Author's note: Hey guys. Finally here is the first chapter. I own nothing of the Glee universe. So even though I am writing a Glee story, this is an AU story and all the characters aren't exactly how they are in the TV series so please don't say stuff to me like, 'Rachel isn't like that or Quinn wouldn't do that or Santana wouldn't say that'. I like constructive criticism but please don't attack me and get mean unnecessarily. Tell me what you think of this story or don't. Just as long as you enjoy the story.

Chapter 1

Quinn's POV

Ever make one decision that could end up effecting your whole future and you didn't even know it when you made it? Well I did and I can't say I regret it, because even though it took away every important thing or person from me, I got to meet an amazing girl who saw the best in me and the worst and still loved me for me. Well that was until she saw a part of me that she couldn't accept because in the end it hurt her more than she was willing to forgive and I don't blame her. We went from friends to "hey" buddies (we greet each other when we see each other) to kinda friends to dating and then finally, Rachel hating my guts.

It all started freshman year of high school. Everything was going perfectly. My best friend and I tried out for the Cheerios, I became captain and got into photography club. It all fell into place and then the most amazing girl walked into the school and took my breath away. I was leaning against the lockers as Santana was busy putting away her books after school. She was telling me about this place she and Britt went to over the weekend but I wasn't really paying attention.

That was when it happened. Everything stood still as this girl walked in our direction.

"Wow…" I said as I stared at her. "Are you even listening to me Q?" Santana asked as she looked at me and noticed I was not paying attention to her anymore. She followed my line of sight.

"Stop drooling Q, you might slip and fall on it." Santana snarked.

"Who is that?" I voiced the first coherent thought. "That is Rachel Berry. She is the new student that just transferred in from Carmel High. She is the daughter of The Shelby Corcoran." Santana told me.

"As in the coach of Vocal Adrenaline, the reason they are 3 time winners of the National competition for Glee?" I asked surprised.

"The one and only. I heard she came here to get out of the shadow of her mother and succeed on her own." Santana explain. "But then again, maybe she is just here to steal our ideas and force New direction further into the ground then we already are." Santana shrugged her shoulders. See here is the thing, Santana might be in Glee club but that is only because Britt asked her to join. Well, that's what she tells people.

Anyway, back to this fantastic girl. She had long brown hair, legs that go on forever, chocolate brown eyes you could get lost in. To be honest she was the most beautiful girl I had ever laid eyes on. As I was admiring her (drooling according to Santana), she looked at me and smiled and I thought that I could see myself marrying this girl.

Now after finding out all that, you ask, how did I go from marrying this girl to being completely alone?

Well, this is how _

High school (freshman year 9 years ago)

"I'm home!" I shouted as I walked into my house.

"Hi princess. How was your day at school?" My dad asked coming from his study. "It was school." I shrugged. My dad just laughed and pulled me into a sideways hug. "Dinner is almost ready, you should go clean up. After dinner, if your mom allows us, maybe we can have a look at the mustang and see if we can finally figure out what is wrong with it." I nodded and went upstairs. Me and my dad are extremely close. I am a daddy's girl yes, but not your typical one. Seeing as my mom and Charlie (my older sister) have most things in common, they always did things together and my dad and I did things. Not to say I don't have a relationship with my mom. When I need my mom she is always there for me.

My dad and I bought this 1964 GT 500 mustang awhile back and we started fixing it up together. Now I know what you are thinking, really, fixing up a car. My dad always said that a true independent woman knows how to do everything herself and doesn't need a man for it. So he taught me everything I know. We spent hours fixing it up and it looks amazing. There are still a few problems, but we will get it running soon.

After washing up and changing out of my Cheerios uniform, I ran back down and into the kitchen. "Hi mom. Sorry I'm late. Practice ran long." I said as I saw my mom dishing up food. "It's okay sweetie. You are just in time for dinner." She said with a smile.

We sat down and had dinner like we do every night as a family. After dinner my dad and I went to the garage to work on the car. We worked for about an hour while just talking about every day stuff. "So, you talk to Rachel yet?" my dad asked. "I talk to her every day dad." I avoided the question. "You know what I mean Quinnie. Have you asked the girl out on a date yet?" he asked as he smirked at me. My parents knew I was gay. I spoke to them as soon as I accepted it myself. My strict Christian parents accepted me right away. My dad had started laughing when I finally said it out loud and when I just looked at them he stopped and asked me if I was serious. When I said yes, he just told me he already knew that I enjoyed the female form more than I am supposed to. His words, not mine…

Ever since I met Rachel, he has been encouraging me to ask her out, but I was too shy. I knew she liked both male and female and that there is a chance that she might like me to (thanks to Brittany). I just don't have the guts to walk up to her and say: "hey, go out on a date with me?" I am to chicken shit for that. "No dad. You know I can't do that." I said ducking my head. "You are my daughter, you can do anything you put your mind to and let me tell you, any girl would be lucky to have you on their arm." My dad said to me as he hugged me. He always knew the right thing to say. "How bout we see if this piece of junk will start now?" he said as we pulled away.

I got into the car and turned the key and believe me when I say, I was surprised when it finally started. We got so excited and celebrated our success. I was looking at my dad and laughed when suddenly he stopped what he was doing. He grimaced as he clutched his chest and grabbed the table next to him to stay up right. "DAD!" I screamed as he went down and I caught him. "MOM, HELP!" I yelled for my mother. She came running in and saw my dad in my arms and ran back inside to call 911.

"Just hold on dad. Everything is going to be okay. Please just hold on." I begged my dad as tears ran down my face.

So, the first chapter is done. So for the second chapter I am debating jumping a bit into the future. What do you think?
