"Come on. What's one drink going to hurt?"

"Everything."

"It's not even a real drink. You won't get drunk."

"I know that…"

"So why are you being so difficult?"

"Because Neil, we're on the job!" I said to him as we sat across from each other at our little bar table. Neil and I manage to phase into the memory of our recent patient right when the bartender yelled "last call" to the patrons. "Jay's Bar" as it's simply called. It wasn't the biggest bar in the world, but it did feel like a big brand bar. Everyone in the room was laughing, drinking, and having a merry old time. Maybe it was because of the drinks or the atmosphere, but if I had to bet why this tiny bar has so many people…it would be because of her.

Case 2: Daughters

"Now ladies and gentlemen, the last song of the evening sung by our very own 'Jess'!" The bar owner, Cedric, called as people began to cheer loudly, almost to a deafening level. Neil and I both looked at each other as we saw a middle age woman walk on stage. She wore a very sparkly purple dress which reflected all the lights that were on her. She glowed in an awe-inspiring light that it was mesmerizing and enchanting.

"Thank you for having me back Cedric. And thank you everyone for welcoming me back here at Jay's Bar. I know that there were concerns about my future, but rest assured that Jay's Bar will always be my home away from home." She said to everyone as the crowd of people cheered and chanted her name. As so…she sang. She sang a magnificent cover of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" Her voice, her stage presence…it was perfect. I could see why people came to see her perform. This girl's aura…it had the ability to raise anyone's spirits…even those who's been dragged in the mud. Her voice was the breath of fresh air that these people needed and they were taking in deep breaths. I looked over at my partner, Neil Watts, to see him awe stuck as everyone else. I started to snap my fingers in front of his face to catch his attention and to bring him down on whatever cloud he was floating on.

"Neil! Stay with me, buddy."

"S-Sorry. I…" He started, adjusting his glasses. "She's really good, isn't she?"

"You can say that again. She really has everyone here mesmerized." I said, looking back at the audience singing along with her. Her voice was angelic…her highs and lows were smooth with no cracks, and she can hold a note for hours. I noticed the jar that was at her feet, slowly being stuffed with money from the patrons. "Whoa….those tips. If drinks weren't the thing that was keeping this bar open, it's definitely the generous donations." It was then Neil and I saw an elderly man get up from his seat across the room. And when I mean elderly, I mean a man with a cane and a balding head. He clearly was a man out of his element, but he carefully made his way to the stage. People who saw him coming graciously made way for him as he made it to the front. He then took out his wallet, removed what look like all the cash inside it, and placed it at the singer's feet rather than the jar. Maybe he was making a statement…maybe he was showing he's giving the money to her, rather than the 'tip' jar. Neil and I couldn't help but feel a bit sympathetic to this act of kindness. As the song ended and everyone started to move out of the bar, Neil and I decided now was the time to get to 'work'.

"Well, shall we? We're in for a long night." Neil said as I sighed. It was one of those all-night jobs and I deeply despise when things like this happen. It's not our patient's fault. I just wish that they have the common curiously to call us during the day rather than at night. But if they made a contract with us beforehand, then it's our duty to fulfill that contract.

…though it was strange….the condition for this contract is…unique.

We shuffled through the crowd, skillfully and sometimes not so skillfully dodging the bar patrons as we made our way towards the old man who was mustering all his strength to get up from his seat. We manage to get him right as he stood up. He definitely was an aged old man, visible wrinkles, balding grey hair, and a cane to support his weight. On his head was a fedora hat, looking just as aged as him. He looked at us with his tired brown eyes and tensed up.

"W-What do you want?"

"Good evening Mr. Robert Harro. My name is Eva Rosaline and this is Dr-"

"Captain Planet"

"-Neil Watts. We're from Sigmund Corp." I said as he looked at us again, taking note of our white coats before sitting back down. I couldn't tell if he was happy or sad to see us. And truthfully, it was always a heart breaking scene whenever they aren't happy to see us. As long as our business has been in operation, our job has been linked to death and manipulation. Urban tales and popular news sometimes call our company 'the angels of death and destruction'. There have been hot debates and protests about our methods and our services. We were here to give peace of mind…but our presence meant certain death.

"I can't afford your services…" We heard Robert say.

"That's interesting…because you already contacted our company. It's all be taken care of. Don't worry." I heard Neil say as a confused look spread across Robert's face. I really did wish there was another way of doing this, but time was precious to us. I looked over at Neil and nodded my head. He nodded back as he froze the memory we were in. And like a dying clock, time slowed down and came to a halt. Everyone around us stopped moving. Bar patrons, the bartender, even the clock mounted on the walls stopped. Robert looked around, deeply confused and very scared.

"W-what's going on?"

"Mr. Robert Harro. We are already in your memories. You can say that we are in your head already. Lily. Do you remember Lily?" I asked as his panicked look went straight to me.

"Lily? I-I don't know a 'Lily'." He said as Neil and I exchange looks. It as a weird detail, but I dismissed it for now.

"Well, either way, we are here for you Robert. We're here to make your last wish come true." I said as Robert slowly sat back down. "I know this is a lot to process at the moment. But you have to believe us."

"Not that you have a choice. All time stopped around you. Can't explain that." Neil added but I scoffed at him.

"Be more sensitive Neil. Sorry about that. So Robert, is there anything you wish to do? Anything that you want to relive or maybe there is a dream that you wish to achieve before you…well…"

"Kick the bucket?"

"Neil!"

"What? We're wasting time here! If we baby him too much then he might not tell us what he wants. I say we come straight tout so we can get moving. And if we mess up, we can always rest everything." Nil said but I glared at him.

"The time we save now is time save later. We don't want to go back and forth between memories because of faulty information." I said to him. Despite our best efforts to come up with a time saving strategy to approach our patient, the sound of the old man clearing his throat made us remember why we were here. "Oh…sorry about that Robert. Um…about that wish…" I said, bowing apologetically. I saw his eyes shift to look at something behind me. Both Neil and I looked back to see him staring at the singer that was coming off the stage and was about to head to the backroom. We looked back at Robert, still fixed on the lady in purple.

"Are you a fan of hers?"

He nodded his head.

"Do you want to meet her?"

He shook his head.

"But you gave her most of your money in tips…."

He nodded his head again.

"I guess this fan just wants to be anonymous, Eva." Neil said as Robert nodded his head once more. "So Robert, what do you want then?" Neil asked as it took him a minute to carefully phrase his request.

