"You know, I smelled your scent in my room," stated the silent vamp that had been observing me quite intently as soon as I had stepped foot in the house.
"I thought maybe I should repay your family for leaving me like that" I replied knowing very well that he could sense my lying.
I swear I could feel his smirk as he stood behind me. "You've learned to lie better darling. Why don't you tell me the truth? I am very curious"
"I thought perhaps I could find some venom left." And at that moment I knew that I had been pumped full of false emotion; otherwise, I would have never admitted it.
"Bella, Bella, Bella! Haven't your parents taught you not to snoop? Did you really think we would be that careless?"
I knew full well that the cat was out of the bag, so I might as well come out of the closet.
"I think my parents wouldn't mind me snooping around if my life depended on it; if you haven't realized it yet I love living."- I said with a hint of anger and resentment behind my admittance.
"Such a little viper you are dear little Isabella. Did you really think I hadn't realized how much you wanted to be changed by now? You never even loved Edward, how clever you are little viper!"- He chuckled while saying.
"I'm already part of the supernatural, why wouldn't I want to change when everything is conspiring against me?"
"And here we all thought you had no sense of self- preservation. You sugar are perhaps the human with the best survival instinct I have ever met or seen. The Cullen's found a delicious little treasure this time." – Jasper implied.
"This time?"- I asked apprehensively. Suddenly I felt a foreboding feeling as I thought of the many different things that implication could mean for me.
"Didn't you know? The Cullen's love their humans; of course you are the first one to play such a huge part in their little family." – At that moment I could feel Goosebumps run through my arms, and immediately I turned around to truly see him for the first time after he'd left me with the others.
Jasper had a malicious smirk adorning his face, but that truly could do him no wrong when it came to his looks. For the first time since I meet the family, I truly looked him over; I suddenly knew I should have done that a long time ago.
Jasper simply put had an angelic visage; that however did nothing in hiding that he was a man's man. By the way he stood, he exuded a powerful and warrior- like aura, but funnily enough he also somewhat reminded me of a character in a vampire show call Damon.
Jasper was dangerous, but oh so delicious. I loved his curly blond hair; I bet if I had vampire sight he would be a sight to be seen. But before I continue rambling on how awesome- looking he was, I should continue my inquisition.
"What happened to the other humans?"- I questioned warily
"It honestly depends on who was interested in them, and how much they found out; the last human however was admitted to a mental ward" – He stated.
"What did they do to them?" – I asked.
"Nothing!"- He simply said.
"What do you mean nothing? The person ended in a mental ward, how is that nothing?"- I silently screamed at him.
"The Cullen's don't really check on those they leave behind when they decide to disappear. They don't realize how much of an effect they imprint on their poor little pray!"- He replied.
"What effect? Are you messing with me Jasper?"- I asked him speculatively.
"You've felt it too. When we left you for a year, you felt it. You little viper, however, knew about us and mistook what you felt for missing us out of love. Our scent, presence, voice it all does something to you humans. The Cullen's of course don't know that!"- He boringly replied once again.
"What do you mean?"- I asked.
"You darling should be dead by now; either that or you should have been admitted. That's what happened to all humans who spent too much time with us"- He replied, and with that he walked back heading to his room.
"Jasper wait!"
"We're back!" – Screamed a pixie-like voice.
