Puppy Love
by priya
The best gift Cho ever received was the little brown beagle her mum gave her when she turned eight.
She named her Lola and took her everywhere. The two of them waltzed around the parks together and Cho read Lola books and Lola licked Cho's cheeks. They were best friends, and as a little girl, Cho was convinced she would never love anyone more than her dog.
In fact, she refused to go to Hogwarts if Lola couldn't come with her and only acquiesced after a lot of pleading from her parents and promises they wouldn't dream of neglecting the doggy in any way.
Saying bye to Mum and Daddy and Lola on the train station was the saddest day eleven-year-old Cho ever had. In a few short minutes, she bid farewell to all the members of her family and everyone in her little world that she loved. Hogwarts ended up being a lot less terrible than she had imagined, but nothing compared to the excited barking and excitement from Lola when she went home. Nothing quite compares to puppy love.