"I…I want her to sing for me."

"For you?" I repeated.

"I want her to sing one song for me. One…specific song." Robert said as Neil and I looked at each other. It was a simple request. A lot simpler than what the report told us. Robert Harro. Age seventy-two. His dream…to listen to 'Jess' sing one specific song to him: 'Daughters' by John Mayer. A simple request, but as I like to say: simple doesn't mean easy.

"If I may? Why" I said. "And why not just ask the bartender or the club owner to request the song. Why do you need us?" I asked a loaded question.

"Because she sings how she feels. She doesn't take request. Everything she sings…she decides on stage. Robert said. "I…I want her to sing that song to me. I've been a big fan of hers for a long time. Her voice as always brought up my spirits whenever I felt down on my luck. If it wasn't for her…I would probably be dead right now. I owe her a lot…and I give whatever I could to help her. It's selfish…but just being acknowledged by her and receiving a private show with her will give my entire life meaning. Up until now…I feel like I've been living a shell. I still am. But her voice is what fills me with the will to keep moving on. Her presence…reminds me that life has a meaning. Even if mine is forfeit and terrible, if I can make hers a little bit brighter then it'll be all be worth it….that my seventy-two years on this earth meant something to one person."

I scratched my head as Neil and I heard his little depressive rant. We knew we had a delicate situation on our hands now. This man, on file, has no family nearby. His parents moved out of the area a long time ago and he, quite forcefully, made a stand to stay in the city. Since then, he's been living by himself, living off of wages as a burger flipper at a teen hotspot. As far as the file goes, he has no wife or kids and his last relationship ended in tears. A depressing biography of our patient, but I can't say it was the saddest tale we've had to deal with. "Robert. We will do everything in our power to get you that private show." I said to him, trying to get his hopes up. He look at me, a flicker of hope filled his eyes.

"Do you mean it Ms. Rosaline?"

"We guarantee it." Neil said, a look of confidence irradiated from him. He look at us both before a small smile crept up his face. It was the first time seeing him happy this entire time, and I hope it wouldn't be the last.

"Thank you Doctors. Really…thank you. Even if you don't...you've put this hold man's heart at ease with your words."

"We don't just plan to tell you sweet words. We plan on following through with it." Neil said, smiling back at him. "But in order for us to help you, we need a start. Do you have something on you that can help us?"

"Like what?"

"Like an item of importance? Something that can help us better 'understand' you." Neil said, stretching the truth a bit. What we were looking for was a memento: an item that serves as a bridging point from one memory to another. The reason for Neil's choice of words is because whenever we mention memory leaps, the patient usually becomes defensive, unwilling to allow us to dive deeper in their head. With delicate cases like this, it would be very hard to get a start. Sure…we're essentially lying to them, but it's what they paid for, right? To be lied to? That's our business afterall. We saw Robert reach into his coat pocket and pull out a ticket stub. It was a white ticket stub with yellow lettering on it. As he set it down on the table, we saw the barrier that protected it from our meddling hands. On the stub it read: 'Absolution feat. 'Jess'. The date on it dated back five years ago.

"Thank you Robert. And don't worry. Put your trust in us. We will have 'Jess' singing for you in no time." I said as Neil already prepped the memento to and activated it. A bright white light irradiated from the small ticket stub and I felt our bodies shift from a cramped, stuffy bar to the open city air. I believed that the white light was still lingering after our time leap, but then I realize that we were seeing was not the reminisces of our leap, but the illumination of the bright white lights coming from the bar we were standing in front of. Like a Christmas tree, this three story building was decked with lights and bright signs, all saying the same thing: "Absolution".

"This is some club they have here…." I said, shielding my eyes from the bright lights.

"And those are some bouncers they have in the front. Looks like sneaking in isn't an option." Neil sighed. I couldn't help but slap my forehead.

"Idiot…we can make ourselves invisible!"

"But where's the fun in that?" He grinned at me. It was still night when we made the time leap. The weather was still nice but not cold enough to make us disable our senses…at least not yet. The ground was damp…as if it rained earlier that evening. What puzzled me was that why were we located outside the club rather than inside it. It was then, Neil found the answer. "Eva! Look!" He pointed as we saw the ticket stub that transported us here, but it was lying in a puddle. Not too far away from that puddle was an elderly man, face down in the garbage. It didn't take a genius to realize that man was Robert.

"Q-Quick! Let's get to him and…!" I started but someone else's shouting soon overtook my voice.

"And stay out old man! This club is for respectable adults!" A bald head bouncer yelled as Robert did his best to get back on his feet. I wanted to go over to help him up but I soon saw my solid self turn opaque, indicating that I was now invisible to everyone around me. I looked over at Neil, wanting an explanation, but all he did was gesture me quiet with a finger to his lips.

"I….paid for that ticket. I spent everything I had to get that ticket…!" Robert's hoarse voice call. He was sick. No doubt about it. And his voice and body posture indicated that he was weak, either due to the sickness or from being thrown out of the club…literally. He picked up his now wet ticket stub and brought it forwards. "I'm a patron! I demand to see her!"

"Go back to the nursing house, old man. You may have bought a ticket but we have the right to refuse service." The bouncer yelled back. "If you're going to cause problems like you did inside, then I will have to be rough with you again. And then maybe I'll call the police…maybe even an ambulance!" He laughed as Robert slowly made his way back to the front, straight at the bouncer. His breathing was heavy, his steps were slow and inconsistent, but his eyes were focused on the bouncer. He was in a state of rage, being fueled by adrenaline. I tried to intervene but I felt Neil hold me back.

"N-Neil! Please!"

"Eva…we must see this through…" Neil said, a hint of pain in his voice. I looked away. I couldn't bear to see what happened next.

There was a loud 'thud' sound.

Followed by the sound of a body hitting a puddle.

What came next was laughter.

Then silence.

I continued to hear footsteps walk past us…some of them stopping, but most of them continue to walk along. I did my best to regain my composure. I was a professional. I knew that in the end he would be ok. But it was hard…it was hard when your patient now laid at your feet, unconscious.

"He's really devoted, isn't he?"

"I-I'll say."

"Are you ok, Eva?" Neil asked. I couldn't respond right away. I really didn't like to see violence, especially when it came to things like this. All he wanted was entrance. He did his best to do that…he even got dressed for it. But to be shut down so easily…to have your life's work get torn down in mere seconds….it was heart wrenching.

