My name is Angela Weber, and I am a witch. Not a Wiccan witch-a real one. People, even those who knew about the reality of werewolves and vampires, always considered witches, warlocks, and wizards a joke. There are very few magical persons in the world. We try to blend in, and, if we stay near other non-humans, our strangeness dims in comparison. While we are more like humans than the other non-humans, we do not, like them, come from Earth. Each of us was born a star, crafted to perform the tasks at hand, and then sent to Earth as single cells, where we became human children. The Chieftain Warlock, Legardo Y, can choose to send us to different times and places. We hide carefully, for we are the most breakable of non-humans. It would be possible to hunt us to extinction, and, unlike the legends, we can burn.
I don't have a magic wand, or a cauldron, or a flying broomstick. Our main task is to help the other non-humans. If we can see that the rare "vegetarian" vampires need to hunt, we can move the clouds. If the shape-shifters of La Push are casting attention on themselves, we can create an illusion to hide them more thoroughly. It really isn't so exciting, but it is quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, when I say "we", I mean the Chieftain Warlock and myself. We are the last of our kind.
