*carefully enters the stage* Hello guys and sorry for the long unacceptable pause, but I had some very very serious problems with this chapter because emotions (Really not my area of expertise those emotions. Especially the happy adorable ones that wildly appear throughout a date.) Whatever, as you can see I got the chapter done! Everything can be solved with a little Fly me to the Moon and a chocolate cake. (It's done in time for Valentine's day too.)

Now, enough with my talking. Go enjoy the chapter you were all waiting (patiently) for. Disclaimer resides on the first chapter.

It was finally time. Break was, of course, ready for some time now and was pacing impatiently around his living room, glancing at the old antique clock on top of his fireplace at random moments and cursing the time for, well, taking it's time.

After what seemed like eternity to him the hands of the clock showed the long expected time and he dashed to the door, only to bump into no other than Reim who was ready to ring the bell.

"Break?"

Break looked up at the sound of the confused voice to the even more confused and suspicious face of his friend.

"Hello Reim, I'm very sorry but I have an important business and I don't wish to be late so I'm afraid I have to bid you goodbye."

He started to get past the other only to be stopped again.

"And what kind of business is that if I may ask? Break, please, tell me you are not involved in something dangerous again."

"Reim I'm sorry but, as I said, I need to go now. This date is important and I don't want to mess up."

Reim seemed to study his friend for a while before sighing and moving to the side.

"Fine, you can go." He watched as the other hastily started down the road once more and then shouted loud enough to be sure the other heard him. "Don't expect I won't get my explanation later though."

Break couldn't help but smile at that last sentence. This is Reim for you, always worrying and fussing over him like a mother over her child, something that only became more and more of a routine after the symptoms of his illness started kicking in for good.

Lost in his thoughts he didn't notice when he arrived at the pastry shop. Without wasting a second he opened the door and walked in instantly searching for Cheshire. He spotted him bent behind the counter, probably doing some last minute cleaning before the closing. Any other day he would just stand there, silent, smiling at the angry mumbles of the boy while waiting for him to notice his presence, but not today. Today he was as eager to spend time with his little kitten, he decided after a few days of knowing him to call him 'kitten', as a child that was promised a trip at the paradise of sweets and, maybe, a little more. Unable to wait anymore he coughed to get the others attention and giggled when said other squeaked in surprise and jumped up to glare at him. How adorable it was when he was trying to look threatening. Well, sometimes, when he was really really mad Cheshire was terrifying, but Break only saw him like this once when some boys of the neighborhood were torturing two little kittens for fun. What happened that day was something Break never wanted to live again, thus he was trying not to get into Chesh's bad side. Shaking the not so pleasant memory out of his mind he walked closer to the counter and grinned.

"So...Is my little kitten ready?"

Cheshire blushed at the nickname, hissing a barely audible response and then checked one last time to see if everything was in place before he walked from behind the counter and to where he was always hiding his bag and jacket. This gave a chance to the older male to check on the younger's choice of clothing. Break had to admit, the boy did a really good job on finding clothes that could pass as casual yet they were formal for almost every occasion. In other words Chesh was stunning in an approachable way. He was wearing a pair of tight black jeans with cuts in the front that allowed red fabric to be shown. The pants were accompanied by a darker red shirt without sleeves that was perfectly following the curves of his body. In the front it was decorated with long cuts, one on every side, with their parts kept together with black satin threads. Under the shirt was a black top that reached the boys hips. The whole picture was complete with black and red stripped fingerless gloves that were reaching the elbows, black nails and eyeliner and black converse. The boy must noticed the other staring at his clothes because he blushed and looked away causing Break to smile.

"Shall we go then?" he asked.

Cheshire nodded and, while still wearing his black jacket, opened the door waiting for the white haired man to get out too before he locked it, dropping after he had done so the keys in his small leather bag.

"So, where are we going?" he turned to ask.

"Surprise~." was the grinning response of the coated man, his visible red eye shinning with mischief.

The dark haired boy huffed but remained silent and followed after the grinner. He already knew it was going to be a long night. Obviously Break's attitude wasn't helping him relax. As if sensing it Break grabbed his hand and squeezed comfortingly.

"Don't worry Cheshire, we're going to have a lot of fun, I promise."

Seeing the honest smile on the others lips Cheshire immediately calmed down. He was still curious as to what his clown was planning but he decided that he was going to have a good time whatever it was, so he smiled back.

After twenty minutes of walking Cheshire could hear loud music and a lot of voices. He questioningly looked at Break who just grinned, never looking away from the source of the noise.

"We are almost there."

Indeed they were. Soon after Cheshire could see what was causing all this commotion. It was nothing else than the Carnival. He giggled a little, a soft playful sound. Of course he should expect something like that from the clown. Sweets and toys and music...This must be heaven for Break. He could feel him literally beaming just by looking at it. He himself decided to be a little childish for a while and dragged his companion towards the gates. Once inside he stopped, lost in all the colors and sounds and the many many places to go. Places to play and places to eat...Was it able for him to go to all of them? He hoped so because he wouldn't be able to chose.

"Say Cheshire, where do you want us to go first?" Break asked.