"I'll…be fine." I said, as I finally looked down at Robert. "Looks like the memory stops here. Figures…hard to remember things when you get knocked out like that…" I said as Neil knelt down and looked at his hand. He was still clenching his ticket stub. I saw Neil go investigate the entrance to the club as I also started to look at Robert more closely. The suit he was wearing….there must have been a dress code to get in. Looks like he got it from a thrift store or something as it doesn't' seem like a high class brand. There are even holes in it…but still, a full suit must have cost him a fortune with his current income range. "Poor guy must have been saving for weeks." I said out loud.

"Try years…check out a general admission to this place." He Neil said as he pointed at the admission gate where the prices were. My eyes widen at the sight of the lowest ticket price.

"You got to be….THAT MUCH?" I said out loud. Granted it wasn't something overly overpriced, but it did make my wallet hurt. "To think this man was able to save enough to buy a ticket and get a suit."

"Life is cruel sometimes…"

"Not like this…" I added as I walked back to where Robert laid. "At least we can take solace in one thing though…"

"Oh? What's that?"

"This 'Jess' girl ultimately went back to Jay' Bar."

"Yeah…I wonder why…."

"Let's hope it's because of good intentions….I would hate to think that this 'Jess' girl is doing it all for the money." I said as I saw something glimmer in the distance. "I think I see the next memento." I said as I walk to the trash bin.

"Dumpster diving? Isn't that kinda…sad? I mean, we're not millionaires, but our income isn't low enough to resort to that….not that we can take it back to the real world. Er…not that I've tried!"

"Shut up, Neil. I think I found the next memento…" I said as I saw a pamphlet for the club "Absolution" laying near the trash can. I knelt down and felt the barrier that was protecting the folded piece of paper. "It's a pamphlet to the club." I said to Neil as he came over. He hovered his hand over it and shattered the barrier that was around it with a resounding

"Mind Break!"

"Yu-Gi-Oh? You're going with Yu-Gi-Oh today?" I asked, a bit annoyed by his antics every time we had to do this.

"I don't know what's more embarrassing. The fact that I said that unconsciously, not knowing where it came from until now…or that you knew where it came from almost instantly.

"Keep those thoughts to yourself. I just happen to remember it because my younger brother watches that show a lot." I said in self-defense.

"You're an only child Eva."

"Preparing to jump." I quickly aid as a blinding white light emitted from the pamphlet and lit up the entire memory. As the light dimmed down, we were standing back at Jay's Bar with the pamphlet sitting on a table. Sitting at the table was Robert and a man who looks about the same age as. His hair was slicked back and his moustache was trimmed in a perfect straight line across his upper lip. I recognized this man from the other memory. If I recall, this name's name is Cedric…and he was the owner of the bar.

"I'm sorry Robert…but she's moved on to bigger and better things." Cedric said as a depressed sigh escaped Robert's lips. "You didn't think that she would stay here forever. I can hardly compete with the offer the club proposed to her. And you know the bind she is in. She lives alone in a very shady part of town. If she had extra money to spare to move out of her unsafe conditions I wouldn't blame her for taking the offer sooner.

"But she's the star jewel to this place Cedric. What will this bar do without her?" Robert said, his vision fixated on the pamphlet to 'Absolution'.

"We will manage. I'll hire new entertainment."

"It wouldn't be the same. They won't be 'Jess'."

"I know, but I have to. If I don't, then this place will go under."

"Then why did you let her go? You should have begged her to stay! You could have increased her pay and-"

"You know I can't do that! The business we got here is thanks to 'Jess', I fully acknowledge that! But what can I do? She always believed that this place was home to her. She didn't know her father but I was basically one to her. But I knew she couldn't stay here forever. I saw the opportunity to give her a better life…a life away from the drunken bar entertainment scene….the same gig, but at a better place. A place that's more respected. A place that will treat her right. I'm not her biological father, but dammit I would give up everything I had if it meant a better life for her. She doesn't deserve to live like this. Her talent…it shouldn't be wasted on the likes of us. The world needs to hear her…and 'Absolution' is her best bet." Robert didn't say anything…and I think I understood why. He, too, felt the same way. He must have seen her like a daughter he never had. His continuous support for her was what kept him going. To see her up and move to bigger and better things…you would think it would be the best moment in a parent's life. But in reality, it's the parents that suffers the most. They can no longer watch over their child. They don't know what's really out there. Even though at this time, 'Jess' is a grown woman, these men still look after her….despite that they are all equal in terms of social status.

"She was always there for me whenever I felt down. She's the reason I came here time and time again. If she leaves…so do I."

"So what? You're going to go to 'Absolution' too? News flash, you're on minimum wage. The tickets to get into this place is almost triple the amount you make a week! Don't kid yourself…tonight may be the last performance 'Jess' does for this place-"

"No! I refuse to believe that! Even if I have to get two more jobs, I will see her again! She's my angel! My will to move on from this life we live in. She means something to me! And she means something to you too. And what are you going to do? You're just going to sit there as your 'daughter' goes off?" Robert yelled, at Cedric which cased Cedric to stand straight up.

"She's not my daughter nor yours!" Cedric screamed out loud. It was a good thing that the bar was still closed or else this would definitely cause a big scene. Cedric was staring intensely at Robert and he was doing the same. "I don't know why you're so obsessed with this woman. For God's sake…she's twenty years younger than you! Twenty years! You claim you love her like a daughter, but I think there's more to it than that!" It was then Robert did something I wouldn't dream of him doing. He got up and threw a punch at Cedric, knocking Cedric down to the ground.

"How dare you say that to me! I hold her in the highest regard than anyone in this world. I would never dream of doing things to such angel. For her to be defiled in that way, physically or verbally, is inexcusable!

"You bastard!" Cedric yelled, rolling to his side and wiping the blood that was forming in the corner of his mouth. "Do you think she's that sacred? That' she's really that 'pure? She's human like the rest of us. I don't know what kind of obsession you have with her, but you clearly have problems!"

"I have problems?! I think it's you that has problems! I think YOU are the one that has feelings for the young girl!"

"You do have problems! And I can't believe it has come to this. I always respected you, Robert. Not as a patron, but as a friend! To hit me and then tell ME that I have an obsession with someone that's twenty years younger than me? You really have snapped" Cedric said, staggering to get up. "I hereby ban you from ever coming back to Jay's Bar. You're no longer welcome here. If I ever see you here again, I'll make sure that you won't walk out of here without chains on your wrist." The two men stared at each other with much intensity that if looks can kill, they both would be dead ten times over. Robert turned around and started to walk away from Cedric.

