AN: Wassup guys? I'm feeling a little bit mellow right now so I'm not gonna have a really turnt up author's note. All I want to do is wish you a good day, and a lovely week. I wish I could've done a holiday special but I have been procrastinating a lot and I can't update enough in time. I'm sorry, it's my bad and I am trying to get better and better about updating. So, without further ado, let's get the show on the road!

Disclaimer: I do not own Borderlands, though for forever and eternity I wish I do.

Gaige's POV

I woke up feeling very relaxed and refreshed… is what I would've said if I woke up in my awesome queen sized bed to the smell of hot chocolate and breakfast. Instead I woke up on a couch that smelled an awful lot like vomit. I sat up and surveyed my surroundings. It was dark so I couldn't make much out, but I saw a bar, with all sorts liquor behind it. I sat up and looked around some more, and only to see a very, ahem, buxom woman walk in through a door behind the bar. She had this sexy clown look to her, like Harley Quinn from the DC Comics.

"So you're finally awake sugar," she said in a very smooth voice.

"U-u-uh, y-y-y-yeah. Not to be rude, but where the heck am I?" I asked in an embarrassed tone.

"You're in Sanctuary sugar. The last real force against Jack and Hyperion."

I suddenly snapped to attention.

"Wait did you say Sanctuary?"

"Yes, why?"

"No freaking way!" I shouted.

"What is it?"

"I'm a Vault Hunter, I've been trying to get here forever." I explained.

"You're a Vault Hunter?" she repeated skeptically.

"Yeah! Hold on… Look!" I said pulling my wanted poster out of my back pocket.

She still had a skeptic look on her face but still looked at it.

"Gaige, wanted for Illegal Technology Creation and Excessive adorability, and the worth is 820 billion?!" she exclaimed.

"Hehe, yeah." I said sheepishly.

"You look a little different from your picture," she said, recovering from the shock.

"Do I?"

"Hold on," she said, walking off.

After a few minutes she came back holding a hand mirror.

"Take a look," she told me, giving me the mirror.

I took and it from her, and looked at myself, and I realized what she meant. My hair, which is a natural bright red color, was covered with mud and grime, so much that it looked brownish black. My face was covered with stuff too, and so were my clothes when I finally took a good look at them.

I felt my cheeks heat up, and I quickly handed her back her mirror.

"See what I mean?"

"Y-yeah."

"But, I can see the resemblance. You really are a Vault Hunter."

"Uh-huh," I replied, when I suddenly remembered.

"Hey, was there somebody with me when I first came here?" I asked hurriedly.

"Oh yes there was wasn't there? She's knocked out over there," the woman pointed toward a nearby booth.

I felt a pressure lift off my chest, and relaxed.

"Oh yeah, I never did catch your name," I said.

"It's Moxxi doll. I'm assuming that your name is Gaige?"

"Yeah, and my friend over there is Zayne."

"Is she a Vault Hunter?"

"Yeah, I actually have her poster too," I said showing her Zayne's wanted poster.

"So she's wanted for Illegal Weapons Possession, Defacing Public Property, Underage Gambling, Trespassing, Profane Language, and Excessive Adorability with only one eye. And her worth is seven hundred sixty billion?!"

"Yeah and she's younger than me too. Oh yeah, everybody says that Zayne looks like an eleven year old boy, so how did you know that she was a girl?" I asked.

"Sweetie, I've had four kids and God knows how many husbands, I've been around the block a couple times," she said through an amused chuckle.

We talked for around another hour when we heard a pained groan from the booth where Zayne was unconscious at.

"Did anyone get the license of the bus driver that hit me?" came her very-so annoyed voice, her white hair and her body stained black with dirt and blood.

"Zayne!" I cried, jumping off the couch and tackle-hugging her.

"G-Gaige, k-kinda strangling me," she said.

"Oh, sorry," I giggled.

"It's ok. Where are we anyway?" she asked.

"Sanctuary if you can believe it."

"You're joking," she responded with disbelief.

"She's not sugar," Moxxi said coming up to the booth.

"And who're you?" Zayne inquired hostilely.

"Calm down sweetheart, I'm friendly."

Zayne looked at me for confirmation.

"It's ok, she's cool," I said.

"Ok then. Nice to meet you then Ms…" she said, holding out her hand.

"Moxxi. Just Moxxi doll," Moxxi replied, shaking her hand.

I started to smile, but it disappeared as soon as it came when I looked down. My tool belt, which was usually tied around my waist was missing, and so were my goggles.

"Wait, wait. Where's my goggles, and where's my tool belt?" I asked, starting to panic.

I looked around the booth, my torso, heck even my legs.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY?" I snarled.

"Calm down sugar. What did it look like?" Moxxi inquired.

"My tool belt was a plain brown leather one, and my goggles were neon welding ones," I said, forcing myself to calm down.

"If it was on you when you the Vault Hunters first brought you here they may have taken it with them. To make sure that you didn't try to hurt anyone in the town."

"That would make sense," Zayne commented.

"Where do we meet them?" I questioned.

"They told me when you two woke up to echo them. I echoed them a while back saying that Gaige here was awake, and they told me to hang on and that they would be here after doing some missions. They won't be back for another couple hours," Moxxi explained.

"So we just wait?" I asked exasperated.

"Yeah, sorry sugar."

I just sighed and leaned back in the booth.

"We've waited this long Gaige. Another few hours won't kill you."

"I know, and I'm not complaining. I'm just saying it's tedious."

"Well, while you two are waiting, do you want to play cards?"

"Sure why not."

"Hey Moxxi, how long have we been out?" I asked.

"A little over half the day," she replied.

"Wow, that long?"

"Yep, the other Vault Hunters did a number on you two. Let me just get the cards and we can start playing."

While she was somehow fishing the cards out of her cleavage, our friend Angel rung in. Angel was the one that guided us to Sanctuary, telling us what we needed to do and such. It was a bit weird to take orders from someone you didn't even know, but we were struggling to survive, so we didn't argue about it much.

"Moxxi might be a little… debonair but she is a very kind person, especially around children. You are in good hands with her."

Another thing about her was that she never talked too long.

"Let's get started," Moxxi said waving the cards.

And thus we prepared for the most fun we've had since we landed on Pandora.
