Fire! Fire was everywhere, there was no where left to run. But, yet she still didn't show fear. Not even when a strange black figure made its way out of the fire and towards her. He or whoever it was, was trying to tell her something... but it was drowned out by a load and repetitive beeping sound...
Cerenidee sprung up in bed as her hand slammed down on her alarm clock.
She was covered in sweat, but it was not unusual for this time of year. Even though it was almost fall, it still felt like the beginning of summer all over again.
Then she realized what day it was. She leaped out of bed and raced to her calendar. Yes, it was the first day of school, but not just any first day. The first day of her senior year. The day that finally meant that she ruled the school.
"Cerenidee! You're going to be late for school." her mother yelled up the stairs.
"Kay." Cerenidee hollered out her door at her, as she grabbed her towel off the back of her door and headed for the bathroom.
She was almost there when a blur of black hair zoomed past her and into the bathroom.
"Michael!" she yelled.
"You snooze you loose." he hollered back.
Cerenidee retreated to her room knowing that she wouldn't be having a shower this morning and started looking through her cloths for the perfect outfit to wear on her first day back to school. After standing there for 20 minutes she finally decided on a pair of black shorts, her blue plaid shirt, and brown cowboy boots.
She looked in the mirror. God she was a spitting image of her father. The same light brown sandy hair, and deep blue eyes. Unlike her mother and two younger brothers Michael and Quinn who had pitch black hair and emerald green eyes.
Cerenidee shook her head trying to get the image of her father out of her mind. The thought of him still brought tears to her eyes.
She grabbed her bag and headed down stairs to the kitchen where her mother was pouring herself a cup of coffee.
"I swear Michael should have been born a girl, he is the only guy i know who spends 30 minutes styling his hair." Cerenidee complained grabbing her lunch money off the table and putting it in her pocket.
"Stop teasing him." Her mother laughed cause she know it was true.
Cerenidee rolled her eyes and grabbed her keys off the key rack and head for the door.
"Wait for your brother." He mom called.
"No way, hair boy is going to make me late."