"I will get in 'Absolution'. I will see her again."

"Yeah right you poor bastard. If that happens, I'll let you back in and give you drinks for free!" Cedric taunted.

"Heh, then you better have a cold glass waiting for me. I'll show you that I, too, can rise in the ranks of poverty to be one of the elites." With that, Robert walked out of the bar and Cedric let out a disappointed scoff. He looked at the table where his 'friend' once sat and just shook his head.

"Dumb bastard…he even left his hat here." Cedric said, picking it up and examining every inch of it before placing it back on the table. "If he does come back…I'll give this back to him ." The memory stopped there and I was amazed by what I saw. Such a heated discussion over one girl. I was almost surprised that Neil decided to stick around rather than go memento hunting.

"She means a lot to this place, huh?" Neil said.

"More than she ever knew. But it's not about her. It's about Robert." I pointed out as Neil rubbed his chin.

"So how do you feel about dating younger men?"

"I really hope this isn't some leeway to date you." I scoffed as Neil laughed at my suggestion.

"Good one, but no."

"My opinion about it?"

"Yeah."

"Well…allow me to answer your question with another question. How would you feel about dating a ten year old when you're thirty." The fact that Neil didn't respond right away entitled me to punch him in the arm as hard as I could.

"Ow! Eva!"

"Perv. Stay away from schools."

"You didn't let me answer!" Neil said, rubbing his arm.

"Like you really need to think about something like that!"

"Well duh I have to." Neil said as I cocked back another punch, aiming right at the same spot I hit him before. "B-Because I'm not thirty yet! That's why I couldn't answer right away!"

"It doesn't matter what age you are! You shouldn't be dating ten year olds to begin with!" I yelled at him.

"So what about this case? 'Jess' is about thirty. He's about fifty…or so. Would that be ok?" Neil asked. I crossed my arms and glared at him.

"No."

"What? Why? They're both adults! Shouldn't two adults who love each other should be together." Neil asked as I notice a barrier around Robert's hat. I carefully prepared the memento and removed the barrier around it.

"You're forgetting one thing."

"Oh? What?"

"We don't know how 'Jess' feel about him. Afterall, she has never met the man before." I said as I activated the time leap. We were engulfed by the white light again and phased right back into Jay's Bar at a different location from where we phased out of the last memory.

We saw a young Robert Harro sitting at a table a little bit farther away from where we saw him sit in the beginning of the memory leaps. He looked younger…much younger since the last jump. His skin was smooth and healthy and his hair was full with no grey hairs in sight. It was a huge leap we did and we only notice how big it was when we saw a much younger Cedric walk up to Robert, pint of beer in his hands.

"First drink for newcomers is on the house." Cedric said as we saw Robert reach for this wallet but then instantly retracted, a smile of gratitude on his face.

"Thank you kind sir. You wouldn't believe the day I've had."

"You don't need to share it here Mr.?"

"Robert."

"Cedric. Nice to meet you. As I was saying…this place isn't a place to get moody after a hard day's work. My father, Jay, made this bar for the poor folk to come and forget about their worries. To come here and offer a place for the weary to just sit and unwind…that was the dream behind this place." Cedric said, looking around at the other bar patrons who were engaging in conversation, having a good time.

"That's a mighty big dream he had…" Robert said, taking a sip of his beer. With a very enthusiastic 'ahhh', he placed his drink down and looked at Cedric. "Where is your old man now?"

"Jay? Watching from heaven, I suppose. "

"I'm sorry…I didn't know…"

"It's quite alright. He died young, but his legacy lives…right? I manage to keep this bar running for now and I will keep doing so until this place burns down or is condemned." Cedric said, sighing a bit. Robert took another sip of his beer.

"Must be hard trying to run a place that's catered to the lower middle class. How do you keep this place afloat?"

"I'm glad you asked. It's true I've been struggling…but I got myself some entertainment. She's my crowning jewel…an angel that's sent from God. Or more like her mother..." Cedric said as all of us heard the sound of someone walking on stage. There, we saw a very young 'Jess' walk on stage. She didn't wear anything fancy. She had a plain dress on ad her hair was tied up on a bun. As she took stage, everyone who was in conversation instantly became quiet. Robert, on the other hand, didn't stay quiet.

"W-What is this? What kind of bar is this place? How old is she?" Can she even work here at that age?"

"Shhh…I'll explain when the performance is over." Cedric said as 'Jess' talked into the microphone that was set up.

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is 'Jess' and I'm your entertainment this evening. I want to thank you all for coming out tonight to hear me sing. Any donations will go to keeping this bar open because at 'Jay's Bar, we're family.' She rattled off, figuring that was a line that Cedric wanted her to say every time she performed. "This song is dedicated to everyone here that's suffering from heart break…it's a song that close to me since…my own boyfriend broke up with me today…" She said as the crowd started to boo and cruse at the boyfriend that they never met. "But as long as I have family like you guys, I know I'll find someone better. So please…accept my song." 'Jess' said as she began to sing. Her voice…from then and now…hasn't missed a step. It was still the same engaging and perfectly balanced tone of highs and lows that I had no idea that the human voice could mix together and project in a matter that can both be soothing but at the same time, being able to hear the pain in her heart. Everyone was mesmerized again…and poor Robert…he was so mesmerized by this girl that the pint of beer slipped from his hand and spilt all over the ground.

"Don't worry about it, Mr. Harro. I'll get you another one." Cedric said as he got up.

"Wait! Who…who is that?"

"Her? She's 'Jess', the daughter of a woman that I know. She's a single mom raising her to the best of her abilities but right now they're in a financial slump. She begged me for help and I couldn't help but notice this girl's voice. It was a voice that I have never heard before. I mean…there were idols, but her voice…it just has a way of reaching the soul. I knew I could use her to keep this bar afloat…and she could use the extra money she gets in tips to keep her family afloat as well. She's young, yes…but that doesn't change to fact that she's doing what she's going in order to survive. She needs this…and who am I to deny someone the right to life?"

"Single mom…what happen to her father?"

"Don't know. When I asked, her mother would say he died but I don't believe that. I think he walked out on them…That good for nothing."

"She's…she's so young. To be using her talent to stay alive.. I…I want to help her."

