"Hey, Felix, you hear about that hurricane hitting Mexico?" says a tall burly man taking a seat at his desk. He sets his freshly poured cup of coffee next to his desktop; he has been working on a case since the morning of the previous day.
A tired disinterested voice comes form behind a monitor across from the tall man. "Uh, Hurricane Allen, right? Or Alex or something?"
"Hey, what's up with the computer?" The taller one asks, hitting the top of his monitor. The black screen turns fuzzy for a second but goes back to black. Then the other man starts to hit his own, computer.
"You may need to plug these into the router"
Mindy Macready, decked out in a wig, cape and mask, stands at the doorway to the precinct, twirling a long black cord.
"How'd you get in here?" Felix asks while the tall man bursts into a fit of laughter. Mindy walks over to the men and starts sifting through there files. In the blink of an eye, the tall man has his gun out, pointing it right at her. She's stops but doesn't recoil in fear, just smiles.
"Cool. Now we can start." She flings the papers she was holding into his eyes and jumps over the desk landing beside Felix. Bullets leave the gun but Mindy has already ran across the desk back behind the tall man. She jumps on him, sitting on his shoulders, wrapping the black cord around his neck. In a second she twists the cord at the same time jumping backwards, taking the man with her. They flip; Mindy leaving his shoulders just has he hits the ground on his lies there trying to pull the cord as Mindy ends his conscienceless with a punch in the back of the head.
"Wait! Wait!" Felix comes up from under his desk where he had been hiding. Mindy removes the cord from the mans neck and starts twisting it oddly.
"Listen, just listen to me please. What's your name? I can help you."
MIndy smirks. "Hit-Girl."
The cord flies form her hand with one end attached to her wrist through a loop. The other end had been knotted with the plug-in part sticking as it hits Felix in the face. She pulls it back and runs up the wall closest to her, landing just behind him. The same thing is executed on this man as was the other.
"Fuck," the fugitive says, looking at her phone seeing 47 missed calls. The next time the phone rings, Mindy answers but at the same time tries to pull up the software to find her killer. 1...2...3...
"C'mon, c'mon. Stay on!"
14 seconds later the caller hangs up. "Grahh!" In rage, she pushes the monitor off the desk. "Fucking fuck! God dammit!" She picks up the monitor and throws in across the room. The phone rings again but this time she doesn't wait for him to hang up. One second before the caller is due to hang up, Mindy beats him to it. He calls back and again Mindy hangs up before them. They go at this until both hit zero.
"God..." She sets the phone down in defeat and sits on the floor of the police station. For a while she sits and lets her tears finally fall until she realizes more officers could come in any second. Mindy stands up replaces the computer monitor and puts the detectives back in their chairs, still both unconscious. As she lives, the phone rings.
Mindy walks over to the desk and answers it. "Hello?"
"Congratulations, Hit-Girl. You are officially the most predictable girl ever." The line goes dead.
The voice was unrecognizable to Mindy but it she had to find this creep no matter what.
"God, I'm gonna kick this motherfucker's ass... Kick-Ass... Kick-Ass!"
