I sigh as I step out of Klaus' car. Why was he making me do this again? Oh, yeah, because he wanted me to become a hybrid. I pull my sweater tighter around myself as Klaus drives off.

I hate him, I hate him, I hate him. My mind has been repeating that ever since I saw Elijah daggered in Alaric's apartment. I strut into the pub we stopped at for Ray Sutton. Apparently, Klaus wants him to be the first hybrid. I've no idea why though- there's several other werewolves that would be so much better.

I sit a few seats down from Ray and immediately order a Samuel Adams Boston Lager. "I don't know of a lot of women who like Boston Lager."

I can't help but smirk. I had caught his attention immediately. I turn to him. "I'm no normal woman. Name?"

He grins, "Ray Sutton." Just who I was looking for. "I'm Hazeline Marcus."

His eyes widen with fear. I slightly like seeing that. Oh god, what's wrong with me?

"Ray? Ray Sutton?" The werewolf looks up. "Who is asking?"

"Take your mother out. She's hungry and I can handle this," Klaus commands. I nod. Mom follows me out of the bar and into the SUV.

I grab a blood bag and hand it to her. "Drink up, I want to go back inside and see what's up." Her face changes as she basically inhales the blood.

"You know, he doesn't want you to see some of the stuff he does. That's why he sends you to the car when we go out," she tells me after she's finished the blood. I roll my eyes. "He doesn't know what I've seen. Neither do you."

I hear her sigh as I step out of the car and start walking back to the bar.

I watch some brunette walk up to Klaus. "Mister Klaus, I have some news for you. His brother was seen around the farmhouse a few days ago."

Klaus nods and compels her, "Keep up the good work." She nods and walks out of the bar. Stefan's immediately in front of him.

"Let me handle it." Klaus smirks. "Why should I?" Stefan crosses his arms. "Because you know I'll come back." Klaus contemplates this for a moment before nodding and sending Stefan on his merry way.

I chuckle as I put the pieces together. Klaus turns to me, "What are you chuckling about, sunshine?" "Four words: the doppelgänger is alive." Oh, my accent made that sound so much more menacing. I love it.

"How do you figure that?" I look into Klaus' deep blue eyes. "Think about it. The older Salvatore doesn't give a damn about your Ripper. He only cares about the doppelgänger and would do anything to make her happy, including bringing his living hell home." Klaus smirks, "You're learning."

I smile while rolling my eyes. Why am I smiling? "You want to see how you're supposed to turn someone?" I look back to Klaus, "Not particularly."

He gets up and has a short conversation with Ray before forcefeeding him his blood and snapping his neck. "I give it a C+. I didn't like the force behind the feeding." Klaus glares at me for a moment. "You're lucky I want to get some practice down before I turn you."

I grin widely at him before taking a long swig of my beer. This was... this was sorta fun.

"So I talked to Miranda," my mom mumbles. I turn to her. "Klaus let you talk to her?" She nods, "He said I needed some regularity in my life."

I sigh. Why was he treating her so good when he was the one who made Stefan feed her blood and snap her neck? It made me angry just to think about it. "Are you alright, love?"

I look up into Klaus' eyes. "Perfectly fine, love. Just fine." His eyebrows shoot up, "Alright then."