"And you can. When she's done singing you can tip her. I told her all the tips she makes, she can keep. I make all my revenue from the door cover charge and drinks. She sometimes gives me a cut of the tip, but I always give it back to her in one way or another. I couldn't keep anything she makes with her own talent. It isn't right."

"…this girl. To know and see what's it's like to be as poor as us."

"She definitely will have it rough from here on out. Especially if her voice loses it's 'magic'."

"No…I won't let that happen. I will support her."

"You and everyone else…" Cedric said as the song finished and everyone was in clapping and cheering. Most importantly, everyone was going to the front and giving her money. "Everyone here is family to her and she need their support to survive. If you give her money, you will be part of her family as well." It was that push that made Robert get up. He walked towards the stage, his hand already opening his wallet to give her money. It was a small moment, but from the thick crowd of people trying to push their way forward and push their way out, 'Jess' and Robert's eyes met. He reached for whatever bill was in his wallet, took it out, and handed it directly to her. Their vision never broke. He stared at her how a parent would stare at a child that was hurt, and she was staring at him like a child receiving a reward for doing a good job.

"Thank you." She said to him. He nodded and her attention went to the other people trying to give her money. It was that moment we know that this was the start of Robert's obsession…and where the dream of him wanted her to sing to him. Of course this presented a problem for Neil and me. We saw where the dream started…but we have no idea how to get him a private audience with Robert, let alone make her sing a specific song.

"What now? I mean…this is where it starts, right?" Neil said as I scratched my head.

"She sings songs about how she feels that night. I mean…based off that, if she feels like she's a daughter being loved by her father, then she would sing that song." I said to Neil but I knew that would be a hard thing to do. "Seeing how looks at everyone here as uncles, aunts, brothers, and sisters, I really don't think there's a point where she felt like she was a daughter.

"What about Robert? He saw her as a daughter."

"Yes, but this is probably the only time she acknowledges him at all. The next time she would do so is near the end of his life when she comes back from Absolution." I pointed out. "It would be hard…since she saw everyone here as family. And Cedric said it himself…she never had a father. And the song is about a father's love for her daughter…"

"So what do we do? None of the memories we saw can really help up. All we can do is try to influence the first memory so that she sings 'daughters' rather than 'somewhere over the rainbow'. This, I might add, was a very appropriate song for the evening." Neil said as we both sat down at the closest open table. It was indeed tough…but somehow I wasn't surprise. Lately, the toughest jobs were the ones where the patient wanted something near the middle of his life and not at the beginning. Traveling father into his head wouldn't actually help us since he will not meet 'Jess' until now.

"Maybe it's just one of those times where we really can't do anything. I mean, remember Julie? She wanted to own a puppy but she was deathly allergic to them. We can up with the baby solution, but it wasn't really what she wanted." Neil said as he took the bottle of beer that was on the table and took a swig out of it.

"That's not yours." I quickly pointed out as she did a spit take. "But that was really a limitation we couldn't simply ignore. It was genetics. That's different. Besides, it wasn't the puppy she wanted. She just wanted to feel like a mother. This…this is just a girl that refuses to sing songs that she's not feeling that night." I said as I looked at 'Jess' from our seats.

"Why not just strong arm her to do it?"

"Because violence obviously solves all problems."

"With a strong enough arm, it does."

"Quiet Neil." I said as I began to think. The only way to get her to sing a song like that is to get her to feel like a daughter. And not one by affiliation, but one like an actual father loving his daughter. But with her father missing and Robert being as reliable as a wet match in a dark cave…this would be hard. The best approach is to make Robert take command and make his presence known to 'Jess'. "Neil, ready for some mind manipulation?"

"About time." He said as he started to input commands. "What do you want to do? You have a plan?"

"I do. Restart the memory. But bring us it ten seconds right when Robert gives his money to 'Jess'. I said. Neil nodded as all I heard was beeping from the controls he possessed and in a cartoony way, everything was happening in reverse. We saw people walk backwards, spit out drinks rather than swallow them, and a whole lot of erratic behavior that can only be explained by saying 'they're doing backwards.' Neil stopped the flow of time to the point where Robert just about to give 'Jess' his money. "That's good. Right here. Make us visible and follow my lead." I said as he nodded. With a push of a button, time went back to normal and I saw my opaque hand turn solid again. Just as Robert was about to walk away from the stage, I quickly cut him off.

"Oh! Excuse me!" I said, 'accidentally' bumping into him.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't see you." He quickly said, looking backwards towards 'Jess'.

"She…she sure is good isn't, she?"

"Yeah…never heard a voice like hers…."

"Yeah. Can you believe sings in a place like this? She needs someone to watch other her…she needs a father figure she can go she can see bigger and better places rather than sing here with the rest of us."

"The rest of us? You're a doctor, aren't you? Why are you grouping yourself like that?" Robert said as my face turned red. We were still wearing our white coats. I messed up….and Neil was laughing a few feet away.

"I…er…well…..RESET!" I yelled. At that instant, a white flash of light emitted from the fedora memento engulfed everyone. As the light faded, we were back at the point where we first entered the memory. "Damn I messed that one up good."

"Yes you did. Now it's my turn." Neil said, fast-forwarding to the same point where I tried to manipulate Robert. This time, Neil took off his lab coat and handed it to me, He untucked his shirt and made his tan business pants as baggy as possible before looking over at me. "Watch how it's done." He said as he resumed the memory. As Robert turned away to walk back to his table, Neil stepped in front of him. "Of, excuse me sir. I'm trying to give my tip to 'Jess'. You see she's means he world to me and-"

"Excuse me." Robert said as he easily side stepped Neil. He stood there dumbfound as I began to laugh at him. "RESET!"

Again, the whole memory restarted itself and I continued to laugh. "I guess that means that he only have eyes for girls. Sorry about that Neil. Looks like to him, you're just another patron for her."

"Yuck it up all you want, Rosaline. We'll see who's the one that'll get him to play an active role in 'Jess's life. That was your plan, right?"

"Maybe…" I said, not wanting to admit it. While it's true that Robert played a passive roll in his actual life, if he was more active, then 'Jess' would clearly see him as a 'father'. At least, that was the plan going in.

However…two hours later…

"This is pointless! He just ignores me and he sees you as an abomination!"

"I'm not an abomination to him! It would seem he's too fixated on 'Jess' to register anyone else in his mind." I corrected.

"Yeah…but we tried manipulating him before Cedric arrives but that made things worse." Neil said as we both said down, utterly defeated.

"I'm starting to feel that this may be an impossible request…" I said, exhausted.