Cheshire looked around trying to decide where he wanted to go first. Difficult choice was difficult. Then he saw it. It was hidden behind the Carousel and he couldn't see it at first, but now...now he did and he grinned, once more tagging Break behind him. A lot of pushing and tagging later he was standing in front of his destination: The Ghost Train.

"Are you sure this is where you want to go first?" a serious Break asked.

"Yes!"Cheshire beamed. "You are not afraid are you?" a teasing Cheshire answered.

"I am only afraid that you are gonna faint on me dear. I am not sure you can handle the terror."

"You will be surprised. Now let's go before it starts without us!"

After Break paid for the tickets, there was no way he would allow Cheshire to pay for anything tonight, they climbed on the train with the other few "brave" costumers and waited for it to slowly enter the house. Both Cheshire and Break had to agree that the designer of this place knew very well what he was doing. Everything was so perfectly planned and well lighten that the monsters looked as real as the people screaming on the other wagons. Break though, being the insane clown he always was, was laughing through the whole ride. Cheshire couldn't help but do so too. He could never resist laughing when he was with Break.

When the ride ended they moved to the next and then to another one and yet another one until, as Cheshire hoped, they want everywhere and, as Break promised, they had a lot of fun. Actually they had so much fun, they didn't realized how quickly time passed and the other visitors started leaving. Deciding that they themselves had enough adventures for today they slowly walked towards the gates, stopping only to buy some candies from a kiosk, and out to the big park opposite the road from the Carnival. It had to be nearly midnight now and a chilly wind had cleared every cloud from the sky, allowing the light of the moon to bath everything. Said wind made Cheshire slightly shiver and wish he had a warmer jacket instead of the one he was currently wearing. Break glanced at the shivering figure next to him and took of his own coat, dropping it over Cheshire's shoulders.

"What are you doing? Break, you will get a cold without your coat!"

Cheshire tried to untangle himself from the enormous coat, but Break was having none of it. The more Cheshire tried to take off the coat the more he kept pushing the coat against the others shoulders.

"Cheshire." he said using his strict teacher's voice. "You are shivering so you're taking this coat. And I won't accept any arguments on the subject."

Looking at Chesh only to make sure he had won the argument and seeing the pouting face of an irritated kitten he smiled and sat down on a bench opening the bag with the candies, offering one to the boy who sat down next to him.

They sat there in silence eating candies and looking at the moon when suddenly Break started humming causing Cheshire to look up at him.

"What are you doing?"

"Humming."

"I know that, I mean why?"

"I was looking at the moon and I remembered one of my favorite songs. I found it fitting so I started humming it."

"What song is it?"

"Fly me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra."

"I like the name."

"I'm sure you'll like the song too when you hear it."

Cheshire didn't answer and looked at the moon instead. Then he opened his bag and looked for his phone to check the time.

00:33.

God it was late. He had to leave now and go 'home', grab his things and the cats and get out to find a place to pass the night. Thinking all that he stood up quickly and turned to the older man.

"I'm sorry but I need to go. Thanks for tonight."

He gave the other his coat back and turned to leave, only to feel a hand grab his arm.

"You are not going anywhere until you tell me what got you so worried."

"I am not worried..."

"The moment you looked at your phone you got the face of a hunted man. I call that worried so tell me."

The boy looked at the others determined face and sighed.

"My landlord kicked me out because he found out about the cats. He told me to get rid of them, I refused and he said I have til tomorrow, or better, today to grab my things and empty the house so, now, I have to go do so and find a place for all three of us to sleep and when morning comes get out to find a new home."

Break was looking at the boy with a blank expression on his face. Sure he was angry and he wanted to make the man who kicked his kitten and his kitten's kittens out on the streets suffer, yet he wasn't going to let it show. Instead he just thought of happy things to calm himself down and, once he did, he smiled.

"You should have told me earlier so we could' ve already gotten your stuff and the cats and be at my house drinking tea and eating delicious cake."

Cheshire blinked.

"Really? Tea and cake at one in the morning?"

"It's never too late for tea and cake~. Especially not when I get newcomers in the house." Break said in a playful tone, taking Chesh's hand in his own again and starting towards where he knew the others ex-house was. The boy was still unsure though and was trying to free his hand, giving up only when the other looked at him confused.

"Are you sure? For letting me live with you I mean."

Break took a moment to study the beautiful face of his kitten. Then, grinning, he tagged him closer to him and kissed him right on the lips. A soft gentle kiss that only lasted for seconds.

"I think I am." he said smiling.

That's it, it's finally done.

I wanna thank NO Gears, Goshikku Himewa Yami-san, M4try0shk4 Karkat, mimi, kittens and the other guest for reviewing and, also, all the people who added the story to their favorites.

Also I think this is a good place to say that the story will probably have one more chapter because I can barely get Chesh and Break to inspire me anymore on this. They keep pestering me about Caged though...

Finally, I am sorry for the parts of the story where my writing slips and the characters get ooc, but I have a stupid cat here attacking my hair sticks and thus ruining my fabulous hair and my concentration.

Thanks again, your crazy writer.
