A/N: Thanks you guys so much for the reviews. I really didn't know what to expect when I first posted this story, and in all honesty, I didn't expect to receive a lot of positive feedback. It is so hard to ship a pairing that is non-cannon, and I find it even more discouraging when people don't support the pairing that I ship; but you guys have received it well so far. So thanks you guys for all of the compliments and the feedback as far as improvements and compliments are concerned. You guys are awesome!

"The Breakup"

"Bra are you okay?" Pan asked, pulling the aqua-haired teen out of her thought. Bra jumped, startled by the action before meeting the concerned gaze of her friend.

"Sorry Pan." she said as she took a sip from her latte and leaned back against the leather seat of the corner booth. She and Pan were busy having a quick coffee break in between classes on campus and had decided to hangout in the cafe rather than heading straight to the library to study before their three o'clock classes.

"You want to tell me what's going on?" Pan asked. "You've been quiet all morning. You've barely said three words. I've done most of the talking and you know that's completely out of character for the two of us. So what gives?"

"I'm trying to decide how to break things off with Greg."

Pan choked on her iced coffee before slamming the plastic Starbucks cup down on the table top. She stared at Bra in disbelief as her mouth moved to find the right words to say.

"What do you mean you're breaking things off with Greg? I thought the two of you were doing great?"

"Well, we are." Bra admitted as she set her own cup down and folded her hands in her lap. "We've been dating for six months and he's really sweet and funny. It's just that...things are just nice. They aren't exactly what I'm looking for in a relationship. I mean, when we first met I thought he was the perfect guy for me, but somewhere along the road I came to realize that I was dating him because I was comfortable and involved in a routine, not because I had feelings for him or anything. Besides...Goten and I had a nice talk last night and as it turns out...we both have feelings for each other."

"Wait a minute...you and my Uncle Goten are like...a thing now?" Pan asked, her eyes wide as saucers.

"Yes." Bra said with a simple nod. "I've liked him for as long as I can remember. I mean, I thought the fact that he's older than me was going to keep us from every being involved with each other; but as it turns out, he returns my feelings. It was so wonderful Pan. I've never been kissed like that before."

"This is just...oh wow Bra...are you sure this is a good idea?"

"Hey, come on Pan. You're my best friend. Could you try and be a little bit supportive? I mean, if it was you and my brother who finally decided to admit to having feelings for one another, I'd totally cheer you on."

Pan's face reddened at the mentioning of Trunks. "Who says that I have a thing for your idiot brother?"

"You didn't have to say anything Pan. You're not exactly discrete when it comes to these things. I can read you like an open book."

Pan grumbled something under her breath before picking up her iced coffee again. Bra was pulled from the conversation as her phone began to ring. She smiled at the sight of Goten's name on the caller I.D. before answering.

"Hey you." she said sweetly, turning her attention away from Pan.

"Hey yourself." he answered. "Look there's a concert happening downtown in South City this weekend and I managed to score us some tickets. I was really opening you'd be interested in going with me. I think it will make for a good first date."

"That actually sounds kind of fun." Bra said with a giggle. "Who's playing?"

"The Zeta Bytes." Goten answered. "I've heard a few of their songs and they sound pretty decent. So, what do you say?"

"It's a date. Anyways, I'm supposed to be meeting Greg in a few minutes. I'm going to tell him about us."

"Let me know how that goes. I hope he'll take it easily."

"I wouldn't count on it. Anyways, I'd better be going. I love you."

"Love you too."

Bra smiled before hanging up the phone and meeting Pan's amused gaze. "What?"

"You really are flipped for my uncle."

Bra's smile quickly disappeared when she spied Greg walking through the entrance to the cafe. He was wearing the usual get up - a white beader beneath a short sleeved plaid shirt with baggy jeans and a pair of Jordans. His brown hair was styled into a crew cut and his eyes were a piercing green. He smiled when he spotted her before approaching the table.

"Hey beautiful." he said as she sat down next to her and kissed her cheek. Bra wrinkled her nose in disgust as the smell of cigarette smoke emanated from his shirt. Greg was a smoker and had the habit of going through an entire pack of Newports in just one day. It was a disgusting habit and Bra constantly pointed this out every time he lit one up, but Greg would just ignore her and continue on in spite of her wishes. It was definitely one of the things she wasn't going to miss about him.

"I'm gonna step outside for a minute." Pan said as she gave Bra a knowing look. "I promised my mom I'd call her back after I got out of class."

Bra nodded as Pan grabbed her cell phone and headed for the front door, leaving the two of them alone in the booth.

"So I got your text message earlier." Greg said. "What is it you wanted to talk to me about?"

"It's not really easy for me to say, but I guess it's better for me to just get it over and done with." Bra sighed.

Greg gave her a questioning look. "What's going on?"

"Greg, things with us have been great these past few months, but I just don't think we're right for each other."

"Wait a minute...are you breaking up with me?"

Bra gave him a sad look and nodded. "It's not that I don't like you Greg. You've been so good to me and I've had fun these past few months, but that's just it. This relationship of ours has been fun. I mean, it really isn't going anywhere. I'm not feeling that spark of love or interest that makes me want to stay in this relationship. I'm sorry for hurting you, but at this time...I think it's best if we just go our separate ways."

"There's someone else isn't there?" he asked, his voice dangerously low. "What's his name?"

"There isn't someone else Greg. I just think we've reached the end of our relationship is all."

"Don't give me that crap." he snapped as he took hold of her wrist. "I'm not stupid Bra, and I know when I'm being lied too. Who is he? It's that Goten guy isn't it?"

"So what if it is?" Bra asked suddenly becoming offensive. "I've known Goten a lot longer than I've known you and he and I just have a special kind of relationship that you and I will never have. Look Greg, you're a nice guy and all, but I can't deal with your fits of jealousy, the smoking, the constant need to be out partying, the side looks you give to other girls when we're out in public. I'm sick of it, okay? I just think things will be better if we end this here and now."

"We aren't through until I say we're through." Greg said as his grip on her wrist tightened.

"Let go of me Greg, you're hurting me." Bra said as she looked around the cafe at several onlookers who had noticed their little quarrel.

"We're going to talk about this right now Bra."

"There's nothing left to talk about." Bra said as she snatched her wrist away and slid around the booth to head for the front door. "We're through."

Just as Bra's hand grabbed the door handle, she was spun around quickly and pushed up against the wall. Several onlookers stood from their seats and began to shout for Greg to let her go, but he wouldn't budge. Bra winced as his hands gripped her shoulders tightly. She was sure she was going to have bruises by the time this was over.

"You aren't going anywhere." Greg growled.

Bra grit her teeth before kneeing the boy in the stomach. He doubled over in pain and Bra mentally thanked her father for instilling a few self-defense techniques into her memory.

"Don't touch me." Bra warned him. "We are through Greg. If I wasn't sure of that before, I'm definitely sure of it now. Just stay away from me."

Greg watched as Bra stepped out of the cafe and headed over to Pan. He growled angrily as he grit his teeth together in rage.

"You're going to regret this Bra."