"I always thought that my first impossible request is a wish for a T-Rex."

"Can't we just send the kid to a museum and have his name on the plaque, dedicated to him?"

"Too easy. I'm talking about a real dinosaur." I stared at him just because of how dumb that was.

"Either way…we seem to be gridlocked. We can't move on from here." Neil said as he sat up on his chair. "What do we do now?"

"I don't know…" I said, looking at my mini heart rate monitor in my pocket. Robert is still holding on and it would seem that he's still in stable condition. I knew something we could do, but it really won't help us at all at this point.

"Well….we can…"

"Keep traveling backwards?" Neil cut me off. I raised an eyebrow at him. I was about to say we can head back to reality, but this thought was a close second. Truthfully, there was nothing to gain from going backwards. He would not meet Jess in his past since she won't be born. If anything we'll just learn more about the man that is Robert Harro.

"Well…" I started. "….maybe there is something we can use to solve this case." I said to Neil as he nodded with excitement. It may be invasion of privacy at this point, but curiosity got the best of me. I'm human…so sue me. I just wanted to see if there was, at any point, a time where Robert was happy. Maybe his teen years or his childhood was at least fun. Somehow, without me knowing, Neil found and prepared the next memento for travel.

"Man…this fedora really goes back, doesn't it?"

"It must have sentimental value. I wouldn't be surprise if this is the same memento for all his memories. He seems to have kept it in great condition over the years." I said to him as Neil activated the leap.

The hat was a lot older than what we give it credit for. Neil and I found ourselves somewhere that was both sunny and outdoors….a major difference from the dark bar scene that most of the memories Robert has. Even though it was a beautiful day outside, the mood was still heavy. We saw Robert sitting on a bench with a girl next to him. She had curly brown hair that went down to her shoulders and she had pink clips in her hair. Both of them had solemn expressions on their face as neither of them said a word. It was a shame…because I was really hoping that there would be some kind happy moment in this man's life. All he could remember is everything sad…

"So what are you going to do?" I heard Robert say to the girl as she looked at him, a look of surprise mixed with anger.

"What am I going to do? Don't you mean what are WE going to do?" She corrected, but the way he reacted to that didn't seem like he liked the idea that he was now being pulled into her trouble.

"W-we? I did everything the instructions said to do! I even asked a few friends about it. You know embarrassing it was to ask them something like that?" He countered, but this made her furious.

"You TOLD them about it!"

"I didn't say it was for you-!"

"So now they think you're cheating on me?" She screamed at him.

"Oh my God, what's going on….!" He said to himself, utterly defeated by her quick conclusion-making skills…regardless of how right or wrong they are.

"What's going on is….is that I'm pregnant." She said, as calmly as she could. Neil and I both reacted the same way…well, I guess we reacted in a way you should normally react when you realize you're going to be a mother or father: shocked and surprised.

"I thought you said he didn't have kids!" I heard Neil say to me but I hushed him quiet.

"Robert started to shift uncomfortably in his seat. The girl just sat there, waiting for some kind of response from him. It would seem an eternity as past before Robert said the one thing that I could think of that would make sense, especially since we knew how his life would ultimately turn out to be.. "…so are you thinking about aborting the baby?"

"I don't know…my parents don't even know yet."

Again, silence.

"There is no way that she kept it. I mean, we would have on record that that Robert had a child." Neil said as I nodded.

"It's not possible…but then again, we are human. Who's to say that our system is perfect? It may miss something like this…"

"Something important like a baby? Assets? Family? I doubt our system would ignore something like that." Neil reasoned before the girl spoke again.

"I…I plan to keep it."

"What?"

"The baby…I want to keep the baby."

"Mary you can't!"

"Who are you to say I can't! IT's my baby! IT's inside me! You have no idea what kind of mental strain I'm going through! And it's you that did this to begin with!" She yelled again.

"I did everything right! I read everything there was about protection! I….You…you can't be a mother! We're too young! It'll ruin us!" Robert yelled back at her. Thankfully it was an empty area around them…this could have definitely caused a scene if anyone they knew was around.

"Robert….please I…I know that we're too young. But this is a baby. This is a human life inside me. We cannot deny it that." Mary pleaded.

"But it will cause our quiet easy life to crash and burn, Mary. We are in no position to take care of a child. We're seniors in high school! What about college? And graduating high school! We can't let one mistake-"

"OUR BABY IS NOT A MISTAKE!" Mary screamed with all her might. Everyone was silent. Neil and I both knew where this would go. We've seen it way too many times in our line of work…but it didn't make it that much easier every time we heard it.

"I….I don't need you…" Mary said, choking back tears.

"Mary I-"

"DON'T TOUCH ME!"

"Mary! Please I'm…I'm sorry I…" Robert tried to reason but he knew it would be hard connecting with her now. "This is all…coming at me so fast that I said some things I didn't mean to say. Really." Robert sighed. "Being a father….in this time and age. Not to mention that my family is barely keeping themselves out of the red. Dammit…and they work so hard to get me through high school I-" Robert started because cutting himself off, trying to stifle tears. "…I can't let them down. But I can't let my child down either. I just…I don't know what to do."

"Promise me…"

"Huh?"

"Promise me that you'll be in the child's life." Mary said, tears already coming down her eyes. It's all she wanted. Even if she had to raise it and take all the heat, all she wanted to hear was that he would be there if she needed him. Robert looked at Mary in the eyes and then down at her stomach were his unborn child laid.

"Yeah…Yeah of course. Of course I'll be there. He's our child, right?" He said. For the first time after arriving in this memory, Mary smiled. She tried to wipe away the tears that were still lingering but fail to realize that she was still crying.

"Idiot…you mean she's our child." She corrected.

"Yeah right. It'll be a boy. I'm sure of it."

"…I guess we'll see…right?" Mary said as they both hugged each other close to one another, not wanting to let go. The memory ended there and Neil and I looked at each other, both of us coming to the same realization.

"…she miscarried." I said to Neil.

"Or she actually aborted it…"

"I guess this is where it all stemmed from. This is why he's so obsessed with having a daughter."

"Though it is odd that he would like that song. I thought he wanted a boy."

"Idiot…there are no romantic songs about boys….none that is impacting as the song he picked." I said. "I guess he would have been fine either way. Boy or Girl. Maybe he was mentally prepared to be a father. I mean, he got himself a job as a burger flipper that he ultimately stuck with for the rest of his life. Maybe he just couldn't quiet it. It was all for the baby. If he quiet, he would have acknowledge that he has no son or daughter to support."

