, and Kutoka scratched behind both our ears. "Good boys."

The rest of breakfast went by peacefully, some of the Finders and scientists, mostly females, walking by to pet us. Occasionally, if I looked like I was enjoying it too much, either Kutoka would growl, saying something like 'Don't molest my brother with your perfume stained hands!' or something of the like, which luckily was only to the overly-exposed#AN: You skanky whores stay away from Allen!#, or Kanda would simply growl, hiss, and scratch. It was quite amusing until some of the ladies got hurt, which I would berate Kanda for. Kutoka and he would sometimes scratch or lick my ear to get me to shut up. Kutoka seemed to be the only female to be able to bet me. I like how Kanda seemed to be protective of me, but sometimes, he goes too far. This time, Kutoka and Lenalee, who made a truce to not fight until we were normal once again, had went away to give Jerry-san our dirty plates, and a ginger female Finder came over to pet me. Kanda didn't seem to like it that I was purring louder than an engine.

"Why did you make her cry? She was only petting me!"

"Che, she was getting too close."

"Since when did you care!?"

"Since when didn't I? You know what? Forget it! Why did I even care?" With that Kanda stormed off, his once smooth black fur, now ruffed and bristled in rage, his cobalt eyes glassing over with anger. Lavi jumped out of his seat, racing after the older feline.

Even though I've only been a cat for little over half a day, I have had a knack for getting Kanda pissed. More accurately, pissed at me. In under 15 hours, I've made Kanda pissed enough to storm off away from me. Damn it, ever since I've been a kit, I've had gotten more curious, more clumsy, more childish. I've also have gotten sensitive to the touching of my newly discovered sweet spots. Behind my ears, under my chin, the base of my tail, and just under my ribs on my belly. Kanda seemed to hate it when someone other than him or my sister when she was joking with me or wanted to end a short argument. He seemed to be jealous that he wasn't one giving me simple pleasure.

My ears flattened in guilt, but they perked back up. This was not the time to feel guilty. I jumped down from the table in one go landing almost perfectly on my feet, just stumbling a little bit. Running towards the doors of the cafeteria, I jolted out into the hall. Lavi didn't stop Kanda yet.

'Where are they? Where are they!?'

"Allen, calm down! It's alright. Think, you are a cat. Use the perks of your new body."

Perks? Yes, perks. Alright. Lifting my nose into the air, I scented Kanda's smell. The perfect mixture of lotus, mist, and soba. The scent veered to the right, and I followed. This seemed easier than I thought.

Soon, I caught the sight of cobalt fur climbing out a window, no Lavi in sight.

"Kanda!"

The older cat ignored me as he jumped out the window. I padded quickly, easily. It was like Kanda wasn't even trying.

"Goddammit, Kanda! Wait up!"

*Kutoka POV*

'They're gone! What the hell?'

I ran throughout the cafeteria, trying to pick up on their scent, but with all the food and people, it was hard. Everything mixed. My heart raced in panic and I saw red. Lavi wasn't anywhere to be seen and Lenalee was with me.

I felt pulsing throughout my veins as my youkai(1) blood run rampant in me. My demon is pissed and she wants out.

Alrighty, got this done at 10:32 PM, Eastern Time. So tired. R&R!

(1): Sorry, I forgot. Youkai = Demon in Japanese (actually it means 'apparition' but I think it was used in the Feudal Era to identify a demon)