"So he's a man who never knew when to let go?"

"If you want to be cynical about it, sure. But…he must have found comfort in 'Jess'. She's a girl who grew up poor…a scenario he believes that his own daughter or son would have been living if he or she was actually born.

"So he projected his feelings of not having a child…to another child huh?" Neil said, rubbing his chin.

"It would seem so…." Both Neil and I both remain quiet, thinking to ourselves.

"At least it rules out that he was into pedophilia."

"There is that…" I said, a bit relieved, but still not the answer I was initially looking for when we first came here. I started to wander again, looking for the next memento.

"Eva? What are you doing? You want to go deeper?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"Because I believe this man was happy. I really do. There was no way this man could have lived this long this miserable." I said to Neil.

"Would you let it go? Sometimes life is a bitch and it deals the worse possible hand to someone. They can't all be winning hands. That's just how life works." Neil said but I refused to believe him. I found the next memento, in the form of a backpack. It looks like it was Mary's backpack. I removed the barrier and prepped the memento for the next memory when I felt Neil's hand grab my arm.

"What do you plan to achieve from this?"

"Closure."

"You're going in to deep Eva. I never thought I would say this, but I think you're getting too attached to our patient."

"I just want to believe that this man was happy at one point in his life. Is that too much to ask?" I yelled at him. Neil stared at me as I stared back. "Even a blind mouse will find cheese eventually." I muttered as Neil closed his eyes. He reached over to the backpack and activated the memento sending us back in his memories once more.

Where we ended up wasn't too far away from where we left. We look like we were in the same park in the same open area near the same bench. For a minute, I thought we went nowhere. But there was a difference. Robert and Mary, a few years younger. They were standing close to each other, hands clasped. They said something to each other, I wasn't sure what. But the next moment, they kissed. It was all I needed to believe in humanity again. It was all the proof I need why I did my job. I strongly believe we can make our own happiness. I believe that Robert had the potential to be happy but something kept getting in his way. It was this memory that made me remember why I was working with Sigmund Corp. I wanted to bring happiness to people. Even if it's fabricated…the last thing a person should feel before they die is to die with no regrets.

"There Eva. Your wish come true. He's happy. But now what?"

"…I want to implant this as his last memory…."

"ARE YOU ON CRACK?"

"He deserves to be happy Neil! You've seen his life….he couldn't have the daughter he wanted….he worked hard to see a girl he saw that could fill the void of not having a child and his efforts were dashed away. All he wanted was a happy memory to die with. It's that our jobs?"

"I can't believe I'm saying this to you, but our job is to fulfill the contract. Our contract is not 'relive his teenage crush.' It is 'to get 'Jess' to sign 'Daughters' to him. You're not complying with our company standards."

"At least let the man die happy!" I yelled at him. "The man has suffered all through his life. His current wish is unattainable with the current flow of memories. Too many things is out of our control. However…we can control this. We can make this his last memory before he passes on. Please Neil. If I could I would, but you're the technician." I pleaded. Neil rolled his head, battling with this conscious about the ethical thing to do. Finally, Neil caved in.

"Fire! But we're getting consent from Lily before we do anything…" Neil said as he started to input the commands to bring us back home, back to reality. It was for a moment, but a third girl came after the kiss and started cheering for the both of them. It was small, but I heard dialog between the three of them.

"Congratulations Robert and Mary! I knew you two would be together!"

"Thank you. If it wasn't for you we won't be like this."

"Just invite me to the wedding alright?"

"Wedding? If anything you'll be our-"

We came back from Robert's memories to be greeted with a familiar scene. We were at a hospital, way after visiting hours. Because of our scope of work, we were allowed to come in and do these kinds of things. The guardian looking over Robert, Lily, patiently waited for us to come back.

"Oh, Doctors. Welcome back." She said to us, helping Neil take off his helmet. She had grey and black hair that went past her shoulders and ended near the middle of her back. She had an orange rose pin in her hair her hair with matching orange earrings. If I had to judge…I would say they were the same age as Robert.

"Thank you Lily." Neil said as I took off my helmet.

"Thanks Lily." I said as I got up and looked over Robert. His vitals are ok and he's perfectly stable. Our 'early' return would definitely show that we manage to do our job successfully, but I didn't want to inform her…not yet. "So how's he doing, Lily?"

"Robert? Sleeping like a baby." She said.

"It's still amazing that you were able to recognize him as a classmate from high school." Neil said as Lily smiled, looking over at Robert.

"The only reason I recognized him is because he use to date my best friend. They sadly moved away from each other at the end of high school. I don't know where he went, but she was devastated by it. But…life moves on I suppose."

"High school romances never last, do they?" I heard Neil sighed as I nudged him, trying to keep him focused. "But why pay for our services? I mean…it's not cheap you know." Neil added.

"Trust me when I say that this is what her ex probably wanted…" Lily trailed. "So where you able to do it Doctors? Were you abele to make his wish come true?" Lily asked as she looked at us with hopeful eyes. Neil and I looked at each other, knowing of the bad news we had to give.

"Well Lily, you see…"

"Lily?" A girl called from the doorway. There, standing with a shocked expression on her face was a middle age girl with brown hair. Her eyes sparkled as she seems to radiate a sense of…calmness. Of course it was a mixed bag since she's clearly exhibiting an aura of surprise.

"Jessica? What are you doing here? How did you get in? It's past visiting hours."

"I told them that you were my mother that recently got into a terrible accident. But that's beside the point. The landlord said that you got rushed to the hospital. Are you alright? Are you ok?"

"I'm ok my dear. Calm down. You may be an adult but you still worry like a baby." Lily said as she hugged the girl from the doorway.

"Idiot…I thought you were sick or got injured. If I lost you then I…"

"Excuse me…." I interrupted. Jessica and Lily looked over at us as both Neil and I were looking at them with chocked expressions. "…we've seen you before."

"You have?"

"Jess….is short for Jessica….right?" Neil said as Jessica nodded.

"Um…yes. Yes it is. What are you getting at?"

"Excuse me, but may we borrow you for a minute?" I said as I walked over to her. She recoiled away from me, which is understandable. But with 'Jess' here, we can actually make Robert's wish come true. There is no 'mind manipulation' that needs to be done. She can sing for him personally!

"What do you want rom me? Who are you?"

"I'm Eva Rosaline and this is-"

"Prince Charming."

"-Neil Watts. We're from Sigmund Corp and we're acting on the behalf of Robert Harro." I finished. Jess looked over at the man who was sleeping in the hospital bed. Her face was full of curiosity as she look at the man, but a few puzzling face gestures suggest she kind of knew who he was.

"This man. I've seen him before. Robert was his name? Hmm…yes. I think I've seen him in the bar I go to. I sing at this bar called-"

"Jay's Bar. We know…" Neil said as Jessica cautious looked at us.

"How did you know that?"

"I've seen you in his memories." I added.

"Oh….well…I guess that makes sense. He's been to the bar almost every day. He's very generous with his tips as well. It makes me feel really guilty sometimes. He would slowly walk to the stage, pull out his wallet and literally give me everything out of it. I've seen this man age in front of me and he's seen me grow up. I guess in a way, he's been like-"

"A father?" I suggested. She stopped in mid-sentence to process what I said. But she ultimately nodded.

"It a weird way…yes. He's always here…listening to me sing, clapping for me for my performance, and graciously giving me tips. Without his constant contribution and support, maybe I wouldn't be where I am now." Jessica said to us as Neil crossed his arms.

"But out of all the patrons, why remember him? I'm sure you had a lot of regulars that have talked to you and praise you. Just a moment ago you didn't know who he was."

"True…" Jessica said as she clasp her hand over his. "But I would always see a man that sat as close to the stage as he could, wearing that aged fedora. He was my marker. He was the one that I could rely on that will give me support when I needed it. We didn't have to say anything…because it wasn't needed. I just known him as a guy with the fedora. But in a sense…I guess you can call him my dad.

"Then will you help us, Jess?" Neil started "All Robert wanted before he dies is a private audience of your singing Daughters by John Mayer.

"Daughters?" Jessica said, looking over at me then at Neil. "…I love that song."

"We meet again Robert. Well I guess we're meeting again for the first time. But in truth we've met before." Neil said as he approached the aged old Robert. I sighed as I pushed Neil away, knowing that he'll just complicate things.

"Move Neil. Men are talking." I said, receiving a 'hey' in retaliation.

"I'm Eva. This is Neil. We're from Sigmund Corp. You've heard of us before…right?" I stated as I saw Robert nodded.

"Yes…Yes I've heard of Sigmund Crop. I'm sorry about I cannot afford your services." He said.

"Yes yes, we've heard you say that before. The thing is…we're here to make your wish come true, regardless." I said as I signaled Neil to start.

"W-What do you mean?" Neil input commands into this device and one by one, the bar patrons started to disappear. Robert when into a panic. He tried to get up but I kept him down on his seat, knowing that he did not want to miss this.

"Calm down, Robert. Everything will be ok."

"L-Let me go! Who are you! I-"

"R-Robert?" A voice called on stage. We all looked over to see the memory of Jess be replaced with the actual Jess, dressed up in a long sparkling red dress. Thanks to some tampering on Neil's end, he was able to give whatever clothes Jessica wanted.

"She…she knows my name? How? "He asked, looking at me. I just smile as Neil joined me heading to the back seats. This was a private show afterall.

"Just enjoy the song…dad." I said as Jess brought the microphone to her lips and started to sing.

The sun was slowly rising as Neil, Lily, and I were walking out of the hospital. Jessica decided to stay and watch over Robert until his time finally came. As we made it to the car, I felt a sigh of relief escape my lips.

"Thank God that all-nighter is done. Now we get to go back home and sleep…" I said, Neil laughing in celebration.

"I am going to sleep like a king!"

"Must be hard for you two…to go into memories and manipulate them so their wishes come true." Lily observed.

"Well…this one wasn't easy. To tell you the truth, we were running out of options. It was lucky that Jessica showed up when she did." Neil said.

"Indeed. Here…here is some money." I said, reaching into my lab pocket for some money. "Use it to call a cab and give some to Jessica so she can get home too." I said to her but she decline my offer.

"No. Please. I'll be taking her home myself." Lily said, and both Neil and I rose an eyebrow.

"You'll be taking her home? Do you live together or something?" I asked but she shook her head.

"Oh no. We don't. But she comes by often to my place to talk and converse. I'm sure this death is something she would want to talk about it." I stared at Lily in disbelief.

"Lily?"

"Yes?"

"What is your relationship to Jessica?"

"Our relationship?" Lily repeated my question. "Why…I'm her Godmother."

The drive back was silent for the next ten minutes. I couldn't believe what I heard, neither can Neil.

"We could have avoided all that if we just asked her who her God child is…" Neil muttered but I shook my head.

"That's not a normal question to ask someone."

"True…but it would help." He said as she singled a left turn.

"Her Godmother…why does that ring such a loud…" I start, but then I realized something. The last memory we went into before heading back to reality…the memory of Robert and Mary getting together.

If anything, you'll be our-!

""It can't be…" I muttered as recalled the rest of that sentence.

"What?" Neil asked.

you'll be our Godmother for our children!

"Mary had the child…"

"W-What are you talking about?"

"Think about it Neil! If Mary had the child…a girl, let's say. Before we left Robert's memory to return to the real world, I heard a small conversation between Robert, Mary, and a third girl. Mary said that she the third girl was responsible to getting them together."

"So…?"

"Mary also promised that the girl will be her Godmother…" I said, watch Neil's face. It went from confused, to more confused, and then suddenly went to shock.

"That means…!"

The only reason I recognized him is because he use to date my best friend. They sadly moved away from each other at the end of high school. I don't know where he went, but she was devastated by it. But…life moves on I suppose.

My relationship to Jessica? I'm her Godmother.

"If anything, you'll be our Godmother for our children!

The points came together in one, big, ugly circle.

"Jessica…is Robert's daughter." I said slowly.

"Robert never knew that all this time he was supporting his daughter…the daughter he wished he had." Neil swallowed hard. "He spent his entire life…running away. Mary didn't miscarry or have an apportion. He must have run away from the idea of being a father. And since then, he regretted that decision ever since."

"He found comfort in Jess because she resembled what his theoretical child would have been, age-wise. He was linked to her so he supported her like a passive father would of his daughter."

"He probably wondered whatever happened to his child. He must have believed his only child is worlds apart from him. And not only that, but she never knew who her father was. Probably believed that she would never meet him ever in her life. Big world out there…"

"It's sad…but they didn't realize how small the world actually is."

The End…for now!
